Thread: Day 6 and I'm STARVING!

  1. #1

Question Day 6 and I'm STARVING!

So, I'm on day 6 of the VLCD. I am starving. Many have told me that I should adjust my dosage of hCG, and I have been for two days with no change. Any tricks or tips to suppress hunger? Can I have Greek yogurt? Its only ingredient is 'Grade A Cultured Milk.' No fat, very low carb. Thanks for your help!

P.S. What are your thoughts on a small amount (1/2 tsp. per day or less) of coconut oil? Some claim that it boosts their weight loss...can you explain that to me? If I could lose more weight while having a scrambled egg on a piece of Melba in the morning, I'd be in heaven! (Wow, I sound really desperate...)

    Anyways, thanks for your help!!

No, yogurt isn't allowed. Some eat coconut oil with no problem but it makes many gain.

What dose are you on? Did you go up or down when you changed it?

I'm on homeopathic sublingual drops, so I just added a few drops more per day, to no avail.

Out of curiosity...why isn't Greek yogurt allowed? I figured since it was made out of zero fat milk (which Dr. S mentions in his protocol for vegetarians) it would be okay.

    Thanks for the help!

Some of the vegetarians use yogurt or cottage cheese but the losses are slow when you do. For best losses you're better off with protein shakes. Probably because of the high sugar content in milk products. Simeon says the losses are about half the normal rate for vegetarians. Back in that time, they had no protein shakes. But if you want to stick to real food and not shakes, you could try them. I didn't realize you were in the vegetarian forum when I saw the post about hunger. I'm always browsing the forum and helping tweak doses to fix hunger.

Usually hunger is from a dose that's too high not too low. Try skipping the rest of the day's drops and see how you feel in the morning. If better, then lower your dose. And also make sure your drops actually list hcg as an ingredient.

The exact ingredients on the bottle read as follows: Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) 12x, 30x, 60x, Purified Water, U.S.P. Alcohol. Is this okay?

Is there a specific brand of protein shake I should buy? This is the first time I've heard that protein shakes are okay!

I will go without my drops for the rest of the day as you suggested. Thanks!

Yes this is okay. Those are legitimate homeopathic drops. There are many fake ones out there now that don't contain anything but amino acids.

Most of the vegetarians use the shakes since you lose better with them. Good luck!

    Thanks!

You can buy them everywhere. Many use Jay Robb.

I was starving until day 8 and then everything finally calmed down. I had to adjust things a little, I eat no fat cottage cheese with strawberries for
breakfast. I'm on VLCD 12 and have lost 9 pounds.

@grammy1952 Thanks! I'll look for that brand.
@Joycebo Hopefully that's what happens for me! I'm still REALLY struggling with cravings and hunger. I haven't cheated...yet.
