Thread: Any other 'Weight Loss Apocalypse Protocol' followers out there??

    I've been upping my fats, keeping my carbs low, only eating when hungry and stopping when full. Unreal eh! Lol. I've been .6 over ldw for most of p3, but exactly at ldw the last 4 days! Pretty happy with that. I've added back cheese, Philly cream cheese, almond milk, pistachio butter, nuts, olives, liked some frosting off my fingers... So far so good! I'm p3 d13.

    It works. I over did it one day and went up 2.3 lbs. trying to get back down.

    My egg day didn't work I stayed the same but I didn't follow it to the letter. I stuck with eggs for the most part but the quiche wasn't part of it. It was quite a stretch. But oh we'll, I had been wanting it for day's!

    Doing the clean eating today (for hunger) and hopefully will get to work out tonight!

    Having trouble staying In the 3.5-5 range. Ending my meals in the 6 range...hoo hum!

    CORRECTION! Egg day did work! I never seem to weigh well at 6am! I went back to sleep for a few hours after Huns left and weighed again and I was down a pound so I am back on target PENSEE.

    Going to eat my yummy quiche for breakfast! Fish and steamed broccoli for dinner. Not sure about lunch just yet. Maybe some eggplant pizza's. That sounds yum so think I'll do that!

    I just ordered this book and cannot wait to read it! Glad to know so many are following it. I'll be sure to check back after i've read it. My main problem has always been emotional eating/drinking. Looking forward to l=kicking that bad habit.

    Marvless, I'm with you on the scale issue. I'm still in discovery mode and the scale is a tool. I've got to learn if I have a food sensitivity. I think she's got some great ideas and I like her hunger scale very much. Mentally, it works way better for me than a BAB, or going paleo, which I considered.

    But, I also think the gals here know what they are talking about, and Dr S, regarding watching your weight in p3 and looking for food sensitivites.

    Kim, I think you're on to something - taking the two approaches and using them to our advantage. Food sensitivities really throw a wrench in things and the weight can climb quickly if those aren't dealt with. I like eating a clean, whole food diet, but the BAB got really hard for me to continue.

    I got back on the scale today and was down 2 lbs since Friday. Compared to last round I'm right on track, doing even slightly better. Thank goodness my experiment didn't set me back. I'm just about halfway through my round and as long as I stay POP should be able to get back to LIW.

    I agree MARV. I am also integrating the two together. I am doing it out of stabilization fear being that this is my first round. I want to stabilize well so I did a correction day which is against WLA protocol. I also don't believe in pushing or counting the calories. Id rather eat for hunger which is in line with the WLA protocol. I also want to get over my emotional eating tendencies and bad habits! So for the most part WLA is for me but the not weighing and not doing corrections is where I seem to hit the fence!

    Congrats kitri. Unfortunately nothing seems to b working for me. Up another 0.9 today, so total 3.3# above LIW. Traveling on p3 sucks. Things were going well until that silly sugar free ice cream! Trying to eat clean, but when u eat out all the time u can't really b sure. Wish me luck.

    Kitri, happy it went down! I've done the same thing, sometimes you need more sleep!

    I'm with you all on following some of Robins ideas, but I'm weighing and will do corrections, I think it's key. Too risky not to weigh in p3.

    You can do it pensee....maybe try sticking to meat and veggie and use low glycemic fruits and cheese to curb cravings??? It is so much easier to give advice than to follow it!

    Tell me abt it! Ve been answering questions all the time & now an totally freaking out.
    The problem at the moment are not so much the cravings (although it sucks that I can't make any p3 treats). Keeping my sweets cravings in check with flavoured coffees & tea. The problem us that I am eating out 100% of the time & can't control the additives. I guess not getting enough sleep is also a factor. Well, last day in NYK today, heading home tomorrow. Hope I can get things under control then.
