    Hi Kap! So happy to hear you are doing well. Also good news on your P4. I had bought the inj kit from NuImage before Leez showed me how to dilute pellets so not to waste them. So while i hope not to do another round i will do one if needed.

    So far so good for me after a rocky dosage start on P2. Today us D4 136.4 .8 under LIW.

    Checking in. I was hoping a recent trip would give me the couple pound drop I usually get from a week away, but it didn't happen this time. So I'm right on my red line at the moment. I really don't have it in me right now to do another round, but I'm thinking about it anyway before things get any worse.

    What I have been exploring is changing doctors. Through a friend, I found a clinic with functional medicine doctors on staff that honors our insurance carrier. That is a huge deal, and what has kept us from moving doctors to this point. They have a months long waiting list but I got on it. If all goes well, both DH could end up with new doctors. We both like the GPs we have now, but that doesn't mean they are doing anything that is helping us with our health goals.

    Keep up the good work, Rose and Kapluzie. You inspire the rest of us to greatness.

    Today is day 9 P4 136:8 A little below liw but still traveling so it is ok. Leez, my problem on P4 seems to popup after many good months and getting hungry and needing a “quick fix” of packaged goods. However even eating relatively clean i see small incremental increases when my caloric intake is higher, After a year or so i seem to need to get my habits focused with somewhat less food, I am thinking this is ongoing battle as i age. Muscle mass normally decreases with age and therefore i require less but i dont adjust. I am happy that i can eat lots more calories than i used to but for me there seems to be a certain level i need to stay under. That will be my ongoing chalkenge, I do think the occasional short rounds will be an option if needed

    I haven't really figured out my plan yet either. I may do another round come January. Wait until Thanksgiving and Christmas are done. It seems once I creep near that 140 I am doomed lol. I haven't been able to get back down yet to where I am comfortable with.

    I sometimes look for that quick fix as well, especially when I get super busy and lack time to prepare properly.

    Just thinking today that it is pretty cool that this thread has been active for 3 years now. We are hanger-inners if nothing else!

    Rose that is a good point about recognizing that as we age, we need less and less calories. Its a rather depressing truth. I'm resisting the steps you need to take to keep muscle mass. It just seems like so much work.


    I have been doing some Plan "friendly days" this week mixed up with some THM E days. I haven't gained more, but I'm feeling a little bloated today so decided to do a modified steak day to deal with that and also just to shake things up. I have found that I get about the same 2 pound loss whether I do a proper steak day or a hybrid steak day. (Hybrid day is a greek yogurt/berry breakfast and do the rest as normal.) I've also found that I can do a warm chia pudding with berries instead of the yogurt with also about the same result. It was chilly and rainy this morning, so I opted for the chia pudding. I put a chipotle pork butt roast in the crockpot for later.

    I'll let you know how it turns out. So far feeling good. Will be sipping on coffee in between, so I don't feel any kind of hardship on missing one meal. Actually, the hardest part is getting enough water in. I'm not a big water drinker once the weather turns cooler. I'll probably warm it up some to get it down easier.

    I did get the expected 2 pounds loss from the modified steak day, but one of them is back today. I will continue alternating THM and Plan days. Actually the two programs are failrly compatible meal construction wise. I seem to have settled in around 140 for the last month or so now. I'm inclined to just keep trying to get meal balances better and see if that will whittle me down some. As long as I don't start an upward climb--I just can't let that happen.

    He all?,,, yes i love this thread...though not real active i feel it is a place for those that move to P4... even if more than once. We are headed back to Texas after being on the road since end of August. Love my own bed. Weighed in at 138... up .8 over LIW but expect it will hover around 136-137 when i am home, Brutually hot the last three days and my junk treats are factors in a lb gain,

    Happy that we are all still keeping in touch. It is a motivator for me.
