LOL! That post made my day! Before I scrolled down to your correction I thought you were serious. I was like, wow, she is serious about her vitamins y'all! LOL!

Hilariousness aside though, do the Flinstones have sugar/carbs/fat in them? I might be concerned about all the extra ingredients to make them tasty while in P2... Also, since they are designed for children, they might not have the correct doses for an adults body, especially a woman's adult body.

I absolutely agree with you though that taking a multi and extra magnesium and potassium is important.

Also, today is my first day in VLCD! Very excited, and glad not to be loading anymore. I really dislike stuffing myself, though I did it "smarter" than last time, I still ate more than felt comfortable without realizing it till it set in and then I almost felt ill. Super looking forward to seeing the numbers drop this week!

So I have a question and I feel horrible about wanting to do this.

However I feel like at this point even tho I've lost about 10 lbs in 3 days I wanna stop. There are so many events coming up. I mean I could complete the 23 days and the even I have coming 2 weeks after that will b in phase 3 but I just feel that I'm missing food too much I miss the carbs and sugars. I was thinking to start tomorrow without drops for my 3 days of VLCD and the. Try and add things back in. But also afraid of a gain of the ten lbs back

I'm ok with 5 lbs back but that's it.

I know I should stick it out but I rather stop now before getting to far in and the. Restart in the fall when there are less events.

I have also lost 80 lbs on weight watchers prior to this so I kinda just want to go back to that and enjoy food
    Post diet weight: between 173-175
    Load day 1: 178
    Load day 2: 180.8
    Started VLCD July 14,2012

down a total of 9lbs in 7 days. was hoping for a nice round 10lbs for my week but i'll take 9. i am slowing down and doing everything right. even on other diets this is the weight i plateau. my body likes this weight but i dont! so i am going to push thru. this isnt over yet. i did lose a total of 5 inches from waist and hips. which is what i am pushing for. the menopause middle has not been my friend. i really hope this diet helps to reset all that went wacky after the hysterectomy.

i did feel extremely dizzy and faint yesterday which is a new thing and a bit today, i'm used to feeling great. maybe i need to ask grammy about it or anyone else have a clue?

good luck ladies week 2 here we go!

    VLCD1: 194
    VLCD7: 185
I think there is so much hype around this diet that we have to be careful to sort out the false expectations. I am losing great I know BUT I keep hoping for more and I am trying not to obsess over it. Congrats on the 9lb loss!!! I start week 2 tomorrow (well from P1, I didn't start P2 until Thursday)

Not sure if this is helpful but I get that way if I have had too much coffee. I didn't realize what it was until today. 1 cup and I am good, 2 cups and I feel that way...must be the caffeine. Hope you are feeling better! It is a scary feeling though

So far in 3 days in down almost 10 lbs. my goal is 150-160.

I hear that ppl gain half the weight back. 20 more days to go. I hope I can finish it.

Has anyone heard of doing it less then 23 days if they are at their goal weight and then switch to phase 3?
Everything I have read on the forum stresses that you must do the 23 days. I think the thing we need to remember is that it isn't a diet like we are used to...it's kind of like a rehab. You have to hang in there even after you think you are better so that it sticks. I approached it like a conventional diet the first time and I gained everything back and more. This time I am doing protocol as much as humanly possible and focusing on my emotional triggers so that I never have to battle this again. Are you hungry or just tired? My dose was off and I was starving in the beginning but now I feel great!! Not tired, and not hungry.

Yes you can stop. You can do whatever you want But this isn't like weight watchers. I mentioned above that I looked at this the same way you are the first time I tried it and I gained everything back. I really believe this works (the first round I blamed the HCG but the homeopathic didn't work for me and I didn't follow protocol totally. I still wanted my diet coke etc. etc. I still wanted to drug myself with food) but you have to have the right mindset. I am finally at a place where I am okay with not having sugar but it took a long time to get there. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I'm definately back and forth on my decision I keep counting the days an say ok the 31st isn't that far away get thru this week and only a week and a bit to go and then stabilizing

It's just hard. I miss things like salad dressing and dips. I'm a dipper for my chicken veggies etc. I've tried to make some but non are satisfying. Maybe if I switch my proteins around been doing chicken and shrimp maybe I'll ad some. Wall in or something or beef

I feel like I can get they this part but another 3 weeks of no carbs sugar after this I might die lol. I know that I wouldn't but that's how I feel!

I admire all of your dedication!!!

We shall see what tomorrow brings

Are you doing okay with hunger, it's just cravings? It took me a while to get here. In fact it was October of last year when I was right where you are. I cut out all refined sugar from my diet a couple of months ago but it was affecting my mood and the cravings went away but I was still using food to stuff emotions ;( I am hoping that HCG will help control the appetite monster so I can focus on healing my relationship with food. You are doing great btw! And really this is the hardest part. If you can power through the cravings they will calm down. Just can't feed 'em!

I'm I'm with hunger like I'm not feeling famished. Just tired weak etc

It's more things like the dips and sauces and lack of imagination for food

I love potatoes and things like that and milk. I miss milk.

Again I think I'll see how this week goes and then make a final decision it all depends on how I feel and how my body feels.

You should talk to Grammy. You may gain 10+ back....but if you can't stick with it then it's good to stop now. I will tell you it does get easier every day!

I'm sure I could stick to it. It's just I miss the flexibility and options of food. Before I could be good all week and enjoy something on the weekend like a dinner out or a treat on this it's like nothing for 6 weeks. It's not a long time it's just frustrating

I'm still back an forth. One minute I'm for it the next minute I'm just ready to quit before getting too far in

Go to sparkrecipes.com. And search HCG p2. There are a ton of recipes. Look through my posts I have listed a few good ones. You have to create your variety. It is there and worth it. No other diet will give you these results!

I miss milk and butter, and certain starches like potatoes too. I try to just take it one day at a time.
I think for the most part the 500 cal limit hits me the most.
I can work with just eating certain veggies, fruits and proteins if I can eat them all I want, you know? then I would be less tempted to eat the "no-no's".
I think it mostly just takes getting used to, for your body to truly adjust to a big change. This just the first week. After a bit it gets easier (or so I'm told).
AND I keep thinking about my goal.... that's the biggest thing.
