Heh, didn't you notice the '1 Guest' visiting the WLA forum? That was me At this point, I'm not familiar enough yet with the concept of WLA, I'd be feeling like a complete idiot on your new forum ...

On another note, I have a question about Grammy's post that contained a link to Kruse's LR and CT instructions. Any ideas how to make this CT 'Euro'-friendly? Where on earth would I get 20-40 lbs of ice? This isn't America where you can buy frozen water in the store, haha, and my freezer certainly doesn't have the capacity for that.

I never use that much ice. I just use tap water. it's about 55 degrees here so plenty cold enough for starting out. If you want to progress more than that, then get a milk bottle or some other large gallon plastic jug and fill it with water then freeze it. You could also use those freezer packs for coolers. Good luck!

It's Robin explaining what's going on scientifically when you go from P2 to P3 (or P1 to P2 as Robin sees it). She also talks about how to properly go into the next phase. I have about 20 days to go until I go into the no starch/no sugar phase and I am scared of it, I'm worried I won't be eating enough because we eat so little right now in this phase. But I am REEEEAAALLLLYYYY looking forward to having cream in my coffee!

No she hasn't. She has q short video on her thoughts about leptin resistance. She has a bit of a different theory than kruse.

My intuition tells me to eat with hunger. Today was p3 first day and I had to eat a protien breakfast, when I normally don't eat until 12 PM or so. I've been so concerned about BAB, or even any protien in the morning because I simply don't like it and I'm not hungry. My problem has always been overeating once I start to eat, and eating WAY too many carbs with fats and sugars. I am prepared to change my eating habits, but which way? Argh!!!!

And, I value Grammy a great deal, so this is not a complaint, but I've seen that she recommends Woodall's book, but now more Kruse, and it's really just throwing me. I am assuming she's changing her mind, and that's ok, we all do, but what the heck should you believe will work BEST in p3?! Goodall says don't worry about eating unless you're are hungry. Most women here, with a lot of personal experience, say that people gain if they don't eat enough calories and fat.

As for today, I'm more inline with Woodall. I"ll wait until I'm hungry to eat, but keep a snack in my car (I work a weird schedule) if I start to get near a 3.5 in hunger scale. When I do eat in p3, it will be protien, fats, and oils with veg.

I guess in p4, it will be low carb/wheat and gluten free (maybe) and eat when hungry. I guess, sigh. Or maybe I'll do Kruse's method of none of that works-lol!

Great to have y'all to chat with!
Sorry for being away. Am in big Apple with no internet connection. Now having a coffee at Starbucks & trying to catch up. But ve to leave shortly.

Kim, I can totally relate. Started p3 on Thu with the same feelings. Tried to push my cal on Thu & Fri. The effect was that I felt sick with diarrhea on Thu. Then went 3.5# (65.5 kg) up Fri morning (still below LIW). Fri I was o.k. at lunch (mineib breakfast) having lobster with butter & salad until comfortably full. For dinner I wasn't really hungry, but wanted to eat more cal, afraid of gaining if I don't eat enough. Had a pit of steak & 1 organic poultry sausage.3 min. Later I threw up & felt sick all night. Not sure if it was a bug or if my body was refusing to overeat. Anyway, got the message. Sat morning I was at 65.6 kg. I flew to NYK that day. Wasn't hungry for breakfast, so had some coffee with coconut cream. On the plane I had the fish they served & some cheese when I got hungry. Later, when I git hungry again, I had a small steak & the poultry sausages I had brought along (only enough to feel full, threw the rest of the steak away). Then we were out for dinner. Had steak & spinach with butter. Ate a little too much (guess was at 6 it 6.5 on the hunger scale), cause I had waited too long & got too hungry. So again tummy ache half of the night. Had them pack the rest of my steak to go, which I had with some guacamole for lunch today (no breakfast except coffee with half & half, cause wasn't hungry). This morning I was down to 64.4 & feeling great.
Just listen to ur body. Whatever works for u is the rt thing.

I am doing it all over as well. I quit smoking, then had a baby and indulged myself the whole time. I weigh what I weighed at 9 months of pregnancy with my first son 11 years ago. I am waiting for my HCG to come in the mail, but am 'practicing' until it gets here. I am interested more in this weight loss apacolypse.

Thanks, pensee, I'll look for that video. I'm still uncertain about her ideas. I'm worried what so little food will do to metabolism. I've been interested in her theories and reading up on them though.

Actually, the food is not that little. When I calculated what I had yesterday I ended up eating a bit above 2000 cal. I just ate 4 times plus a snack of coffee with half & half and a bottle of vitamin water zero to carry me over to dinner. It was far less the first 2 days of p3, guess my body needed that time to adjust and was still releasing too much leptin. It's just impossible to predict how much time everyone will need to completely eliminate all the hcg and to reduce leptin production. Hunger is the only indicator.
Think my cals will b less today as well, but attending a conference u don't really move around that much or burn a lot. So that also makes sense to me. We'll c how my hunger goes for the rest of the day though. It's 3:25 p.m. and I am somewhere between 600-800 cal I guess. But I am just not a breakfast person. Never have been.
