Yup, 5'4". I'm on homeopathic drops and hope to do 40+ days, then the 6 week P3/4 to restart just after Easter and hopefully get to 135 (or lower). I'm sure it's a bit unrealistic lol, but I'm going to believe it will happen how I want until I see otherwise.

I'm in 2 minds about this. First, they are not all natural so no, they are not OK. BUT the very limited allowed foods on P2 get VERY stagnant and quickly so once or twice a week is a refreshing change to a very boring diet.
Lily, if you haven't tried the Walden Farms dressings, be warned...they are YUCKY. I haven't tried a good one yet, I ended up throwing them in the trash. 0 calories, 0 carbs, 0 sugars, 0 TASTE!

Tmooon, according to the P&I protocol, any foods can be omitted. While many feel that eating all 500 calories is essential, I have RARELY eaten all my calories in a day. I had good losses in R1 (32 lbs) and stabilized during P3/4 with no problems. Started this round almost exactly at my LDW. Just my experience, mind you, but hope it helps.

I will post an update to the BLC this evening, once all today's stats have trickled in.

I think I read that if you want to omit something, start with the fruit, then the veggies, then the protein.

California Welcome! Like the others say...stick to protocol & it works. Average losses are .5-1 pound a day so anything on top of that is gravy. If you dont have much to lose it may be more difficult. Dont cheat...thats the best tip lol.

    Gwenna
-Sorry the lil one is not feeling well. Congrats on the loss!!

Diane-Good loss, love the positive attitude!
    sunshine-Let the losing begin!

Minerva-People may lose better depending on their body. I find myself that I generally lose well with beef but do have to switch it up here and there. I would just make sure its lean ground beef that you are having.

Calythia-You're rocking it. Please keep us posted on DH...

Fatty-Woop woop --lose that Fat! You're right we are all crack heads lol...hmm CCC-yeah I have to wait til P3.

SM-Its nice that your boyfriend was well enough to put them away. A support system at home is great. DH is doing this round with me but well he doesnt stick to protocol quite so well lol. I found a lot of my cravings are more mental cravings. Its good that you recognize you need to stop and think before acting...ah if only it were that easy. You can do it!

Alchi-totally agree about the water. I think it is one of the most important things to this diet. Weekends when I dont drink enough=lower losses...every time! You crack me up. I remember those days of way to big of clothes...and a stranger telling me I looked like someone who had lost a lot of weight-I went to get a new pair of pants that day lol.

Island Girl I too have to use mini-goals. Great losses, fat be gone!

Christoph I only weigh myself first thing in the morning...At the Dr when I weigh it can depend on my water intake, clothing, etc. So I dont think thats really reliable. Whats wrong that you need to feel better?

    Nilly-WOO HOO Great loss!

Muffin Top-Welcome....great losses...keep coming to us for support, this is a great group!

HCGDEE Girl dont give up. We are here. Its hard when life happens but well...life happens. Continue on with protocol & it all works on. W2 is a tricky week. Are you sticking to protocol foods?

Ababy yay! Glad you've broken into a new zone!

Pleep Glad to hear the muscle isnt changing. Water retention and sore muscles, ugh. You still had a loss....yay!

Jliven Glad that its coming!! Woop woop! Nice losses. I agree with the losing the final days...stay focused during those days.

    unaleo Yay! New loss territory!

Becs Setting small goals is sometimes the best way to get to where we want to be!

    Lanna HAPPY DANCE!! Congrats!!

Skiles Its so frustrating when you're that close you just are like cmon...you will get there in no time.

Lily Thats great losses & welcome to onederland-Great feeling! I too had hypothyroidsm for the longest time...then last time I went to the doctor it was hyper-not sure if attributed to HCG or what but Im continuing on in hopes that its not...Waldenfarms-I personally tried it didnt affect my losses BUT really all it is is chemical chemical chemical & it wasnt even good. Ive never tried miracle noodles.

Oh and DONT CHEAT AGAIN!! YOU ARE WORTH IT!! end or lecture lol.

Donna Welcome You have realistic goals. I believe the brands can make a difference in your dose, etc. Glad you found something that works for you.

meli I just dont tell many people what Im doing. My friend is getting ready to start and Ijust gave her a warning she may not want to tell people just because they are so dang judgmental and negative & well we dont need people to bring us down. Measurements I seemed to notice a lot more inch loss in P3 than I do in P2...strange.

Dollia This thread is crazy busy..heck a day and Im lost lol...I mean just look @ this post.

Betsy I too wish our bodies would just cooperate with all this work we are trying to make it do and just keep losing. You're doing great. Stay positive!

Tmoon IMO-Its not good to eat that low of cals or you could put yourself into starvation mode. Try to up the proteins. Its not bad to "skip" the foods but it is if it results in very very low calories being eaten.

    WHEW that was a lot!
AFM Im down 1.2 today. Im having a grilled chicken salad & fajitas today.

Hope everyone is having a great day...one day at a time & stay focused....

    Cool vlcd 8: ?

I didn't weigh today. I couldn't face the scales. I haven't lost for 2 days, and there was just too much pressure. I know I'm staying on protocol, so I just moved on this morning, and maybe we'll see how I feel tomorrow. Hopefully at some point of eating like a pigeon my body will let some of the weight go. I realized the pills I take for my adrenals are pure salt, so I stopped taking those, and have been sticking to the other changes I promised to make.

I feel really good mentally, and have not been hungry until meal times, and felt full when I was done eating! Yeah for correct dose! (I went up from 150 to 175.) Lovin' the good vibrations on this board. You guys are really rocking it...er crushing it, I mean. Goooo Losers!

I had a little "buck up princess" talk with myself this morning.

I started going through all the different experiences I have had due to my heavier than a planet days and using them as fuel to relight a fire under my backside.

I feel centred again, and I could hear the hCG in my fridge start to shiver in fear.

I am very interested in how 4 litres affects this diet. I have had less and more, but never that amount consistently. I'm actually fairly excited about seeing how it all works out. I'm a big proponent in keeping things as consistent as possible, since my starving body doesn't need anymore surprises. If my cat goes freakers if I forget to feed her on time, and we've only known each other less than a decade, I can imagine my liver (we've known each other longer) will be less accepting of forgetting it.

I look like a child that has raided dad's wardrobe. All I need, to complete the look, is mom's lipstick in my hair.

I plan to get new clothes, no matter what weight I am at, when this round ends. I have sizes running the full gambit of 4x, 4xt, 3x, 3xt, 2x, 2xt and now 1x and 1xt. My local "overly fluffy" store giggles everytime I walk through the door.

    From wikipedia:

If the diet is changed from a highly glycemic diet to a diet that does not provide sufficient carbohydrate to replenish glycogen stores, the body goes through a set of stages to enter ketosis. During the initial stages of this process, blood glucose levels are maintained through gluconeogenesis, and the adult brain does not burn ketones; however, the brain makes immediate use of ketones for lipid synthesis in the brain. After about 48 hours of this process, the brain starts burning ketones in order to more directly use the energy from the fat stores that are being depended upon, and to reserve the glucose only for its absolute needs, thus avoiding the depletion of the body's protein store in the muscles.[7]

(I left out the part about low carb diets being controversial...but I just told you it said that. [email protected] Sorry folks. They're controversial.) Anyhoo, you're burning fat to protect muscle, and your brain is using ketones to fuel itself. I believe that's what we're shooting for.

(edited to add): The tips of my fingers get so cold, that I lose all blood in them, and have no feeling. I'm going to have to start wearing gloves all the time. On the bright side, when I fold my hands (which seems like something you wouldn't do very much, but for whatever reason I do it a lot) my fingers are skinnier! Yeah skinny fingers. Can't wait to get my wedding ring resized! (in a couple of months, of course.)
