    Good morning all!

Wanted to post before I get back to reading Grammy's book!

I am on VLCD 25 and was quite surprised to be down 1.6 yesterday at this later stage of the round. But was thrilled. Then just now I weighed and was up .4. Ugh!! This is the first time I've had any gain at all and only twice have I stayed the same. Most days have been losing. So, is this normal? I used some onionburger seasoning on my chicken yesterday and wonder if that could have caused gain?

Thanks for any input. Kinda freaked me out to see number go UP for first time!

    Y'all have a terrific Tuesday!

some of us experience these small gains every so often. we always look for a reason. it could have been the seasoning- especially if it had sodium in it. but our bodies will fluctuate throughout the process. the average female loss is .5 a day- are you at or above the average?

Snowed all day yesterday. Only a few inches accumulated. Today it is suppose to be up to 57* and it is raining. I'm hoping it washes away all the snow. The trees are budding, so spring is lurking.
The scale stayed the same today. That was expected. Last week I lost 4.2 lbs. Considering it was week 6- I was super surprised to see that number.
Kids are off of school again today.. what to do?!

    Good Morning!

bgr8: Regarding my walking: I was somewhat active before HCG. BUT what I do is very easy and fun. Good weather is not required! I also believe that every little bit counts! I housewalk and office walk. First, get a free phone app that counts steps and keep it with you (in a pocket) when you walk (that's what I have) or a pedometer or Fitbit. Then, walk around while you do your normal day. Walking in place counts too! I will walk while opening all my mail (500 steps) walk in place while flossing (250 steps), walk around the house while talking on the phone to my BFF (700 steps), or on hold, around the room during TV commercials/TV, folding laundry etc. If you house has stairs, even better. I have a friend whose office is next to the stair well, so she can discreetly walk the stairs for 5 minutes at a time a few times a day. I think breaking up the time boosts my metabolism, it's really no extra effort. My dad always paces while thinking, and he has always been skinny.... This is really painless exercise. Try it and let me know what you think!

AFM: No weight loss today!!I usually have an early dinner, but last night I ate dinner really late for me. I ate my apple at 9 PM. I have been completely POP. I have had plateaus in the past....but I will just slog forward!!!

    Have a wonderful day everyone!

    Kap,
yes, i'm definitely ahead of the average so very happy! Maybe I just got spoiled without seeing a fluctuation in the wrong direction! Regarding salt, I thought our seasonings could have salt but just not sugar? Is there anything else in ingredient list I should be watching for?

    Thank you!

Salt is fine for some. Others retain water. It's all in an individual basis. You're doing great.
The losses have a tendency to even themselves out throughout the journey. .
And if you're not losing in the scale, chances are your losing inches.
    Keep up the good work

I feel remarkably well. Usually the first week is just grueling mentally as I mourn all the things I can't have for the next few weeks, but I'm not even unhappy at all. LOL

    Hey everyone,

I really need the help of Grammy and anyone who is not new to Hcg like I am.

I've been doing good. Really good. Day 25 today. I've not gone off protocol one single time. Up until today. Ugh. I've been sooooo hungry today that I succumbed to one extra melba toast. I am so upset with myself!

Does the hcg begin to lose potency or effectiveness later in the round? Today I haven't felt near as much help with hunger and I feel really irritable like I did the first few days of the VLCD when I guess it hadn't totally kicked in yet.

Will one extra melba mess me up? I have taken this very seriously and up until today it's been quite easy for the most part. Just the first two days were tough. What could it be? I'm taking topical cream.

Thank you for any encouragement or enlightenment you can provide. I need it!
