Since this is the July 4th group, I thought it was fitting to check in.

The round is going pretty well, VLCD 14 and I'm down over 9 pounds and back in a comfortable place.

I've lost 4 inches off my waist so far. No wonder I'm feeling more normal now.

Sorry about the overnight rise, Jayk. Unfortunately, I found I have to avoid salmon as well. I don't miss it as quite as much as eggs though.

Rose, I want to be at the beach! What a great setting for your show.

    Enjoy your holiday, everyone!

Leez, you are having such a great round. I know you have to feel terrific. I did even though my last round was up and down. I was still able to stabilize at 137.6 my LIW and drop a little in P4 My original goal was 135 but the way my round was going i changed it to 138. I recently changed the sticker to reflect my 135 original goal.
I didnt bring the scale to the beach because i weighed the day i left which was Thursday and knew i would weigh again today. Since it was very hot and i would be drinking lots of water wasnt sure what to expect. I did drink a few sugar free beverages which is not normal for me and ate some Kind bars which have 5g sugar but no sugar alcohols and no gmos
My weight was up only .8 which i was ok with it and actually the same weight as 7 days ago. My weight does have that 1-2 lb fluctuation at times so im tryinf to just go with the flow. In my head i do a rough estimate of how many calories which are between 1600-1800. I think the 1600 is better for my age (74) and weight but the days i go over i dont seem to have a problem. It is still early in P4 day 42'so keeping an eye on things. I do feel more comfortable weighng at keast every couple of days and recording it in my little 2x3" notebook

Sounds like you had a really successful trip staying stable. So much of it is a head game, isn't it? We can fluctuate 10 pounds either way and look the same to other people, but those changes can majorly mess with our minds and mood.

I'd love to only have 1-2 pound fluctuations. Mine tend to be a lot bigger, which makes maintenance really stressful sometimes. Maybe I'll get there someday.

So its about a week later, its VLCD20 and I'm down a total of about 10 pounds. Things have slowed down as I head into week 4.

I'm getting lazy about anything that looks like cooking. I pretty much just have cucumber or grape tomatoes dressed up with cilantro, and chicken or fish from the Forman grill. But its still tasting good, so that's a blessing. I have to come up with something for tonight, though, since I'm out of tomatos. Spinach maybe, since that's just a quick saute.

The last couple of weeks is the boring part. Where you wonder if it's worth continuing for a measly 1-2 pound loss a week. I could technically stop at the end of this week, but I'll probably try to stick it out for a full 30 dose round.

How did everybody make it through the holidays?

I wonder how Abs is doing and Kapluzie.. Haven't heard from them in ages.

How did everybody make it through the holidays?
I am lucky I can have eggs once in awhile. But your right, salmon I can do without.

I was about the same in the last bit of P2, I really slowed down, but I did continue on. And yes things seem boring because it slows down. But also because I felt better and had lost lbs previous, that seem to make it worth it. I just kept thinking P3 is soon here, and I can enjoy more foods

I am still struggling with the gain.. Went down, then back up. But perseverance and I will get there lol. Will see what tomorrow brings. Had a family reunion on DH side , at the lake on Saturday. So much food, but I only ate what I brought. Stuck to my guns. DH cousin makes mini donuts, and sells them.. Like carnival style. and cotton candy. They had corn on the cob. I avoid corn like the plague lol. Was so hot that day. Drank lots of water and still didn't lose at lot lol. I personally still think menopause has a lot to do with my issues and weight. But time will tell, whenever that settles down.

Had a wonderful weekend, just too short.

Your doing great Leez and I hope you can hang in there.

Yeah, that self-pep talk is important. Especially reminding yourself that slowdowns are expected and normal.

To me the most peaceful thing about P2 is that you know that the scale will only go down. I've never had significant gains in P2 , so I've come to really appreciate the freedom from that stress. For at least a few weeks in my life, I don't have to dread seeing a big jump on the scale in the morning.

Your weekend sounds great. But surely there should be a scale reward for all that self-control! (shakes fist at the unfairness of life)

I tried sending Kapulzie a PM but she didnt respond, however, i see she occasionally gets on the site. AFM! Just lurking in the background. One more week at home then out for shows for three weeks. Scale moving between 133.4 to 134.8 with today at 134.4 Comfortable that im staying close to goal and under LIW I just know i have to stay on top of it, I rarely eat grains but couldnt resist my Haitian bILs beans and rice with beef and spinach, Mmmmm It was good. Also ate some SF lemon cake for dessert. Sugar free but not carb free. I stayed in range,

JAyK ...you did great over the holidays with all those homemade donuts. Corn is something i dont eat either. You did well.
Leez, im so happy you are having a good round. I couldnt go 30 days... i ended at about 26 days and was thrilled to see P3 . Eating blueberries twice a day because they are in season and irresistible, My other go to snack besides sun dried tomatoes are raw green sugar snap peas. Got my husband eating them too. Very satisfying. Eat very little in the evening.

I think I'm going to approach P3 this time in a more relaxed way than my last few rounds, and just eat what and as much as appeals to me and see how that goes instead of trying to test a bunch of things. I already pretty much know what doesn't work for me, so I'll just avoid those things and assume everything else is ok.

I've spent so much of my life trying to control my eating, I'm having to work really hard not to resent the restriction of the P2 menu, even though I really don't mind it and can enjoy what I'm eating. P3 can't come soon enough, from that aspect. I didn't expect the mental battle that I'm fighting this time. Physically, P2 has been quite easy and comfortable. But at this point, its starting to seem endless. But, I shall press on regardless, because why would I mess up this precious opportunity for another reset? It would not be logical.

Thanks Rose, and actually it wasn't too hard lol. There were even dill pickle chips in front of me on the table. I just ate the veggies that were on the table instead.

I am glad so far, that when I do gain, that in a few days to a week, I can get my weight back down again. It gets frightening sometimes I am really trying to take things slow in P4 , and I just avoid what I know already didn't work for me. I have to weigh constantly though, or I know it would get out of hand for me.

The only time I don't weigh is if I wake up late. On those days, I really try to make sure and not try something new.

Your getting there Leez You have done well. You probably look and feel great.

Yes, definitely getting there, and enjoying feeling normal again. I have just a little over 3 more pounds to hit LIW. So that part is great. Hopefully I can lose that much in the next 10 days and be done.

Eternal vigilance. That seems to be our lot.

So just looking at my last post here nearly a whole week ago. I now have 2 pounds to LIW. That means I've only lost 1 pound during the entire past week. So. Slow. Tomorrow is my weigh-in for the official weekly loss. I don't think I have it in me to do this for two more weeks to get off 2 more measly pounds. Besides I would have to remix. I'm thinking this weekend is it for me. I hit my 30th injection on Thursday. I think I will try to go till Saturday if I have enough product. Maybe I'll at least get down one more.

Then...its on to maintenance! I have high hopes for success. I did great after my last round for over 6 months until I got derailed by an ankle sprain. So if I can avoid having a setback like that, it could happen for me.

How's it going with you, Rose and Jayk?
