Has anyone tried the spiralizer yet? A friend of mine on FB posted a pic of some "noodles" she made with it. So cool! I bought it with my Amazon points. Woot woot! ;p She said it does lots of other stuff, so I'm excited to break it out and try all the possibilities. I'm a sucker for kitchen gadgets. It looks like it makes apple slices too.

Hello everyone! How have you all been? It's been a while since I've been on here. I gave myself a little more space between rounds than was absolutely necessary simply because my head wasn't in it and I didn't want to set myself up for failure. I believe I'm ready so here we go again. Today is actually Day 1 of P2 for me so wish me luck. I'm already super hungry. I always find the first few days to be the absolute hardest of each round. I was standing in my kitchen a few minutes ago considering all of the possible cheats and I realized that I needed you guys again otherwise I just wasn't going to make it!! There is no way I could possibly catch up to when I last read so I hope all of you are doing well and I look forward to sharing another round with you guys.
It's never too late too be what you might have been.

My plan of attack is thus: Today I am kicking it off with an IF - we have a LOT of leftover steak from yesterday, so I plan to have some fruit around noon and then a large portion of steak with either a lettuce salad or spinach around 3:00. WATER WATER WATER... if I can get a few pounds down the first day I think that will bolster me through the rest of my reset.

ALSO, I am having my family join me on this dive into super healthy eating. They can last 2 weeks on lean protein and healthy vegetables and certain fruits. I can't limit their snacks, but I can make their meals...

    Make it a great day!

Fatty: Great job on taking the bull by the horns. I think IF is a great way to lose a bit. We're rooting for you! I'm sorry you're not stable...dang.

Same for you Cal! You should be able to eat a regular meal on p4 and not balloon up like that. It sucks. I know I have screwed up many a stabilization phase, but it seems like you and Fatty followed the rules. I am wondering what the trouble is. I know not everyone stabilizes, but....

How long were each of your last rounds? 20 or 40? I'm just doing a little research. Thanks guys!
    Awesome on hitting your goal!

I made a promise to myself that I will NEVER go past this # again so today is the day to get hold of this and get the scale to be my friend once more. Not sure what my plan will be yet but today will try a low fat high protein day with VERY limited carbs.
Diane, You can do this! Keep us in the loop so we can help you if needed!

AFM, Had 16 people at our house yesterday! Lots of fun! I made two different kinds of low carb ice cream. Both were a huge hit. I also had a shot fo tequila. I was worried I see again today but I pretty much stayed the same. Still 2 lbs above LDW. But I had a lot of comments on how good I look!

    Have a great day all!

You know, I'm a big proponent of having an outside motivator. Of course, the first few days can be hard, but so can the last few days, and the parties and BBQs. Some of the tricks I've used and heard others using~give someone you trust a fat picture. Set your goal. (I just like mine to be "stick to protocol" rather than a certain # of pounds lost.) If you cheat, or don't reach goal, they have your permission to post the pic on FB. I don't like this one particularly well, so I promised my FB friends I would send one of them a loaf of homemade bread if I didn't stick to protocol. That really helped. Especially when I had to send one out and it was 10 bucks for shipping! This time, I gave my husband a card with embarrassing info in it, and told him he could open it if I cheat.

You're looking for something that makes you "run screaming into the night." I also use positive motivation. (I got a haircut and a new ear piercing when I hit the 130s this round.) But I have to have both the carrot and the stick to keep me honest with myself. This is a great opportunity to feel better in your skin. Take advantage of it!

I came to a conclusion yesterday and I need to make it public in order to ensure that I follow through with it...

Almost 2 month ago, I had minor surgery. I gained weight, but contributed it to water weight from the anesthesia and shock to my system. From that point, I have not been able to get back to my LDW. On Grammy's advice, I adjusted my LDW by 2lbs. I was fine with that. But in the past 2 weeks or so, I have slowly but steadily watched as the scale went up, putting me 6lbs over my LDW. I am NOT ok with that. I know that I have developed some sensitivities that I need to deal with, but haven't done the greatest job from a long term perspective of that. I have also said 'f-it' a couple of times and eaten things LACED with sugar and flour that I know I can no longer have. I have had days with not enough water. I have had nights with too much wine. ENOUGH!!!

So... starting Tuesday, I am pulling up my big girl panties to a point where I may end up with a big girl panty wedgie!!! Going back to P2 foods only, but with a P3 mindset - not worrying about calories or portion control, as far as proteins and veggies. 2 fruits, no sugars or starches (including Melba, which I like ok, but don't deem a necessity). I will mix veggies, but no nightshades as those seem to be one of the things I can't tolerate (although I love me some onions and mushrooms...) Goodbye HWC, hello flavored coffee. I plan to do this for 2 weeks or until I lose the 6lbs, which ever is longer. I really think I need 2 weeks at least to get reset on the sensitivities.

Wish me luck. As you know, I'll be checking in.

Hope you're all having a great holiday weekend. Please remember those who went before us to give us the FREEDOM we sometimes take for granted.

    God Bless

Good for you....and i am in the exact same boat so while i don't want anyone to fall behind, it's good for us to know that everyone goes through it. I had a decent weekend and didn't go too crazy but just have not gotten back in my groove since Vegas and my dog, so I set today as the day to turn it around as well (in fact, today is the date that I circled on the calendar to re-adjust my mindset, only looking forward right now...time to push forward). And like you, I recruited family. My wife and I are doing this three day reboot at the link below. Doesn't sound too exciting but she never wants to do this stuff so I let her pick any program since i can do just about anything from a willpower standpoint. My goal is that we will finish this Thursday and I'll have lost a few and then get the fitness aspect back into high gear. Already had our morning smoothy and the meals for all three days are already prepped and ready in the fridge so there is nothing left to do.

Oh...and that shrimp boil I did on Saturday. It was SO MUCH FUN! Everyone loved the way it turned out and we just lined the patio table with paper and dumped everything out and every single bite was eaten. It was a great party and one guest brought a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila that was completely consumed. There was even some shotgunning of beers that took place. Felt kind of college like and was a blast. Wonder how my weight ended up going up?!?! Actually, I stayed the same throughout the weekend but the damage was done in the week before.

    Good luck everyone!

You have a lot on your plate right now. An IF might help you get back to where you feel comfortable, and then just make good choices. We're pulling for you!!! Good luck with the movers!

CONGRATS in hitting goal!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO for YOU!!!
I know my problems the past month are due to food intolerance. Dairy mostly, but possibly nuts. Since intolerances cause inflammation, removing them from my system should allow me to get back down. Then it's a matter of really checking to see exactly what causes the gains. Specific cheeses, HWC, almonds, WHAT??? I'm actually glad to be taking the time to do this. I got so wrapped up in the super low carb thing that I was cutting out fruits and veggies way too often. Enjoying some strawberries as I type.

My first round was 42 days, my second 21...

Welcome aboard, Jeremy!!! You have an awesome mindset and I know you'll be back in your healthy comfort zone in no time.

Ain't it fun to play like a crazy kid once in a while??? I can only do it these days when I KNOW I have no responsibilities the next day cuz I sure do feel my age LOL!

Slowly but surely it's coming back down.. Very slowly so.. which makes me nervous... but I'm glad that I didn't chose to just say "Forget it" and go completely off the deep end. I was down .8 today - which puts me at 6.2 over LIW. I decided not to do the IF because I was working my butt off on the house but kept it nice and low carb. For brunch I ate a steak and for dinner I made a roasted chicken and roasted veggies (was really good). I chunked zucchini, eggplant, onion, yellow squash and one tomato and added some lemon juice, salt and a few sprays of liquid aminos. I have a friend coming to help me with the house today.. last Wednesday we went out for a late lunch/early dinner.. perhaps we'll do the same today and I'll do my IF now.. I can skip bfast... hmmm... it's funny, it isn't highly unusual for me to not eat all day but when I think about doing an IF my tummy growls.. ha ha ha ha ha

Both of my rounds were 40 days of shots. I still have 92 pounds to lose so my next few rounds will also be 40 day.. Currently I'm at 26 pounds for the round.. but I really want to drop this 6 I gained and get back to 32.

The first few days of P2 are always the hardest for me hunger wise but the most exciting for me weight-loss wise. I can't wait to hear about your success!!!!

    R1: 307.2, LIW 270.8, released 36.4 pounds, gained 9.6 before round 2.
    R2: 283.8, LIW 251.6, released 32.2, gained 20.2 before round 3.
    R3: 273.8, LIW 241, released 32.8 pounds, gained 4 pounds loading for round 4.
R4: 245, LIW 216.2, released 28.8 pounds, gained 11.8 pounds between and loading for 5.

Down .5 this morning, didn't have a great day yesterday eating wise but today is another day and I no longer see the # on the scale that I dislike so much Fatty I hope your day was better than mine!! I have to be at work for 6 so better get my butt into the shower, I'll check back in this afternoon. Have a great day everyone. Make it count!!

Hey Girl, .8 down is still down! At least it's moving in the right direction. It may take 10 days or so, but honestly, what other protocol can you see that kind of reduction that quickly? My guess is you are holding onto water from sensitivities... Good luck today!

Hi D! Glad to hear you are down a little bit today! You are the queen of the .5, so just keep up the good work. It will come with time and perseverance.

Result of my IF yesterday = 2lb loss! So I am currently 4lbs over adjusted LDW, 6 over original, which is what I am shooting for. Since I am committed to this for at least 14 days, I am setting some mini-goals. First one, get back to adjusted LDW, which will put me within the 2.2+/- of original LDW, then hit the original LDW... THEN the big goal is to make it stick!!!

Happy Wednesday! I love the short work/school weeks but man do they mess me up mentally - keep thinking it's only Tuesday, so my schedule is a little muddled.
