Nice report, Rose. Hope your Chicago show goes well.
We just got in last night, so I will be catching up over the next few days. We got some beach time in in the few days we spent at the coast in San Diego. It was a relaxing and restorative trip. Came back at about the same weight I left, so I didn't get my usual travel weight loss effect this time. I stayed away from my problem foods, but mostly ate whatever I wanted when hungry, and didn't worry about separating fuels much of the time. I didn't bother with sweeteners or anything special and made the best choices I could from what was available. And wonderfully, it all worked out.
So here I am, just barely in my window still, but that weight seems to be holding.

Congrats to both of you.... Leez, that is wonderful news, even if you didn't get that travel loss this time. Still good to know you had a good time, and still be in your window.
Good luck on your shows Rose. Safe travels.
Nice to see you check in as well Kapluzie![]()
It's about a month after the start of my trip, and I'm still right around the top of my window, 138. So I guess that is where my body has decided to settle in. That is a lot better than 150, so I'm good with that for now.
EDIT: Come to think of it, 138 was my longest lasting setpoint (several years) I guess my body remembers. It kind of makes me wonder if I would ever be able to keep a weight lower than this without a fight.
I have been noticing a slight drop in appetite recently. I usually make up a plate of what I consider appropriate portions and eat it all. This week I've been noticing that I'm leaving some food uneaten. I think that may be a good thing. Either my satisfaction cues are kicking in quicker or I'm actually needing less. I've started a course of LDN (low dose naltrexone) to see if it helps my auto-immune and allergy issues and it may be part of what is going on. (Naltrexone is sometimes prescribed as a diet aid.) I was also hoping it would produce better sleep quality, but that hasn't happened yet. I'm not quite titrated up to the correct dose though. It will be another few weeks before I get there.

I think its great to hear you are maintaining. 138 is decent weight for your height probably. You probably dont have abnormal fat . I am still maintaining day 135 of P4 Gotta get thru nov and december right? i start baking in December. I will modify some recipes

I don't really bake much anymore. Baking is not very satisfying when you can't use eggs. Its more frustrating, because nothing ever comes out right. I've eaten a lot of substandard baked stuff from my experiments, since I hate to waste things. I don't want to be doing that any more. I will occasionally try some single-serve recipe with hope for something better, but less and less now.
I miss baking at the holidays. Some of my best memories are of christmas bake-fests with family and friends.
At 5'5", 138 is a pretty good weight for me. I still have some belly fat that jiggles more than I'd like, but on the whole I'm happy with how I look. Menopause changes your shape though, and I'm thicker in the abdomen area now than I was years ago at this weight. I do think that the reshaping after this last round has made some good changes. I'm moving farther away from just being a smaller pudgy version of my fat self to a normal looking one.
I'm thinking that I might do another short round later this fall and try one more time to lower that set point. If could lower it by even 5 pounds, I think that would be just about right. I've noticed that once I go over 140, I start to feel pudgy again. And 138 is just a little to close to that for comfort.

Hi all... Good to hear from you both
I don't really do any baking these days, but I am not much for desserts.
Well I still haven't gotten back to my comfort zone. I hit 145 even, and now I am back at 140-141... Still trying to get back down to at least 133-135
I was sick this past couple weeks, with a cold/flu.. I think I am almost getting over it.. Hopefully this weekend, as its our Thanksgiving weekend here , so will have a few days to rest up. I cancelled going away, just so I could rest.
I was thinking of doing another round, but might wait another week, to see if I do drop lower again. I am not comfortable being this weight. A little too much around the waist for me, makes me uncomfortable. I just feel fat lol, even though in the right clothes, I look okay.
So sick of menopause lol. I am jealous of the women who don't have any issues with it.![]()
Me too. My grandmother had a great menopause experience. She just went into it and had no symptoms of anything at all. It actually was a relief for her. And she grew a bust. All the flat chested grand-daughters were promised that hope at least. So I thought that was the way it would be for me when all the monthly ordeals stopped. Surprise! I found it's just a fresh new hell that no one warned us about. And in some ways, its even worse than what it replaced. I've had hot flashes and disrupted sleep for 8 years now. But I did grow a bust. Yippee. I'd take good sleep over that any day.
My 87 year old aunt says she is still waiting to grow a bust.

lol. My daughter would like the grow a bust part.
But seriously it is a hell of its own , I agree. My friend experienced not a thing. Just ended for her is all. I started the whole experience at age 11. And yes I am not sure I like the replacement
And nowadays, they make a birth control, where you don't even get the monthly thing. My daughter takes it. So she is happy about that at least. I don't even know how that works, or if it is even healthy.
Leez, I would love a thread dedicated to hcgers in peri-, menopause, and post - we could call it "Snowballs at the Beach"
