    Cool

My last entry didn't make it in here. I visited and responded a couple days ago...

Sorry gals, I was a technical writer (manuals, etc.) and not a writer of anything gripping. I also wrote marketing material, but no books. I am teaching Grammar and Composition right now to home schoolers. I read a lot of books, though...

I'm at 161 right now, 3 lbs. away from LDW. I was 160 over the weekend, but then went up for some reason. It's okay. I'm on my way down.

I got a Fitbit recently and was shocked by two things I discovered by using it:
    1. I only average 3,000 to 4,000 steps per day.
    2. I'm averaging 7 to 7.5 hours of sleep per night, and usually less because i wake to go to the bathroom.

It's kind of amazing that I'm not gaining weight with so little exercise and sleep. How do you guys do in those categories?

Tanya, I just made chocolate cookies that were yummy with almond meal, xylitol, Truvia, egg, vanilla, baker's chocolate, and butter. I like your peach cobbler idea. Thanks for sharing.

    Hello All,
Abs- sounds like you're doing great. You're stable and enjoying life.
Rose- you've been stable for awhile on P4 and traveling!!

AFM-- only 2 days into P3 and I'm already 2.2 over LIW-- the difference in my diet has been lamb and broccoli rabe. I'm thinking that the broccoli rabe is the culprit as in the past broccoli made me gain. did a steak day today-- and it's the first time that I hated a steak day!! I can't believe I'm only in 2 days and doing a steak day. Hopefully, tomorrow starts a new day with either being below or at LIW. No more broccoli rabe for me
I also think that my portions were too big. I often have this problem, as I don't have that feeling of satisfaction or fullness.. so I pretty much have to guess how much to eat. I can eat all day long and not get full. I will be mindful of this from now on. OYE!!! P3 is just so challenging for me. I envy all of you that could just move into P3 and remain below or at LIW. I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it, I won't give up.. I will get the combination that my body needs. I'm taking notes so that I don't make the same mistakes over and over. Wish me luck ladies!

    Keep on posting...

Wishing you lots of luck kapluzie... That's a great idea to make notes of what causes you a gain and just keep moving on.
    Your doing great.
For me P3 was just remembering to get the fats in, and enjoying my cauliflower and butter lol. I still ate a lot of salads, but at least a combination of stuff in them. And mostly bacon, eggs and chicken with the skin lol. Roasts, burgers in lettuce wraps.

I ran out of ginger juice, and had to order more. Can't buy it anywhere nearby. I love being able to have my Good Girl Moonshine on weekends.
Tomorrow I may try a different shrinker drink from THM

Weather was beautiful warm today, so after work had time to take the dog for a walk.

Abs.... I suck at writing lol. I think that's fantastic what you have wrote though.. I know people pay good for technical writers, marketing etc. Not everyone has a talent for such things. Boy you are one busy lady with all that home schooling and stuff

I am not sure how many steps a day I do, but am pretty much always on my feet and moving. Then I love to walk a lot after work/weekends.
I don't sleep well at night and probably don't get 7 hours a night. It's rare in the week if I do get one good nights sleep.
I also still get the 'sweats' a few days or so a month. Those nights I really don't sleep well.

    Hey gals,
Just a quick check-in. I made my kids corn dogs w/ gluten-free flour and corn meal. It was harder than I expected! Had a bite of one and was surprised by how sweet corn meal is! I'm glad I could resist temptation...those things are basically fatty carbs and protein on a stick--not at all THM-friendly.
Am reconsidering the FitBit (if I can return it at this point) for two reasons: 1) EMFs and 2) accuracy. I don't know if having it on my wrist constantly is necessarily good for us, although I found the nighttime measurements very interesting. Also, so far today my FitBit says I only walked 992 steps, but my old stepper recorded 1901 steps. I've been wondering why I've only been averaging 3,000 steps per day...

Jayk you write fine for what your needs are. My husband is excellent at math, so much so that I have him tutor our high schooler in Algebra because I struggle with that. We all have our thing. What do you like to do?

Keep up the good fight, ladies! I went out with friends last night and rationalized that "it was Sunday" so I had 2.5 glasses of wine, plus salty food. I was up 3 lbs. today. No kidding. Astounding how we can fluctuate.

On a happier note, my friend who wasn't losing as fast as she expected (only 20 lbs. in her first round and less in the rest) is maintaining nicely in her second P3 and is finally starting to enjoy feeling thin. She looks great. I couldn't be happier for her (or more relieved--what if it didn't work after all that time and effort!).

I had a rocky start, as usual. But I'm stable now. 3/4 days at same weight. .. Feeling good.
Keeping busy, working everyday. Kids schedule- well you know how that goes.
Treated myself to some essential oils. . And learning how to use them.

Let me know if we move. I'm still around. Since returning home I'm hovering between 134-135. While traveling I stayed between 133-134. Would be happy to be at the lowest numbers needless to say. How is everyone? Kapulzie. Hope you fly thru p3

Rose ! I can't believe the weekend I had. We went out for Italian food Saturday night. I was really nervous. I stuck with seafood salad and a horseradish cream veal dish.
Then Sunday, we went out for BBQ ribs and I had 2 drinks. .lemonade moonshine. .
No movement on the scale both mornings after. Now I'm back to clean eating.

Having an AWESOME day. First, I had a great weekend with no weight gain and now today, my son got an acceptance letter for our #1 choice of schools-- so excited, I can hardly contain myself.
Over the weekend, I also tested chia seeds, collegan, bananas, horseradish cream sauce and cappuccino. All good, as I didn't have any gains.
Catmom-- I hope your studying is going well and I'm sending you good vibes for your upcoming test!

Good job maintaining, ladies. Kapluzie, I'm so glad your P3/P4 testing is going well. It's so nice to have options... And congrats about your smart son! What an honor.

I'm not budging but sticking between 161-163. I'm blaming my pre-menopausal body. I'm waiting for TOM and am craving chocolate like you wouldn't believe. I must've made cocoa crack 5 times in the last week. Today I bought an expensive sugar-free 70% cocoa candy bar sweetened with stevia and maltitol. I've got to drink more water, too.

I got rid of my FitBit. Did I tell you all I bought one? I tried it but didn't like it's accuracy. My old stepper gives a much higher number of steps each day, which motivates me.

My family travels to Michigan this weekend, which will make eating more of a challenge because we stay at my husband's sister's house. She eats cereal for breakfast. Do you think it would be rude to ask for eggs? Rose, what did you eat for breakfast on the road? I always picture you with your peanut butter...
