You don't need anything in addition to the HCG. Its just another way for those companies to make some money. The exception would be if you had tested low on B12.

Lipo shots are supposed to aid in fat burning. Some people like them. I've not ever tried them, but I'm suspicious of them. I don't recall any reports that they made a difference when compared with results done without them on the same person.
Morning all, I am back and happy to join the P4 thread. LuLu..........I did have the Lipo/B-12 injections with my 2nd round and this last round..which was #3. I didn't have them my first round. Honestly, I don't think they impacted my weight losses at all. Maybe they impacted my energy? I still couldn't say YES for sure. My clinic only charged $10 per shot so I figured tossing in 4 weeks of shots would be worth the chance. Looking back.....I wouldn't take the time to drive for the shots again. Just take a really good vitamin B complex for energy and..................LOL......follow the protocol!!!! IF.....there is a fat burning aid...........I never noticed it. I tend to agree with Leez........it makes for a good money making add on. Plus, your so close to your final weight......the additional round you do with easily get you there. Good for YOU.......planning for the next attack. I don't want to lose the control that I seem to have right now over what I'm eating. Thus......P4 thread.

Ok, after a series of postings this morning, and realization that I'm in P4.......I realized that I have NO clue what to do in P4........I never engaged in P4 after my previous 2 rounds. (wonder why I gained the weight back!!)? Anyway, I'm going to explore the info on P4 that is posted on this site so that I'll have something intelligent to contribute other than.......I"m in P4.....whoohoo.

Welcome to the group Lulu and KMac.....

Basically now you can add in starch in small quantity. Start with one item at a time, so you can keep better control and weigh in daily. It can be a slow process, but is necessary.

I myself do good for a month or two, then things go wrong for me. So still learning.

    Good luck and keep posting

Thanks for sharing your experience, KMac.
    Jayk, thanks for the tip.
I really don't know anything either except for what Jayk said, but I really don't want to add any sugar, that is for sure. As for starch, I don't want to add that either except for maybe sweet potato. I always gain weight when I eat starch, but that is the white refined type of starch. Is it necessary for stabilization to add these things?

Well for me, I have tried to use what the THM (Trim Healthy Mama Plan) use for carbs etc. Our you familiar with their plan.
    http://www.trimhealthymama.com/main-home/free-faqs/

I only use their sugar and products, and for bread the only one I use once in a while is Sprouted, or I have gotten away with Artisan Rye bread.

Leez is the one who has been doing their plan for some time now. THM (Trim Healthy Mama) for P4

But I know for me, I have to take things slow and see how I react with a food, before trying another new one. That is where I go wrong I think!!!

@lulu:L I moved the last bit of our conversation to the P4 Maintenance thread. I thought it would be helpful to the people going through P4 right now.

    Hi gang,

Reporting in that I spent a week away and had a 3 pound loss. *celebrates!* This seems to be a pattern for me, losing while on away trips. I really need to figure out what it is I'm doing differently when away that that creates the conditions for that to happen.

One thing may be using sweeteners. I don't use them when I travel. I just sweeten my yogurt with all-fruit jam, for instance. I wonder if that could be a key. Another may be that I'm not using any of the fiber flours, collagen, or MCT oil while away. I use half&half for whatever I want creamy and don't use nut milks. I always eat more sprouted bread when I'm away, because its an easy thing to take along.

I may try another similar week and see what happens. I especially like that I was able to eat out without a problem. I should make that part of my experiment too!

    Hi everybody,

Still hanging in there, not losing or gaining. Gave up sugar with the family for Lent, which we do every year. Of course, that's usual for me, but it's a challenge for my kids. My daughter's skin always clears up tremendously and these bumps on her forehead go away and she has smooth skin. I wish she could go off permanently.

I had a cold/flu a week and a half ago. Following that, I had leg pain like I used to get with PMS but worse. Then a few days later broke out in a rash on my lower legs. I went to a dermatologist because it was spreading and she took a biopsy (which I think was unnecessary). She also prescribed expensive steroids ($300 after insurance!) which I refused to take. The rash seems to have stopped spreading after a week. Funny that all of this happened when I'm eating healthy and not drinking alcohol.

Wouldn't you expect our immune systems to run optimally when we're eating right?

    Hi All

Good job Leez on your loss. Yes it would be great for you to figure what happens on a trip, that differs from home to lose weight. A couple more trips and you will have lost what you needed no?

Abs... I wonder if you just had a allergic reaction to something, hopefully. I haven't had real sugar in ages, so am okay with that so far. I know certain foods bring that out in my daughter as well or when she eats takeout too much.

Still in P2 right now, but I ordered the books grammy mentioned in another post by Lyn Genet. Going to read up on those.

Well i have been in hiding for a couple of months contrary to my own advice The results are not good. Last year in Florida i actually lostnweight. This year i started gerring creeping weight gains and just seemed to let the temptations over power me resUlting in 10 lb gain, i should have done correction day but im hypoglycemic and couldnt deal wih the thought.
After being at LIW almost two years im going to go for a short round of HCG to get the lbs off. Really wanted last round to be final. Culprits were diet soda, grapes, grains bananas and mixing fats and starches. I have a different mindset. Im getting blood work done next Tuesday since im going to AL for show right now and then start back on HCG so ill be in P3 when i am on the road longer . Last two days i have eliminated the starches and sweet fruits so hopefully when i go back to protocol it wont be so difficult.
Hate ruining my track record but im not giving up Guess im a poster girl for what not to do on P4

Welcome back rose. When you didn't post for a while, I wondered if you were having difficulties. I tend to talk less when I'm fighting the scale. But I try to consciously press on, because posting to others concerns helps me stay mentally on track myself.

I really believe diet sodas are evil. They trick your brain into expecting calories, and when it gets none, the hormones released have nothing to affect and it starts messing up our bodies.

In fact, I've been musing that any 0 calorie sweeteners (even added to actual food) might do something similar. I was off all sweeteners for a week while I was away and lost 3 pounds. I know the loss wasn't from undereating or extra activity, it just happened. I got a pound of it back this morning, but that makes sense because flying is dehydrating, and after a day at home my water levels got back to normal. I'm going to continue avoiding sweeteners for a while and see if that may have been what has been causing my creeping gains all along. If I need to sweeten something, I use some all-fruit jam.

Not giving up is a kind of victory. This is all such a process of mindset change. I so understand not wanting to do another round after the "final" one. That's where I am too. I've only been able to lose all the way back down to LIW once early on when I first did THE PLAN. I did pretty well after that until I sprained my ankle (a year and a half ago), and then the creep started. But I'm still trying. And at least for today, I'm feeling thinner.
