A bit about me. I'm a 28 year old stay at home mom to three girls ages 10, 7, and 2. The hubs and I have been happily married for 12 years. I used to be a preschool teacher but raising everyone else's kiddos and trying to raise mine right burnt me out. I decided to focus on my own kiddos. I love to bake, sew, and grow our own produce in our family garden. We like to travel, camp, off road, and I am just taking up shooting. I am hoping to get good enough to go hunting with DH soon.

I have been with my significant other for 20 years this year although we originally got together when I was only 13 and had a few intermissions but we managed to make it. We have two kids, a 15 year old and a 6 year old ( I realize that is a huge gap.. ) We are going to get married finally this October and would have done so sooner except we really don't see it as being any different than what we are right now and I wanted to lose weight so that I could feel good about myself before I did it.

I am Director of Development for a Web / Video / Marketing Company and I was recently made part owner so I'm learning all the exciting things about having ownership in a company while still working my full time position for said Company! I also do a lot of web development work on the side for my own freelance / contract type business although this leaves me with very little free time and almost no real exercise as my life is in front of a computer!! To attempt to balance this some I took up pottery and I love it so much that I transformed half of my basement into a really great pottery studio but I find I don't get down there near enough with my schedule. The last six years of my life have been so much better than the decade before that due to some health issues that I managed to work through.. so aside from the weight gain I can say that I'm finally a calm, and happy person. I do however wish that I was more social. My work and my insecurity which developed from suddenly being overweight when I was always very small has made me sort of a recluse and I wish I could find a way to change that.

I will say however that since I've been back on the diet I have found myself doing better in so many ways. I'm getting out of the house more. I'm putting more time and effort into getting dressed up. I actually went to the movies with my better half just the other day and I swear that was the first time I've been to the movies in a long time. Things are good.. and I have you guys to talk to everyday about the HCG which is center of my universe at the moment so I'm happy about that.
I love to hear that you are putting effort into a daily routine that makes YOU feel better about YOU!! I am doing the same thing

What do you want to hunt? I like pheasant hunting, but haven't done any big game. My DH is an avid deer hunter (yes, I am a widow for months in the fall) but I don't have any desire to sit in a stand and freeze my butt off...

.5 gain this morning (refuse to update ticker) Could have been the EPIC FAIL Smoothie King yesterday or the steamed shrimp and broccoli from last night (which I simply ate too much of). Today, it's more water and correct portion control...oh, and MofM wouldn't hurt either.
Mini Goal is to see the 140's by this time next week.

Ugh. I woke to a .2 gain!!! I didn't cheat but I did not get enough water or enough sleep. It feels unfair to have any kind of gain when I didn't get any kind of awesome yummy food out of it

I was co raid leader for my team as well and I totally agree it's a huge pain. I only have casual players in my guild now and I run with outside teams. It's better for my sanity. I got sick of dealing with high school age drama everyday! Plus I think I got burnt out.

ha ha ha.. I started this yesterday afternoon and just realized I never finished it.. going to submit it and then catch up later Have an AWESOME day all!!!!

Nilly, I hope that your last week in P3 offers you some stabilization. Sometimes I wish I had a crystal ball to figure out why sometimes I gain, or sometimes I lose but it seems like I'm eating the same. I still have a few weeks in P2 but I think that I am going to continue writing my food down so I can tweak it from day to day to stay w/in the 2 pounds.. If I don't write it down, I forget it! smh.. my memory isn't so great these days... I'm sorry that you are living in such pain and I hope that the doctors figure it out for you so you can get on the right treatment and all fixed up

You are rocking P3!!! I am LOVING that my eating clean is making my kids want to eat healthier.. I can't wait to cook for the whole family instead of making their food and then mine.

I'm curious.. do you guys typically see a difference in the amount of weight loss you have on the days when you do a skip dose? I was just wondering if that could have contributed to my stall any.
I skip every 7th day and for the most part I am not any hungrier on my skip day. If you were hungry, there is a chance that your dose is on the low range of what works for you. I just push extra water when my tummy growls My losses on skip days are the same as the other days. Hope this helps.

I found it amazing how good I felt when I first started the program... and still do. I think it has a lot to do with cutting out pop and a lot of other chemicals and carbs from my diet. Love it! You are doing AWESOME!!!!

I have a total of 135 lbs to lose (ouch!). I've lost 26.8 so far, so 108.2 lbs left. I was reading that doing short 23 day rounds results in never becoming immune to the HCG and so it can be done more often. I had planned on doing 4 40 day rounds with the hope to lose around 35 lbs per round. ...Do you all think it's better to do say 5 more short rounds or try and go for 3 more long rounds? 5 short rounds will be a total of 325 days with a 6 week break between each round. 3 long rounds will be 246 days if I don't add weeks between rounds and keep them at 6 weeks. I'm torn.
I also have over 100 pounds to lose and am in this for the long haul. My understanding of P & I is that a short round is for someone who has less than 15 pounds to lose.. which certainly isn't me. I will do the 40 days.. stabilize.. then start my next 40 after I've had the full 6 week break.

Thanks for the additional info on M of M. I had a 0.8 lb gain this morning ... still did not get in enough H2O yesterday and probably not enough sleep. Wish everyone a happy day at the scales!!!

    Good morning, everyone

Here I am starting day 2 of P3, and I'm up 1.6 from LDW. I've kept my carbs under 20, but I've added eggs, cheese, olive oil and almonds. I read everything about everyone saying they added things too fast and then turned around and did it myself! I've definitely got to nix the almonds; it's way too easy for me to eat 6 oz without thinking about it. I'm going to skip cheese until the weekend as well. But I may be planning for naught: tomorrow may be a steak day.

In TMI news, I'm pretty shocked that given the fats I've added that things aren't moving, well, more smoothly. I'm still not feeling very well stomach-wise, and haven't since that first salad with olive oil. Being trapped in class with a MoM moment is NOT an option. Pre-HCG I got about 30 grams of fiber a day (mostly from supplements). Benefiber and Fiber Choice list sugar alcohols (sorbitol) as their only sugar; wouldn't the effective carbs theory argue that they are safe? Having increased my protein, I've gotta do something!

Thank you, Foxy for reporting on your inches! I am so happy for you and hoping for myself! That's my biggest trouble area. Just never been the same since the babies, but my babies are 18 & 19! It's time for it to hit the road

Saw a few other seamstresses in yesterday's intros. Is anyone else making a pile of things they want to take in? I have to get the bridesmaids' dresses done, but my pile of 'if I add darts here...' is climbing up the wall

Happy almost Friday, Gang. Whatever you're doing, enjoy it!

I was down .6 lbs this morning. I'm pretty close to my goal weight. I have not been this weight for at least 25 years. I am happy with the way I look. I'm just going to take it day by day.

Reading your posts give me motivation to keep going.

    Have a great day everyone.
Freedom! I feel the same way. I wanted to go 23 days. But, I will shoot for 40 now because I want to lose the max amount in each round. This is my second round and I find every week I come across at least 3 days that I just want to quit. I push myself thru it though. These posts do inspire me to keep on keepin' on. I know my next round will put me closer to "what I'm suppose to be" but, not sure if I want to go down that far. So, Round 3 is when I will take it day by day (even though that's how I'm feeling now). Today is my TU's birthday and I want to badly to get him some chocolate. I, believe it or not, am not a chocoholic, but he is. He is having a harder time this week than I am, so I know some chocolate will cheer him up, but I also know he may jump ship with it too. So, I may go out and buy ingredients to make some Cocoa Crack instead.
I can't wait to get to where your are. So close to your goal weight.
Keep up the great work, Freedom. You are worth it!

P3 food warning - don't read below if you don't want to drool.....

I made THE BEST chicken EVER last night! I seasoned and then baked the chicken in butter. Sauteed onions and mushrooms in butter until they were reduced about 1/2, added HWC = YUM!!!!!!! I had made almond flour polenta the night before, and this sauce over that was to die for!

    Have a great day!!

    Morning lovelies.

No time to go through personals this morning just yet...but I am down .2, to make it AN EVEN 20 POUNDS! woo hoo. 4 to go before p3, hopefully they'll just melt away. Although, I think if I had a visit to the potty I'd be even closer to the goal *sigh*.

Be back in a bit *hugs all around*
