I told ya Cat, didn't I lol . Robin changed my life and the way I think about food. WLA is amazing and I as I read it (or watched her videos on youtube) I kept thinking 'that is me exactly'. Things suddenly clicked into place and it now seems so simple.... I wish I knew all this way back when ......

I'm completely in tears listening to her story because I have been swapping one addiction for the next since I was 13. I remember thinking about killing myself at 13 to get away from the things my step dad would do to me and I've never come to terms with everything I've been through at the hands of the men who have hurt me so deeply! So to hear her talk about her college experience and eating disorder, it really hits home! I have struggled with bulemia and anorexia (almost) since I was about 12. I have a good head on my shoulders now And I have learned to have a normal life with healthy relationships however I have just turned my back on the past and never dealt with it or addressed the impact that all of the traumas I've been through have had on my life. I can see now that although nothing truly defines me I do use my husband to create my happiness. He is too central to my life...it's hard to explain. I mean if he is so much as upset with me I get physically sick and can't eat. I need to deal with all my baggage and get to a place where the past is truly behind me!!

And my head spins. I've spent all day today, and days prior to this every time I get a chance to read and read and read some more. I've been reading here, Kruse, Sisson and Woodall.

My intuition tells me to eat with hunger. Today was p3 first day and I had to eat a protien breakfast, when I normally don't eat until 12 PM or so. I've been so concerned about BAB, or even any protien in the morning because I simply don't like it and I'm not hungry. My problem has always been overeating once I start to eat, and eating WAY too many carbs with fats and sugars. I am prepared to change my eating habits, but which way? Argh!!!!

And, I value Grammy a great deal, so this is not a complaint, but I've seen that she recommends Woodall's book, but now more Kruse, and it's really just throwing me. I am assuming she's changing her mind, and that's ok, we all do, but what the heck should you believe will work BEST in p3?! Goodall says don't worry about eating unless you're are hungry. Most women here, with a lot of personal experience, say that people gain if they don't eat enough calories and fat.

As for today, I'm more inline with Woodall. I"ll wait until I'm hungry to eat, but keep a snack in my car (I work a weird schedule) if I start to get near a 3.5 in hunger scale. When I do eat in p3, it will be protien, fats, and oils with veg.

I guess in p4, it will be low carb/wheat and gluten free (maybe) and eat when hungry. I guess, sigh. Or maybe I'll do Kruse's method of none of that works-lol!

Great to have y'all to chat with!

I don't know about other people but I do know that when I eat a healthy breakfast (I eat when I am hungry) usually around 10am I don't eat as much during the day....that was my route prior to HCG. I was maintaining my weight without effort and eating what I wanted, whatever I wanted when I was hungry. But I wasn't losing at all. So that's why I'm on hcg

All the weight I gained I did by eating when I wasn't hungry during a very unhappy time in my life when I was practicing binge eating.

Kim, I would definitely stick to Robin Woodall's way for a bit; just to see how you feel. IMHO eating when you aren't hungry isn't good for you; especially after learning about leptin and how it makes you fat etc.

Just get used to only eating when you are truly hungry and just enough to take the hunger away. Check out Robin's video on youtube about preparing to go from P2 to P3.

and definitely join Lucy and me on our new WLA forum for people who want to make WLA their way of life (like Luce says above).

yes, but the main thing here to take note of is that you ate when you were hungry! and not just because it was 'breakfast' and society tells you that you have to eat breakfast...
