    breadstick alternative - non wheat

Im new to this forum, just starting round 2.

I lost 13.5 kgs in 33 days last round and have completely changed my eating habits since then.

I have found that wheat does not agree with me at all, yesterday , while loading i went for it and ate biscuits, toasted sandwhiches on wheat and alot of stuff i have not touched since before R1.

I feel so gross today, am totally bloated and have a massive stitch in my intestines.
I know its the wheat and Im looking for an alternative to the breadstick or melba toast.

I know I need these carbs during P2 but I would rather not have the wheat. Has anyone looked into corn or rice cakes as an alternative? Im not sure about the calories and if it would be a good swap, but please let me know if you have discovered or read about anything that can help me.

You don't need the carbs. Many of us don't eat the grissini and don't replace it with anything else. You'll do great!

I hear this a lot. But I get to thinking whether there is a valid dietary reason for the inclusion of the nominal portion of starch, beyond merely appeasing dieters. If the reason for including the Melba or grissini were merely psychological, it occurs to me that the amount of starch allowed (40 calories' worth) isn't enough to satisfy an appetite for carbs. But since the weight loss phase of the protocol is so specifically formulated to its last detail, I can't help thinking that the crackers may perform an actual function. Otherwise, why would Dr. Simeons have included it at all?

I know a couple of people with gluten intolerance who are substituting 2 20-calorie portions of mini rice cakes.
