I'm not budging but sticking between 161-163. I'm blaming my pre-menopausal body. I'm waiting for TOM and am craving chocolate like you wouldn't believe. I must've made cocoa crack 5 times in the last week. Today I bought an expensive sugar-free 70% cocoa candy bar sweetened with stevia and maltitol. I've got to drink more water, too.

I got rid of my FitBit. Did I tell you all I bought one? I tried it but didn't like it's accuracy. My old stepper gives a much higher number of steps each day, which motivates me.

My family travels to Michigan this weekend, which will make eating more of a challenge because we stay at my husband's sister's house. She eats cereal for breakfast. Do you think it would be rude to ask for eggs? Rose, what did you eat for breakfast on the road? I always picture you with your peanut butter...
Abs- I use an app on my phone to keep track of my steps. I find it to be accurate, however I do have to carry my phone with me (which I do anyway).
As far as asking for eggs for breakfast- maybe you could contact her ahead of time and suggest that you make a breakfast (eggs)..
I wouldn't mind if a house guest requested a certain meal. . As a host- I would be interested in making my guests comfortable. But we are not all the same.
My p3 is flying by. Tuesday will be first day of p4.
    All is good here.

    Hey ladies,
Maintaining here... been keeping busy.. my new adventure includes learning about essential oils.. I always try to find a "natural" way if possible. My middle son is riddles with horrible allergies. I'd like to say that they are seasonal ( which they are), but he is congested 24/7 --365 days a year. I am using a homemade blend of my new oils in a diffuser-- and he told me that for the first time he can breathe out of both sides of his nose... woo hoo for natural.. Now that spring allergy season is almost upon us- this will be a good test for the oils. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I hope everyone is doing well.
As for me, I have been trying new foods and smoothies.. doing well with minor up/downs-- but mostly the same by the end of the week. It's all good.

Great job kapluzie. It is nice when you can try new things, and everything works itself out within a few days. Congrats on your son's acceptance to school.

Abs... how did your weekend go at your sister-in-laws. I usually try to make things my guest will like as well and always open to options.

I am doing not too bad. I was 5lbs over my LIW the other day, and haven't weighed for a few days. I made 'The Shrinker' yesterday and today. A change from the 'Good girl moonshine' . I am really liking it and will see if I have any changes tomorrow, as I will weigh in then.
My friend had an early St. Patrick's day party last night. I didn't eat anything I shouldn't but did have a few coolers. So for now just really working on getting that 5lbs down, before it gets out of hand again.

Great job, Kapluzie, on maintaining! That's great in P3.
I'd be interested in hearing which essential oils you use, specifically, since I have a friend who suffers with the same kind as your son.
Jayk, I feel for you with those 5 lbs. I'm shocked that I can give up sugar for Lent and not automatically be back down to LDW as a result. At least I'm not going up, but I'm surprised I'm not back down yet. My TOM finally arrived, 2 months late, on Sunday. And I did cave last week and actually bought two candy bars on impulse and didn't even enjoy them, but that's how I knew my TOM was coming. Crazy. Literally.
Happy news: My girlfriend who was disappointed not to be losing more on HCG has lost 7 more pounds since P3 and P4 and is maintaining. Hallelujah! I was worried she'd regain or be sorry for the hefty investment, and she's pretty happy. She also went off her anti-depressants, which she found very difficult the first month. But now she's turned a corner. She is entering menopause and her crazy-making hormones are fading.

TTFN! Thanks for being my accountability partners.

Jays, I forgot to tell you about last weekend in Michigan visiting relatives. I caved thrice: at lunch Saturday I had fried chicken and potato fries and then snacked in the afternoon on cheesed-caramel corn + pasta lasagna for dinner Saturday night along with 2 glasses of wine + Sunday morning pancakes. However, I held strong on the road Friday and enjoyed a chopped salad from Subway with extra chicken and good flavor (herbs, vinegar, peppers, S&P) + a THM-friendly breakfast of 0% fat yogurt w/ fruit and stevia and muesli-like granola and black coffee on Saturday + for Sunday's lunch/dinner on the road we stopped at a Big Boy and I had the Tilapia and green beans.

Those high-carb meals cost me and I was up 3 lbs. when I weighed myself Monday. It took until Thursday to return to my prior weight.

I've got to get stronger about eating right. And preparing better. Rose is so good at that.

Rose, what kind of protein bar do you eat? I'm assuming you eat protein bars...

Yes I do eat protein bars every day Abs...The ones I eat are cheap, taste delicious and cause no digestive upsets. I eat the Pure Protein chocolate deluxe flavor only from Walmart. $7 for package of 6. Carry them with me and often eat them in between meals. Sounds good though that you got back to your prior weight in a few days. That sounds like your body is doing well. The pure protein bars have a tiny amount of sugar and smallest amount of sugar alcohol ive seen in bars so thats probably why they dont bother me.

The shrinker sipper drink is like a chai tea. They bill it as a cold drink that you sip all day, but I like to use the concentrate to make a hot version.

Its oolong tea, vanilla, cinnamon, cayenne, pink salt and a small amount of almond milk. I also add caramel extract to mine. The oolong tea is supposed to be a metabolism booster. I don't like the other sipper drinks, so I stick to this one.

I've found a protein bar I can eat too. It does have some natural sugar (coconut palm nectar), so its not on-plan for THM, but it seems to work for me. Its the Rise protein bars. They only have five ingredients and you can pronounce them all. Really good flavor and a soft texture that I enjoy. My faves are the sunflower cinnamon and the lemon cashew. Both of those use a pea protein base. I get them from Amazon for around $2 a bar total cost.

    Hey sdwis

It's just like Leez posted. I can send you the recipe. A couple of times I didn't have the unsweetened almond milk, so used the substitute of "Just Gelatin, Integral Collegen, MCT Oil and Sunflower Lecithin. It is really good.

Hey abs, that is great you were able to return to your prior weight after caving even if it took a few days.
I have to quit caving as well. I had Sweet & Salty popcorn, then one night Dill popcorn. I ate a burger and the bun on last Friday with a few fries. This week I need to crack down and eat clean. I always have vegetables and fruit around, so just have to quit buying those snacks so they don't tempt me.

I am still having the night sweats, plus been a bit depressed/worried with finances yet. I try to stay positive and focused, and am great while at work, but after work and weekends is harder for me.
Today is warmer out so going for a long walk later.Yesterday the wind was too cold and strong.

I tend to crave the wrong foods when im stressed about finances. I just feel hungry in general. I know it is ot true hunger but just a need to eat to relax. So i try not to buy the foods i know arent good for me. If i need a snack i will eat saled peanuts and while i might gain a little water weight i know it wont stick.

Jayk, I hope with the return of better weather your financial situation improves as well. And I feel for you about the night sweats. I've had those and they're a pain. I've had to change pajamas, I was so soaked through. We will figure out how to not cave. I think we are now. We are probably caving less and less and less. That's how it was for me and coffee. It took me years to realize I couldn't drink caffeinated coffee anymore without dire consequences when I went through withdrawal again and again (headaches, nausea, etc.). Now I avoid it like the plague. I don't know when the light bulb in my head finally went on, but I expect the same thing will happen with the high carb foods. The problem is, there's so many of them and not as many alternatives available always (like decaf or herbal tea).

I worked in my garden this afternoon and it felt so good and was such fun! I'm so glad to be able to work outside again.
