Please post your daily vegetarian menu

    Hello,

I am starting on Monday after I force feed myself on banana splits this weekend!

Will you guys please post some of your daily vegetarian menus so we can all get some ideas as to what a vegetarian HCG day looks like.
    TIA

I so far am planning to use pea powder for lunch and dinner along with one veggie and a fruit in a smoothie............

    Hi,
Good luck this week! I also plan to start later this week and I have been a vegetarian for 14 years. I am planning on using quorn cutlets and smoothies for my protein. I really wanted to use the pea powder but the lead warning on the bottle freaked me out. Thinking I will be using Jay Robb instead.

My peapowder did not come yet. I just read up on the lead warning. Thanks for that information! I guess it will be going back!

I will eat egg and egg white today then!

This mroning I had water and green tea so far... and amazingly, I am NOT hungry at all. I only gained 1 pound on my 2 load days. I tried my best to eat as much as possible!

    Good luck to you!

Egg whites, Quorn naked cutlets, fat free cottage cheese, fat free Fage (not often), smart dogs, morningstar farms meal replacement ground beef style, boca burgers, Smart Deli bologna style. This is the 1st round I have added these few soy products and have lost with them- it makes it a lot easier to stick to the program.

What warning??? I just got my pea powder yesterday and I thought I read the label pretty thoroughly, never saw a warning. I will check it out again.

I purchased Now pea protein and there is no lead warning on the container. I tried it for the first time today and it was very gritty, I'm not sure I am going to be able to deal with it. When and if I finish this container I'll get Whey protein next time.
So today was VLCD1 for me, I had protein shake with frozen strawberries and Truvia mixed with water and 4 oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I plan on have cucumber salad for afternoon snack and then tuna salad for dinner, then apple for night snack. I am totaling my calories on Sparkpeople and with this intake for the day I am only at 440 cals so I'm going to have to figure in something else for the day.

i've found some of the vegan protein powders to be a bit gritty. The hemp protein is a little bit too. I really really like the Lifetime Life's Basics, I get the fruit one for me and the unsweetened for my husband. (they have stevia & xylitol for the sweetener--no bad chems) I use it with either the unsweetened vanilla almond or vanilla coconut milk (the kind that comes in a box) cut w/water sometimes. I buy almost all my protein powder at vitacost cause it's less $$ than at Whole Foods and Vitamin Shoppe doesn't carry these.

I also really like this one: http://www.vitacost.com/Rainbow-Ligh...b-Shake-Powder and I use my magic bullet, it comes out super creamy, not at ALL gritty. 15g of rice protein in it. I would much rather use a protein powder that has additional benefits to it, such as greens or other whole foods, the enzyme or probiotic support ingredients keep you regular too. I never had a problem w/bathroom issues when I was on the drops. Next week i'll be starting round 2, and hopefully will see good results. I also do work out at a bootcamp 3x a week and walk on other days, I'lve gone rogue and do about 1000-1200cal/day. I lost about 12 lbs on round 1. I'm ok with that.

I found that if I soak the pea powder in warm water for 5 min it takes the grit away. I didn't want to waste my money but maybe I'll try the Lifetime Basics when this runs out since it doesn't have the bad sweeteners. Most seem to have aspartame for some reason so you really have to read the ingredients. How many carbs are in rice protein?

Looks like it has alot of good stuff, digestive enzymes, green tea, kelp and chromium...i see what you mean. I'll have to give it a try. So are you loading now? I'm on vlcd 4, lost 4lbs that doesn't include my loading wt. I realize it goes slower for vegetarians and I'm not a total vegetarian but I cannot stomach meat twice a day. I usually only do white meat a few times a week. I just bought the Quorn crumbles today, trying them for the first time. It doesn't have any soy and I'm kinda on the fence with soy right now.

Breakfast - Plant Protein Shake w/almond milk and strawberries and a tomato. About 200 calories and 22g protein.

Dinner - Veggie Beef with Garlic Asparagus about 150 calories and 22g protein.

So I am curious. I am not a fruit or cracker person, so do others just increase the meat and veggie options to make each meal closer to 250 twice daily?

You could try putting the fruit in with your protein shake. I never eat the melba or grisini thing.
