Hi all!!! I have been MIA, sorry. My girly time started, and my head went right into the clouds. I went up .8 lbs, which sucks, but came back down a couple of days later. I have been having a enormous craving for sweets (I didn't indulge, though), and a "need" for more protein (I think it's all in my head).

My girly time has gone screwy, lasting longer than normal, including a heavier flow here at what should be the end of my time. Add to that I just started using a "Diva" cup (a reusable menstruation cup) which is another mental thing for me (I hate leaks). Hubby is also working 16 hour days (most of it driving), and that is throwing off our family schedule. Arg, *****, *****, *****... OK, I am done.

Time to get back to work. I am hoping for a 10 lb loss by the end of March, which will show me One-derland by the second week of April, then everything I lose will be gravy.

Cpow, do let us know what the scan says. I am praying for completely gone!!!

Nekko: My hubby was stationed at Pearl Harbor in the 90's, and from his stories, I so want to go to Hawaii! And Canada too!?, lucky, lucky! Since I have lost so much weight, I have been bit by the travel bug and want to see everything, including but not limited to the world's biggest ball of string, no matter where it is! LOL.

OK, we must remember (OK, I must remember...) eyes on the prize!!! Keep on, keeping on.

Good morrow all. Yesterday I did an apple day and was paid off with 1 whole pound gone. It's better than nothing, but I was hoping for more. What I am hoping is that this restarts my losses. On Saturday, I am going to take some measurements, if I haven't loss the pounds, maybe I am losing the inches, both are A-OK in my book. My last measurements showed a 10.5" shrink, but again, it's all at the top of my body, and not that horrid belly fat, but maybe Saturday will show losses there! Chin up!

Thanks worthit! This is a long battle, but we can win the war!

Today I am down another pound, yea! I think my old bottle of drops lost it's effectiveness. Even though I have a couple of ounces left, I switched to a new bottle, and it's WORKING!!!! I still have 7 lbs. to my first goal, but it looks like I might make it!

I hope everyone is going to have a great weekend. Let's keep on keeping on!

(edited to add) I did my measurements today, and although I have lost around 16 lbs, I have also lost 19.5" overall!!! Wow! Always remember, it's called Pounds and Inches for a reason.

    Later all!

    Hey everyone!

Posting from my brother's place in Tennessee. Just wanted to saya quick hi to you all. We have been so busy sight seeing and visiting that I haven't had much time to even check in. We'll be back on the road again in a few days.

Hope everyone is doing well. I've been eating pretty well for being on the road. Looking forward to starting my next round when I get home. I'll try to check in before then!

Rhiann-glad to hear you are having a good time. I am looking forward to you joining me in P2 in April, enjoy the rest of your trip.

AFM: After missing dinner last night (not recommended), I am down 1.8 lbs. this morning. We bought a new gas grill, and spent the evening putting it together. Tonight we'll be having bbq'd steak!!!! Yummy.

This loss will help me make my goal. I have just over 5 more pounds to go.

I've been MIA cuz I just don't have anything to add... I have not been good diet-wise at all. I really need to get on-track. I've just been doing radiation and about nothin' else. My knee is still painful, which causes me to just sit to keep the pain at bay. The original pain is mostly gone, but apparently the doctor who did the steroid injection did it in the wrong spot, which is causing this new pain. It feels like this medical revolving door will never end. Yes, I'm having a pity party. It will be over soon.

Rusty you continue to wow me! Keep up the good work.

Rhian, happy traveling! What fun stuff are you seeing?

Iamworthit: I love your "handle" and yes you are!

Still hoping I can begin a new round in mid-April... but we'll see.

    Be will all.

One step at a time... One day at a time.

Cpow, I am praying for you! The best thing is that your are TOUGH! I have found that Dr.s don't know anymore than anyone else, just specialized knowledge, but they don't live in our skins, so a "medical opinion" is just an opinion. My FIL is going through a similar thing, but he doesn't have much of a backbone, so he won't stand up for himself and just goes along with what they say 'cause "they're the experts", I say piss on that. It's his medical appointments that instigated my fender bender (when my FIL opened the car door). Hang tough.

Speaking of my damaged car, the body shop received the wrong replacement door, so now we are waiting on another to be shipped and then replaced. It looks like I will be driving the "hooptie" around for another week.

After a couple of stall days, I woke up to a .8 lb. loss, yea!!! I may not get to my first goal by the 31st, I still have 5 lbs. to go, and only 5 days left. I am hoping the whoosh fairy pays me a visit.

Since you abandoned us big girls, Ill just start hanging out here, too. Rusty - we started together... I was "sweetiepie" back then. Lost 90 pounds, gained +30lbs back... this winter was all carbs. Me bad.

Back to get those pounds off again... dang it. 21 pounds down, 20 to go... or something like that. And then onwards - final goal would be 165 pounds. Loooooong way to go, but just getting my head into paleo again should help.

    Hope you are doing well!

This is my current motivational mood board... that is where I am coming from, and the lowest I have ever been.... that is where I need to go again. 20 pounds to go to be at my lowest ever again.

Hey Cowgirl, I have been keeping tabs around the forum, I just didn't have a good opening to jump into some of the threads. How's that sous vide working out? I have been thinking about investing in one, but I have so many kitchen machines!!! We are doing well keeping pace with each other on our losses, today I just reached the 21 lbs. lost after the whoosh fairy showed up last night, giving me a 1.8 loss. I have 4 more days to lose this last 3 lbs. to meet my goal of ldw of 204, then head into 'one'derland.

According to the weight tracker app on my phone, at this rate I will reach 180 by mid-May, then everything else will be some of those vanity pounds until I run out of hCG.

Here's what I do know: Paleo works best for me. I need to increase my veggies. Pork products make me gain. I may keep avoiding eggs in the future. I am contemplating doing another leptin reset, as it really worked (until I got lazy and loosey goosey).

As always, eye's on the prize and keep on keeping on!

    Glad you are on target!

The sous vide... has its ups and downs. Well, one idea was to be able to make more food, then freeze it - but then I am too lazy to thaw and prepare. So - sous vide straight to the table for me. But it sucks on P2, when you aren't allowed to sear it! I will leave it for now, and wait for P3, when I am able to finish that delicious meat in an iron skillet with loads of fat.

This week is me being the laziest cook, so... actually ordered food two days in a row. Still all acceptable choices, in a not-on-protocol way... and I just don't want to cook. Think I will order that salad again tonight, and aim to cook again tomorrow. Preparing those tiny portions without any real cooking is just no fun. 17 days of VLCD, and I am boooooored. What else is new.

I am at 235 pounds today, which is better than the 256 I had 2-3 weeks ago. But... that stomach is bugging me big time. Hoping to lose that a bit the next 2-4 weeks on HCG. And yes, definitely paleo again afterwards! Luckily, I still lose on P3, and I never do P4.... well, obviously I had a carb-fest for weeks and weeks on end, since I gained back so much weight... but that was weakness, not plan.

I don't eat pork, but eggs straight up (scrambled, cooked) make me gain. I was aiming for a Whole30, till I remembered that that means no cheese - and I am dying to add cheese to my casseroles in P3. I am usually fine with milk products... so I am not going to rock that boat.

Cpow: You certainly have been through the wringer. I'm sorry to hear about your knee and that they screwed up the cortisone shot. I hope that the pain has abated some by now. How much longer do you have on radiation?

Rhiannon: How did the long car trip go? Are you back home now? Sounds like you had a great time visiting and sight-seeing.

Rusty: How do you like your new grill? We bought our first gas grill last year. I thought we would use it more since we don't have to deal with charcoal, etc, but it doesn't seem that we do. It's probably because DH does the grilling. I should get used to using it and grill more often.

Cowgirl: Nice to meet you! I've been lurking on the Big Girl's thread but never participated. I watch a lot of cooking shows, so I was interested in how well you would like your sous vide. I can see why you would want to sear off meat cooked that way. Have you used it for veggie dishes?

AFM: I have been MIA as well. I've been extremely busy/stressed at work lately. I am looking forward to my vacation next month, but it also puts a lot of stress on me now. I have a lot of things to do at work before I go. I'll probably have to work some this weekend.

I've been doing the Fast Metabolism Diet for P4. I'm fairly happy with the results. I think that with the stress I've been under, any weight loss is thrilling. It's strange that my weight always seems to spike up a bit on my official recording day (Monday). I'm on track for a good loss this week. Tomorrow is the end of the 28 days. I am still on the fence on whether or not to do an additional week. I'm leaning towards doing one more week. Cruising the weekend after that.
