I do have the fitbit and I know there is that scale that goes with it but I'm unsure of it's accuracy.

    Holy cow, it's $130...

    c ground flax.
    1 tsp baking powder.
    2 tsp cinnamon.
    1 tsp coconut oil.
    1 egg
    2 packets of sugar substitute

Place the ingredients into a mug, mix and put it in the microwave for 50 seconds. Allow to cool and then enjoy!
*I put a little whipped cream in top while warm!

Hey all! I'm on my first day of P3 and I must say, it's been interesting. I decided I'd just add in cream cheese today, and made some oopsie rolls. I ended up having four of them (two for breakfast... I had an egg "sandwich" and for lunch I had a chicken "sandwhich"). I went to take a nap and was woken up by heartburn! I've never had heartburn in my entire life, and so I didn't know what it felt like, and I thought my chest was going to explode. After hitting google, I realized it might be heartburn. I took some Prilosec, and it's a bit better, but it's still there.

My sister thinks that my body probably could not handle that much cream cheese after a long round of vlcd. I'm wondering if anyone has ever developed heartburn or had any other reaction with cheeses? I'm going to lay off the oopsie rolls, but I was planning on adding in cheddar and mozzarella cheese in the next few days (culminating in a cauliflower crust pizza). Do you think it's still ok to try, as long as I keep the amount of cheese low? Or do I need to talk to a doc first?

Happy Birthday Suzanna!! Yumm on the cheesecake :-) Hope you had a GREAT day!!

Looking ahead to P3/P4 have any of you gone Gluten free since this diet? I am thinking that is what I'd like to do and know hubby would benefit from it as well. Just need to educate myself some more. If any of you have favorite links to share that would be most appreciated!!

Friday night I made the spaghetti squash tuna casserole. It was good, but I'm thinking next time I'll try it with chicken. The tuna was pretty pungent!

Haven't gotten on the scale at all this weekend. Guess I'll brave it tomorrow!!
    Happy Belated birthday!

Awesome job for eating healthy on your birthday!

I have. This is my third week of P4 and I'm pretty much eating p3 food. I've added a tiny bit of fruit. no grains, and no sugars.
I have to be extremely careful with cheese. I've found that if I eat more than an ounce of cheese, the next day, I gain.
I 'm at 2 lbs above LDW. I'm not doing a steak day. I'm staying away from cheese and nuts.

I would say I am 90% gluten free these days. Working to get to 100%. I honestly think I have an issue with yeast. The one and only time I have had bread in the past 6 weeks, I gained over a pound. But I was fine with pasta, so that makes me think it's the yeast in the bread...

My daughter is taking a turn at gluten free as well. She has had digestive issues for a few years, and according to the doctors, there is nothing wrong with her (no celiac, crones, etc.) After reading about how bad wheat and corn are, she has decided to try it out for 6 weeks to see if it helps. If it does, I think I will have a mini-cavegirl on my hands LOL! For her, at 18 and in college, it is the convenience foods that are tough to give up. So, I'm hoping to help her out by making weekly menus and the added bonus of having her over for dinner more often during the week!

I don't really have any favorite sites - I just search for stuff when I think about it.

    Hey all,

I have another question (sorry I'm so full of them!). I finally convinced a friend to try HCG, and she's now into her second week, and she's not doing too well. She's STARVING, and having hunger pangs, and because of it, she's cheated every day of the diet. I told her to lower her dosage, and then I told her to try raising it, and there's no difference. Should she keep trying different dosages?

This is what she told me.

"So i've really been struggling with this diet and we're into week 2. I tried lowering and increasing my dosage and i still have stomach-growling hungry pangs. When I don't eat, I feel hungry and nauseous and as soon as I eat a little bit I feel full and nauseous and then within 20 min I'm back to hungry and nauseous again. I guess the "nausea" is supposed to be that "empty but content" feeling but it's actually a mild discomfort for me.

I also started my cycle over the weekend so all that mixed with cramping and bloating is just making me want to eat half the grocery store lol! there hasn't been a day that I haven't cheated. Either overeating or eating things i shouldn't or both. On the bright side, i haven't gained any weight and havent had any adverse side effects (hair loss is minimal to none)."

Advice? She's tried every diet under the sun, and I wanted her to succeed on this (because all of us here have succeeded on it!), but I don't know what else to tell her.

What hCG is she using? Is it possible she got fake drops or something? I have heard that some people who purchased it at Walmart didn't have success at all, and I'm not certain it was actually hCG.

The other thing is, and please don't think I am being harsh on her, but... this is a tough protocol. And if you're head isn't in the game, you will sabotage yourself into failure. Are you sure her head is in it? A lot of us had to struggle through the first week or two, fighting hunger that wasn't really hunger - more a feeling of being deprived. Cheating to me, is a waste of time, money and energy. Because you will not get results if you cheat.

I know you want her to succeed, but it does take work. And she has to do the work herself. As much as you want to help her, she has to do this on her own and for herself.

    I wish you both luck!!!
