Hi all... this week is manic, especially with losing all day yesterday....

    Paula, I feel your pain!!....

For no apparent reason I am UP.6kgs.... so I am back to where I was on Monday morning after the PI and I did have a clean day.... maybe too much sodium in the canned shrimp? that or maybe not enough water or simply not enough calories? or the fact that I mixed Celery and tomato?.... Have always been mixing Tomato and lettuce with no problems??....

I have decided I am going to be as good as gold until my last injection day and it will be what it will be.... I have enough that I am stressing about now, to still stress about weight.... butt..... I so so dearly wanted to end this year on goal!! or simply stress?

But all is not over till the SKINNY lady (inside the fat lady) sings ...and there are another 7 injections ad 3 days left to reach that goal.... it is not impossible!!

Hoping for better results for all of you in the morning... will catch you soon...
    ~AKA Yvonne SA~

    Paula... Just a thought

You mentioned your hunger, but it has staooped right?

I just went through P&I again this morning and read this.... I still don't have hunger so I guess I do have abnormal fats left!

As soon as such patients have lost all their abnormal superfluous fat, they at once begin to feel ravenously hungry in spite of continued injections. This is because HCG only puts abnormal fat into circulation and cannot, in the doses used, liberate normal fat deposits; indeed, it seems to prevent their consumption. As soon as their statistically normal weight is reached, these patients are put on 800-1000 Calories for the rest of the treatment.

Flo, I'm sorry you had such a crappy day and that pure up. You oils be reacting to canned shrimp. Was there anything in the cn besides shrimp? Preservatives?

Flo, you've never been clear about your owl so I don't know if you're close or far from it.

Paula, I always think its best to listen to our bodies.

    140.6 this morning on P3 Day 5

Woke up with swollen hands and coated tongue. The new foods were an ounce of goat cheese and Newman's dressing on my salad last night. Simple salad if romaine, red cabbage, cucumber, goat cheese and dressing. Bummed this morning. Love me a salad with goat cheese. While my coffee was dripping this morning I was picking the cheese off my prepped lunch salad.

Dentist appointment at 2 so I get to leave work early. Should be a lovely walk downtown, then home. Probably 4-5 miles. Supposed to be in the 60's so will be lovely.

Busy day for me as well.

Always been very clear about my goal...65kgs /143lbs....

Struggling!!, I get down to 148... and then jump right back to 153...or there abouts
I have decided to just do what I can these last few days and then give myself a proper 6 week break before restarting mid January....

Sorry about the goats cheese.... bummer!! perhaps try a different brand maybe? I know all cheeses except for cottage cheese does not work well for me.... only thing that seems to be worse is nuts..... but I am preparing myself mentally to have a good P3 round... I spoke to my friend who I will be visiting the first weekend of P3 and she was going to make spaghetti and I said...whooo Stop the bus!... no carbs!... so we are planning spare ribs on the BBQ with salad.... I know the weekend will not be 100% clear, but I will try my damdest to at least stay away from carbs and sugars....

have a super day girl...enjoy that walk... how long does it take you to walk 5 miles... its a fair distance.... don't you drive at all? or do you just do the walking for exercise?

I wish I had that time. ...I just always end up chasing my own tail!....
For a moment i though a mile was 1.6 km.... But it is in fact .6 of a km = 1 mile.... So 5 km = 3 miles..... The fun walk on Friday with 1000s of other people to navigate through took me an hour...... So your time is not too bad, it's an average walk... Not too slow pokey.... :-)

So far I have had a really good day....went to the pharmacy yesterday just to get something to curb the anxiety..... So today was more under control and a lot got done......

    Have a great day all!

Hi kidz! well except for Lee LOL ... hmm I am still a kid so I count you too!!
Quick check in ... still at 184 so 2 lbs up from the 2 I lost on my one week P2, but seems I am super comfy at this weight. I cant seem to shake it.
Read with some interest the discussion on pumpkin ... I dont know where I got the idea it was ok. Was eating 1/4 c every 2 days in my coconut flour pancakes. And wondering why I gained weight, LOL. After I did steak day and egg fast back down, easy peasy. One more day of egg fast so I can go into my big carb feast tomorrow with lots of wiggle room!!
    bad things with carbs.jpg

What are you all doing for Thanksgiving? I for one am grateful I was born white in America.

Flo was wondering if your tracker/sig is up to date? I keep reading about these huge daily losses but wondering where that lands you re: your goal. I read you are bouncing up and down. Have you been measuring?
Paula I here ya - taking this long break was good for my head. Then again I seem to have my eating under control and never really cheat. Thank god for low carb.
Lee I love the testing you do and reminder that each round is different. Ditto Jen. Kansas thanks for bringing all your experience to the party, gosh I learn so much every day.
Trying to decide if I am ready to start another round... am tempted to keep going on the egg fast as it seems to work really well for me, but nothing seems to beat hcg for the inches thing.

Tomorrow I drive 2 hrs x 2 to go to my home town and then sit 4 hrs, mixed with stand and cook. Hip is iffy. Appt with new pain management guy Friday to talk about nerve block and maybe SI joint fusion if he agrees it is hypermobile. Meanwhile, keeping up strength training exercises for my butt muscles. Pain was aggravated a good deal by trying yoga so that is a no good. Oh well, patience is a virtue for a reason

    Hi all!

No weigh in for me today. I barely ate anything yesterday (had no appetite). Ended up with my eggs at lunch, then a cup of cottage cheese with 4 peach slices (no syrup/sugar added), and mixed a can of tuna with mayo and ate that with a slice of cheese. That was it...and I was full for the day.

Drank my water this morning (I was SO THIRSTY) and forgot I hadn't weighed before I did. Oh well..all good. I'll check tomorrow! I don't think that I gained 5lbs yesterday to be in any danger today, lol.

MissRed, I'm cooking for Thanksgiving. All kinds of stuff. Started on things yesterday.

Made pecan pie yesterday and boiled eggs and potatoes to be ready for mixing up side dishes. Made potato salad today and cooked cornbread for the dressing, making another cake and another pie today as well.

The turkey is thawed but won't go into the oven until early tomorrow morning. We are having dinner at 6 so it will have plenty of time to cook (slowly) and rest before dinner time.

Flo, hang in there...you can accomplish a lot with the time you have left if you stick close to protocol!

    Jen

    Firstly.....

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Even though we don't celebrate thanksgiving in South Africa, we have a similar day on December 16th, called the day of the Covenant, but with the new government all of these historic days are now celebrated under a different name..... but all in al, I like the idea of thanksgiving, I like to recognise my blessings and be grateful every day.... we never know if that is the last interaction or view that person has of you.... and most of all, we never know if that person has less to be thankful for than we have, even if ours is small.... So I say Thanks to all of you for the friendship and support since I started out on this journey ... you were all instrumental in my success... you often put a smile on my face, and on days the scale hated me... sometimes it hated some of you more....or less.... But in short...THANK YOU!

Lee... your area sounds delightful, unfortunately if we want walks like that, we need to get in the car and drive out of town to a secure venue to do that... everyday life in the city does not allow for much walking for security reasons... I do have one little track that is safe enough to take the pooch out for a quick 30min walk... I guess that is one of the reasons Fun walks are so popular here

Jen... happy cooking! sounds like you have it all under control.... I do understand how you guys do Turkey for Thanksgiving, but I have always wondered how Turkey became the main meat dish in Old British Colonial countries....? We are big on Turkey and ham at Christmas..... but in recent years Turkey has become more available throughout the year in the form of Turkey Drumsticks mainly.....

Red.... I hope you make that treacherous drive and standing and and and... sounds so painful! but at least treatment is on the cards, right?....take care of yourself.... and enjoy the break

Paula... Are you in Dallas for Thanksgiving or visiting Jimmies parents?.... what are your plans girl?

Toodles... loads to do today, also organising tomorrows Staff lunch for a client and still need to finalise the gifts and table decorations....

    don't eat too much ladies!!

ps... no movement on scale this morning.....

As you all know, I am googling up a storm to find P3 friendly stuff.... I have done P3 before but having cycled for most of the year I stuck to very basic P3 foods....

I stumbled upon the Mug Cake recipe and I can say for sure that I have found a winner!!

It only contains egg, cocoa powder and stevia.... so I thought ,although the cocoa is not P2 POP, .... I would try it for lunch....

It taste like cake... a bit dry,(maybe I will try it with less time in the microwave... but in P3 you can top it with a blob of cream as desert

Also going to make the Paleo sandwich loaf to take along next weekend, I found a recipe that only uses Almond flour, and none of the others....

I guess before, I was always still in HCG mode and This whole P3 thing is opening a brand new world for me....

Anyone of you ever tried Oopsie breads?.... I like it with Parmesan cheese sprinkled over

I think in previous P3s I probably concentrated too much on fats and proteins rather than balancing it out with veggies and other stuff....
