Lucy, also wanted to let you know what I do drink-wise. I squeeze a bunch of lemons and then freeze the juice in to ice cubes (also do the same with my homemade chicken stock) and then if I am bored of water I have an ice cube of lemon in my water or in a glass of sparkling mineral water. Yummo! Really hits the spot.

Not sure what you can do to stop cheating at night (maybe save a piece of fruit - an orange for night when you might need extra sweetness) but this time around I haven't cheated or deviated at all and am not interested to. I have decided that as long as I'm on the VLCP this time that I will be 110% devoted to working the program to the letter and the moment that becomes too hard then I will go to P3 etc. So far I think I will easily be able to do 40-60 days - if I feel so inclined.

Thankfully I've stopped cheating at night, it was just that first week where I would be famished prior to going to bed (physically hungry), but then I got way into Weight Loss Apocalypse and as soon as I stopped trying to time when I eat and just eating when I'm hungry, then I'm fine. I was getting up each day and forcing myself to sit through hunger because "I only have two meals for today, I need to space them out." I asked Robin and she said if you are physically hungry, forget if you've even had all your food for the day already, ANYTIME you are hungry you should eat. So I did and for the past week I've been totally on protocol.

I freaking LOVE sparkling lemonade so I am going to have to try that. Sunkist used to make a sparkling lemonade (granted it was soda) that I looooved but of course they stopped making it.

Bonnie that stew sounds so yummy! Last night since I saw cauliflower is on the protocol, I steamed some then put it through my food processor, added a bit of 98% fat free chicken broth, some salt and pepper, and it was like eating mashed potatoes. Mmmmmm.

i made a mashed cauliflower too. So good. Mine is a little runny so i mix half with half of cabbage and the cauliflower almost is like a creamy sauce on the cabbage. it is amazing. Probably will have that for lunch or dinner today. Yummy in my tummy! haha

So if you eat when you are hungry and Robin says to forget about your allowed foods, does that mean you can eat more than is allowed if you are still hungry? I haven't really been hungry but am just curious.

Luce, may I call you Luce (haha). How are you finding the RX sublingual? what did you use last round and what was your results last time etc? Last Round I did 3 months on hhCG pellets. I think the coating on them (being a little sweet) kept me craving sweet foods and that is why i heavily relied on liquid flavoured stevia. So far, I don't need it. I am taking RX Nasal Spray this round and I think I am feeling better than I did last time.

Lucy, where are you situated? I'm in Mount Gambier, South Australia.

Yep, exactly. Robin says in one of her videos that some people might only need 300 calories on the protocol per day, while other people (I think the more lean ones) can go up to say, 650. She doesn't say "you can eat up to 650 calories" because she doesn't advocate counting calories at all. She's just saying if you eat when you're hungry and find you are still hungry after having all your "allotted" food, go ahead and have something else on protocol. She's very much against people just dealing with hunger and says that if you're physically hungry, you should eat.

For me, once I started really listening to my hunger signals, I found I was getting hungry about 2 hours after waking, not the 4-5 I was aiming for so that my meals would be evenly spaced. Once I started eating when I was hungry, I found everything else fell into place, and I'm no longer ravenous at night.

And of course you can call me Luce!

    Thanks Luce, Good to know!

How have you been feeling this round? Better than round 1???

    What was your start weight?
What is your goal weight? and
    What is your height?

So, you have been exercising as well? How have you found that? I haven't been adding any exercise as of yet but will slowly add some once I shed a few more pounds.

    Hey Luce,

Any idea if we can use the following products:

Psyllium husks (a teaspoon or two a day) to ward of constipation?
    Castor oil on skin??
    Dove (White Cream Bar) Soap?

I have posted questions about the first two (several times for weeks) but can't get an answer .

    Thanks,

    Bon

I am taking 1 tbsp psyllium husk per day to keep me regular. It has ca.17 cal & I am taking it instead of the melba, which I don't eat anyway. It didn't affect me (p2). I m also using the dove soap, bit only to wash my hands... didn't ve the feeling that it caused any damage.
Don't know abt the castor oil.

    Thanks Pensee.

I'm still not sure if I will start using them until I get confirmation from Robin on facebook, so far no answer... I really don't want to deviate at all from WLA protocol.

I am on VLCD 14 too! How funny! I am doing a full 42 day round this time, I want to lose 20lbs and have lost 5 so far (but had a rough first week with cheating at night). I'm with you, as much as I ranted about not weighing, I plan to do it about once a week, but not to reward myself or anything, mainly just to make sure nothing is horribly wrong. I weighed yesterday and I must admit, if it said I hadn't lost a single thing in these 14 days, I would've known something was NOT right. But I am definitely not ever going to weigh myself every single day, ever again. Robin does say in her book and some of her videos that weighing IS okay, just so long as it is not any more than once a week and not used as a reward.

It's funny about the crackers/toast, because Robin says they were completely on protocol, but only to use them as an emergency when you get to a 3 on the hunger scale or below. I've only had to eat them once when I was out somewhere and I got too hungry. And yes I am so glad that she explained how mixing veggies is fine, I love being able to have a salad that isn't just lettuce and chicken, but I can add tomato too - yum! I wish I could get away from using Stevia, but I think that would just leave me with plain water all day and night since I can't drink coffee or tea just plain black.

I think what I am excited most about is when I am off protocol I know I will be fine going to restaurants and living daily life without the constant obsession over how many calories are in something, how many carbs, etc. I'll just eat only when I'm physically hungry, and stop when I'm not hungry anymore. I've noticed this is what my teeny tiny friends do, they'll get salmon or pasta or pizza or whatever, but they'll stop 1/4 to 1/2 of the way through. My one friend might be 105lbs, maybe, and she told me she doesn't watch what she eats at all. This used to annoy me but now I realize she only eats when she's hungry and stops when she's full and now I'm thinking to myself "Oh well no duh, that's why she's thin eating whatever she wants!"

Have you heard of Paul McKenna? He's a British hypnotherapist and he has a program called "I Can Make You Thin." He basically preaches this exact same program, eat what you want only when you're hungry, and stop when you're full. It's just so simple. I really love the hypnotic sessions (the second part) of his CDs as they put you in a mini-trance and train your brain to this exact message. I'm not sure if it's been helping but I've been listening to it once a day for the past week or so.

I am on my VLCP day 9 and have not cheated or deviated once. I weighed myself on the morning on day 5 but won't weigh myself again until after a month on the protocol. Last round I lived and died by the scale and this time I don't want it to affect me mentally. Sure I have my goals and I will be a little disappointed if I don't reach them but I will try and not let it affect me emotionally or sway my resolve to do this round by the letter.

Also, I only eat when I am hungry and only to the point of satiation.

This is technically my second round but I intend to do this round by the book . My last round was a long one last year. I lost almost 20kg/44lbs and about 106cms from my body but I took a break at Christmas with the intention of going back on protocol after a weeks break but couldn't get back on track. So I just ended the round and didn't finish P3 or P4. Instead after 6 months I gained the weight back and was even more miserable then before. I had created food addictions that I didn't have last year. I even did the Virtual Gastric Band Hypnotherapy sessions. They helped a bit but I liked the thought of losing weight faster than that program provided.

My friend emailed me the 'Weight Loss Apocalypse' book and something just clicked and now I am back on protocol. This time I am using RX Nasal Spray as I asked my doctor to write me a prescription and he did, no questions asked.

So, if any one else out there is like me and is following the protocol the Weight Loss Apocalypse way, I'd love to hear from you. Maybe we could start a group.

If you haven't read her book yet, I highly recommend it. Definitely the best book out there on the hCG protocol and brings Dr Simeons' plan to the 21st Century. Also, check out Robin's Vlogs on youtube. Some amazing info and free videos.
