Yeah, that's about what I average after the first week. I think that's why I struggled after the maintenance phase of R1.. I decided to try to drop a few pounds before R2 and when the weight didn't fly off I got frustrated.. when I was in WW, I averaged about 1-2 pounds a week. hCG has me very spoiled.
Do you know when you are moving yet? So jealous!

LOL!!! THAT IS SO FUNNY!!!! AND TRUE!!!

Hey FFF- The scale is pretty accurate. It's a digital and I checked with some 10 lb weights after to make sure it was still reading correctly. then weight myself again just in case it decided to change for the better- it didn't! ; ( As far as Thyroid, yes I do have a problem, but am on meds since last year (Armour Thyroid) I keep close watch to be sure I'm taking enough, and that is managed fine at the moment. Good suggestions though! Wish I'd realized I had a thyroid problem last January because it might have helped me stop gaining an additional 60 lbs before I figured it out!

My little girl returned fine, and I am so relieved. She's still groggy a bit and needs help getting up on the sofa, but she's getting better by the minute. I love my girls! I am sticking to it, I have no choice. I don't want to live the rest of my life looking like this. If I was at 180 I could stand it, wearing a regular size large and a size 14 pant. But at a size 20 I just can't stand the thought of staying at this weight for good.

I hate the lifestyle I have right now. It IS full of stress and I really hate it. I am working to change things for the better, or at least I keep thinking I'm doing that! But every month keeps feeling the same. The same struggles, the same financial strain, the same feeling in the pit of my stomach being stuck down here in Florida. It's starting to get to the point of unbearable. the funny thing is that I am normally a positive person (though you could not tell lately by my posts- sorry!). I actually went to school for 2 years to become a certified Life Coach because when I sold my last dog collar company I wanted to do something that would be more fulfilling for me and I love the coaching because it helps people get out of the stagnation in their lives, their relationships, what ever it is that is not working for them. Ha HA! So I know that I am not happy right now and that I need to become clear about what I want for my life and then to set small goals working up to the main goal of the change. Easy formula. Works every time. Only thing is that I AM clear about what I want and where I want to be. I have set goals and am focused working towards them. It all just seems to be moving so slow or not at all, and some of what I need to happen is reliant on other people in this case. I know I can't take much more of this. I fantasize about getting in my car and just driving away and leaving it all behind. I wish I could. I have put ads up on Boston Craigslist both for a house swap for a minimum of 2 weeks as well as that we are looking for a summer sublet or a reasonable priced apartment and we will travel up and down as we can. I decided last week that I have had enough and if it's the energy down here that is making everything in my life feel like I'm dragging through mud, then logically we need to go North to where I never had these frustrations and problems before and where I was happy (and even had a social life and some time to myself not working!). I am trying to make the changes happen, I really am. I'm also working with someone with the licencing thing although if she doesn't get moving soon I'm going to have to look for help somewhere else. As far as the magazine I have reigned the sales people in, even the director. We have upgraded to an office and everyone has to come in every day to make their phone calls and appointments. No more "working from home". this will hopefully ensure that work will in fact get done. this is our first week with the office and so far they had brought in $1500.00 for the entire month up until Monday. This week they have brought in $2050.00. More than the last 3 weeks all together. It seems to be working. I've also established that when we meet at 9am at the office, they will hand me all the business cards and notes they have from appointments and phone calls when out on the road the day before and I will put them in the CRM system along with reminders to pop up on days when they have appointments and phone calls to return, thus making sure 1. that they worked the day before and 2. that calls and meetings are not missed or forgotten. Yes, it is more work to put on myself but also a set plan established to push them into working as they should be, getting the office settled and organized and getting them familiar with the important CRM software and using it for everything so that THEY are organized and following up as they should be. My hope is that this will result in sales increases and in turn will make my life so much more manageable so that I can then start to work towards getting out of dodge for good! Sorry for dumping Diane and others. Again it's been a tough day- tough month! We had to file a police report today on an employee who took payment for an ad and then spent it and of course is now MIA. there's one ad that we know of anyway. He may have been doing it for several ads and never telling us about the ads at all. If that's the case, we will likely find out next month when people don't see their ads in the magazine. I'm crossing my fingers that we caught this before he was able to do much damage, but it is unfortunate to have to deal with this type of thing. It would never occur to me to do such a thing, ever! But I'm not in Vermont anymore!
OMG!!! A new office? New procedures? More monitoring of employees? New software program?
All this on top of: sewing collars, Mom and Dad and the house situation, minimal BF time (because he's in the play), doggie not feeling well, looking for licensing help, AND lets not forget HCG! Girl you need one of those salt tanks. Climb on in and float. I've never been in one, but I hear they are REEEELAAAAAAAAAAXIIIIIING! You need to call out sick for 2 days and not do any work. I know this is easier said than done, but you need some "mental" time off.
Deep breaths my friend, deep breaths

    Also,
I went back to Pounds and Inches, here's what Dr. S. has to say in regards to stalls.
    ************************************************** ************************************************** ****
    Interruptions of Weight Loss
We distinguish four types of interruption in the regular daily loss. The first is the one that has already
been mentioned in which the weight stays stationary for a day or two, and this occurs, particularly
towards the end of a course, in almost every case.
    The Plateau
The second type of interruption we call a “plateau”. A plateau lasts 4-6 days and frequently occurs
during the second half of a full course,
particularly in patients that have been doing well and whose
overall average of nearly a pound per effective injection has been maintained. Those who are losing
more than the average all have a plateau sooner or later. A plateau always corrects, itself, but many
patients who have become accustomed to a regular daily loss get unnecessarily worried and begin to
bet. No amount of explanation convinces them that a plateau does not mean that they are no longer
    responding normally to treatment.
In such cases we consider it permissible, for purely psychological reasons, to break up the plateau.
This can be done in two ways. One is a so-called “apple day”. An apple-day begins at lunch and
continues until just before lunch of the following day. The patients are given six large apples and are
told to eat one whenever they feel the desire though six apples is the maximum allowed. During an
apple-day no other food or liquids except plain water are allowed and of water they may only drink
just enough to quench an uncomfortable thirst if eating an apple still leaves them thirsty. Most patients
feel no need for water and are quite happy with their six apples. Needless to say, an apple- day may
never be given on the day on which there is no injection. The apple-day produces a gratifying loss of
weight on the following day, chiefly due to the elimination of water. This water is not regained when
the patients resume their normal 500- Calorie diet at lunch, and on the following days they continue to
    lose weight satisfactorily.
The other way to break up a plateau is by giving a non- mercurial diuretic for one day. This is simpler
for the patient but we prefer the apple-day as we sometimes find that though the diuretic is very
effective on the following day it may take two to three days before the normal daily reduction is
resumed, throwing the patient into a new fit of despair. It is useless to give either an apple-day or a
diuretic unless the weight has been stationary for at least four days without any dietary error having
    been committed.
    Reaching a Former Level
The third type of interruption in the regular loss of weight may last much longer-ten days to two
    weeks.
Fortunately, it is rare and only occurs in very advanced cases, and then hardly ever during the
first course of treatment. It is seen only in those patients who during some period of their lives have
maintained a certain fixed degree of obesity for ten years or more and have then at some time rapidly
increased beyond that weight. When then in the course of treatment the former level is reached,
it may take two weeks of no loss, in spite of HCG and diet, before further reduction is normally
    resumed.
    Menstrual Interruption
The fourth type of interruption is the one which often occurs a few days before and during the
menstrual period and in some women at the time of ovulation. It must also be mentioned that when
a woman becomes pregnant during treatment - and this is by no means uncommon - she at once
    ceases to lose weight.
An unexplained arrest of reduction has on several occasions raised our
suspicion before the first period was missed. If in such eases menstruation is delayed, we stop
injecting and do a precipitation test five days later. No pregnancy test should be carried out earlier
than five days after the last injection, as otherwise the HCG may give a false positive result.
    ************************************************** ************************************************
Waiting sucks, but just hang on!
Any chance you could be pregnant?

    Hope this helps you.

Fbb-Wow, you do read all the posts! You are correct. I'm dealing with all that. I just told my BF that this is so ridiculous because we don't even have kids! Life should be simple!

WARNING FOR EVERYONE: I have been reading up on this gain situation and have found that stress while on HCG causes stalls and gains. This has happened to several people- the same exact thing as what I have been going through this round. So try to stay asstress free as possible!

I don't know if I should go off until the stress passes or not. I don't want to toss 1/2 a vial because the HCG is now hard to get and expensive, but I can't see the point in staying on right now if the stress is just going to cause a stall or gain with 500 calories. At least if I'm on P3 I can enjoy cheese and cocoa coconut mousse! But I also don't want to stop here. I want to see the 220's! this round is almost a complete wash so far and I can tell tomorrow I will be up again as I got on the scale earlier and it read 235.something.

    Round 1 Start 1/1/12, 272.0, 40 Days END 238.0 (-34 lbs total)
    Round 2 Start 3/24/12 post load weight 252.4 , 46 day round

Lily I had a round that was a complete waste of time and HCG lost only 7 lbs in one short cycle. Most of my rounds I lost 23-26 lbs. First round it was like a 32lb loss. I say hang in there if you can, but I am with you here regardless of you decision. It has to be right for you not what we think you should do. BUT I agree with FFF you need some serious ME time to decompress. Take care of yourself, the HCG will be here for you when your ready again and life isn't so hectic.

    lily,

From your signature line, I see you've lost around 20 lbs in 4 weeks. I think that's pretty darn great! On my last round, I think I lost about 7 lbs. The weight loss does get slower as you get into your round. Try not to get frustrated. You seem to be very impatient. The more you fight with existing circumstances, the harder they become.

Stress is around us and we need to be able to deal with it during and after hcg. Things don't always go as planned. I hope you don't take this the wrong way. I only want the best for you. BUt try to look at the positive side. You have a lot on your plate. Being angry and frustrated isn't going to help you. The weight will come off. You can be sure of that.

    Have a wonderful day

    Freedom....

    Friday Morning Drama:
So... the first thing I do when my alarm goes off every morning is to go to the bathroom, take off my jammies and weigh myself (sorry for the visual there..LOLOL). So this morning I tap the on switch with my foot... nothing. Tap it again... nothing. Bend over (again.. sorry for the visual) and hit it with my hand.. nothing. So I flip it over and check the batteries.. dead. It takes 4 AA. So as I run around my house mostly naked (eeks.. this is rated PG13 this a.m.) I am having a mini freak out.. what if I can't find any!!! What if the new batteries make the scale work "better" and I'm really 10 pounds heavier than the scale read yesterday... so.. short story longer, I finally find batteries and rush back to the bathroom and install them.. +.2. sigh. You'd think that the mini-marathon I ran to find the darn'd batteries would have at least given me a -.2. But it's all good

Stress causes gains and stalls no matter what diet you are on. Not to mention other health issues. IMO, I would stick with it, at least until your bottle is empty. I'd hate to throw it away too and honestly, the big loss could be right around the corner. Maybe try your best to relax.. enjoy some hot tea.. maybe a nice detox bath.. some Natural Calm (I LOVE that stuff big time).. But honestly, the last thing you need to be stressed out about is being stressed out

Anyways, I am ready to start R2P2 and the last time i checked, All Day Chemist was not selling the Rx version of hCG. Where are you guys buying drops from? I have two co-workers that want to give hCG a try, and so I want to make sure they (and me) get the right stuff.

Looks like you guys are all doing really well. Congratulations on your healthier version of you !!!!

Any chance your hcg has lost its potency? And yes, stress will raise cortisol which messes with your hormones. After realizing that my Rx hcg would start deteriorating in the 2nd to 3rd week and be pretty lame by the 20th day, I started filling and immediately freezing my syringes. This has worked very well for me and results in little wasted hcg. My dose is pretty consistent at about 200 IU's. And I often do planned interruptions so freezing has also prevented wasting hcg. If in doubt about your dosing, add a little bit more to each syringe cuz it's easy to squirt a little out if needed. My hcg has always been potent when I take it out of the freezer--even after a few months. Be sure to tap the air bubble out of the top before injecting as it will expand a little when freezing.
