    Started out on Christmas Eve with a veggie tray and dip, and a meat and cheese tray. Christmas dinner at my Brothers was lovely. I seen my great nephew, whom I hadn't seen in 19 years. He is almost 21 now.. Enjoyed visiting with other family as well.

    I enjoyed Turkey, salmon, sweet potatoes, stuffing & green beans. Also had a glass of red wine with supper. I had veggies,cheese, shrimp, meat tray, pickles earlier that day before dinner.

    Was up 3 lbs over LDW, Boxing day I did the Frappa from THM, had tuna salad sandwich on sprouted bread/ carrot/ginger soup. Can't remember what I had for supper, and yesterday had steak and eggs for breakfast, last night Cauliflower and hamb. steak. I am now 1lb over LDW

    So l think I will be okay

    Well I forgot I had dinner plans with the neighbor tonight. We had tenderloin, bread with balsamic reduction and avocado oil. Was hard to say no. Had just a bit. Then she had yorkshire pudding, salads, potatoes and veggies. And she brought out wine lol.

    I totally enjoyed the meal, but will have to see what tomorrow brings because of it.

    Well have eaten more carbs and sweets than usual...my husband made a great lasagna for Christmas plus sausage grits rice nd beans not to mention the candy breads and cookies i made. Fortunately i weighed on the 26th and was up 2 lbs but back down on the 27th Today was 135.2 so no complaints Staying close to 6 lbs below LIW and about 5 lbs under original goal for R5. I am trying very hard to stay on track the day following larger amounts of carb/fatty mixtures and that seems to help. Now will be moving from hotel to hotel for two months so hoping this year unlike in the past that i stick with what works

    Oh to winter in Florida--lol, I hope your shows are going well and are being productive. 134! WOW Rose!! So proud of you.. you're doing fantastic.. there are so many threads about people going rogue on P2-- it's all I can do to follow the original protocol-- I lose so slowly to begin with. I have since I had 80 lbs to lose.. All their ideas sound delicious to incorporate.. but I don't have to try them to know what my results would be... no loss or even a gain... my body is so temperamental .... Just goes to show how different our bodies really are...
    I'm hoping to get close to goal this round.. and I will put an extreme amount of conscientiousness/awareness on my first week of P3... the other weeks are important too, but I think I make MY mistakes in P3week 1-- so this is where I will concentrate the most...

    I hope your husband and family are in good health.. and I wish you all the best for the New Year!!!

    Happy New Year! Sorry I've been MIA lately. I got out of the habit of coming here. I hope you all have been doing okay. I've been struggling since Christmas to get back into the 150s. Today I weighed 161, which is actually better than it was around New Years. Too much socializing and eating like everyone else. Now, whenever I eat P3ish, I start losing. The trouble is I get so caught up in the fun that I forget that my weight comes back when I eat like I used to.

    It did not pay to leave this forum. I do need accountability, and I'm not getting it from the world. It's astounding how much refined food people eat/offer/produce. Last night at Teen Night, this one chaperone sitting by me kept offering me cookies, pretzels, chips, and popcorn. I caved and ate a cup of popcorn, but resisted the rest.

    I have a goal of being back in the 150s by my 50th birthday. I only have 2 lbs. to lose to get there and it's 8 days away. Nothing like turning 50 to get you focused! Then, once I'm 159, I only be 4 lbs. above LDW. The only part that I can tell I've gained in is my gut, which will look so awesome again once I lose it!

    Keep on keeping on, ladies! It's so good to be back.

    OK-- so you splurged... no biggie, you've been there before and you've brought it down... you shall return to your LIW soon.. just stay on track this week and drink a lot of water.. flush it out..
    so glad you came back for support.. I do find that some of us, still need that accountability... or even a safe place where we can be honest behind a screen.. and then adjust accordingly..

    Jayk?? are you around-- how's it going?? are you doing thm?
    Rose- I know you pop in and out at times.. I hope that you are enjoying Florida. How are the shows going? Are you having much traffic at them? do you show different methods for different locations..
    ABS- stick around!!

    AFM-- I'm down another pound today... finishing up with my 2nd week on P2-- so I have a ways to go.. but that's ok.. I'm looking forward to P3 this time ( again).. seems I learn something new each time, which is great... I'm determined to get that first week of P3 right...

    Hey Kapluzie,
    Good for you doing the work you need to succeed in P2. Another pound is great! And you sound a lot more confident about P3 now than when I met you last summer. Good for you, learning from mistakes.
    I'm also going to visit that THM site. I finally ordered the book off Amazon.
    Thank you for reminding me to drink my water. I think when I'm dehydrated I mistake thirst for hunger.
    I'm sitting here in front of a space heater because it's frigid outside and the part of the house I'm in needs extra help warming up.

    A good P2 lunch that I had in P3-fashion (with butter) was celery and shrimp with Creole seasoning. Yum! Even my 18-year old daughter said she liked it. Celery never tasted so good. I always cut the celery into 1/2-inch pieces and the shrimp in half so a little goes a long way.

    I'm wearing a long sweater with horizontal stripes but don't feel fat in it. It's nice to be able to wear what you like. I really bought it for its style and wool content. It's a medium.

    It's good to be back here.
