Leeniewho - Just made 60 peanut butter cookies, a batch of aioli (garlicy-mayo), and a batch of vinaigrette, all with my mouth taped shut. Sweet hubby even kissed me! I think you're right about Thanksgiving. So scary.

Rissa1979 - Good luck starting the VLCD tomorrow! I'll bet you'll find it's almost a relief not to have to think about - and eat! - food. Remember to drink plenty of water.

Rosief1975 - thanks for the advice on taking a Thanksgiving break. I just heard it might be buffet rather than sit down. If that's the case I can totally fake it. My husband and I can both get food and sort of switch back and forth while we eat. No one will even notice!

I haven't felt sad yet, just hungry and I was freezing yesterday! It was weird, I couldn't get warm. Have a great day,you got this!
Thanks Leeniewho...it can be hard to remember that I've actually already come such a long way. Today I'm feeling much better and I wonder if the sad & anxious days have anything to do with the fact that the fat I am losing now has been there since I was a teenager... so perhaps it's so full of toxins that it's wreaking havoc on the system? Today after all my stress I was down 2.4 pounds... so that definitely helped pick me up.

For those of you who have a lot to lose, HCG really helped to change my relationship to food, because I did 3 rounds and they were long ones I got used to not eating, and my relationship to food changed, I no longer used it as a pick-me-up, or for entertainment, or as something to do. I simply started to eat for energy... it's "drug" effect somehow wore off, the pain being of overweight, lethargic and unable to wear nice clothes for my whole adult life simply wasn't worth anything that tasted good, it was a momentary "high" with long term pain. This is why I love HCG...nothing else worked in the past, I'm also a pear shape and evening out to more of an hourglass (which is a bit of a miracle), AND I can eat liberal amounts of food without gaining weight... bar sugar and carbs. Keep on keeping on.

Clarkcaroline, ok if it works anything is worth I shot! I think I may have to do that when pizza is around or biscotti! Thanksgiving is scary, I will be with my sister, her family my parents and more family. There will be a ton of us and I am the baker I do desserts, but there will be so much food. I don't want go off, because I want to try to strengthen my will power, (said with an evil laugh)! Keep up the good work!

    Hi guys!

Its been a while since I've done a round so I've forgotten a bit of it. I need to start as soon as possible. I will be doing a 23 day round + 3 non hcg days, and decided to go for this weekend (nov 15th). When making my plans, I forgot that Thanksgiving is coming up

Will it mess things up if I eat a bit of Turkey and stuffing? I dont have an option to delay the start of the diet since I have a deadline I need to keep to. I know that P3 is the most important time for reset, but will a bit of sugar from the stuffing cause the hypothalamus to not reset properly?

Thank you all for the help!

Cannes, I'm glad you are feeling better today! I can understand what you mean about the losing and having had it as a teenager, it's hard to break cycles even negative thinking. I'm the queen of that. When you get those feeling try to turn them around into a positive, like wow I am strong, determined and letting go of all that held me back.
Glad you had a loss! Keep up the great work!

Hi Everyone! My general question is what teas are allowed on the diet? I love tea and think have different flavors will help but I want to make sure I am not drinking I am supposed to...there are great tea stores like Argo Tea Cafe, Teavana, and David's tea that sell loose leaf non sweetened teas but do you think certain ingredients will cause me to break protocol? I was checking out HCG Chica's blog and she has quite a few teas she drinks on P2...any thoughts?!

How is everyone one doing today?
I hope we'll last night was better for me than last night I wasn't as hungry.
    I'm down 3lbs, woohoo
Today I'm head out to find sugar free mints and strawberries! I have been to 4 stores and there are no fresh strawberries, has anyone ever substituted raspberries for strawberries.
Hope you all have a good day!

    Man, we're a quiet group!

How's everyone doing? Today is VLCD 2 for me. Yesterday I didn't get any fruit so I ate an extra Melba toast. My son came home from school sick and I spent most of the afternoon & evening at Urgent Care and then the pharmacy. By the time I got home it was too late to go get fruit from the store. So today I loaded up! I spent $11 just on apples!! I didn't lose as much as I wanted to from VLCD 1, but hopefully I'll have a big loss tonight. Fingers crossed for a low number in the morning!

Out of curiosity because I don't have my logs from my previous rounds, how much weight do you normally lose the first 3 VLC days?

Rissa, I hope your son is feeling better! I bet tomorrow you will have a much greater loss.
I'm doing pretty good today, VLCD 4, hunger is no where near like the first
    2 days
I am braving it today though, I just put in the oven oatmeal raisin cookies for the fam. I am going to ask them just to keep them out of sight from me! I'm still trying to find strawberries here! No one has them. Do you know if you can substitute raspberries?
This is my first time so I don't know how much weight you should expect to drop the first 3 days, sorry.
    Good luck!
