    Hi Marie,

That depends on if you're on P2, P3 or P4. Just let me know and I can give you some guidance.

This thread hasn't had any activity in quite some time, but I wanted to post that I'm doing a vegan round (been vegan since 2011). First round I did was in 2010 was as a vegetarian (vegetarian from 2007-2001). This is my first round since 2010 and I will need several rounds to lose weight I put on since grad school. There are plenty of fattening vegan foods (potato chips, nuts, vegan cupcakes, etc.) to snack on when your up late stressing about lit reviews and policy papers.

Just wanted to post something here while I'm also posting in the January Loaders.

So every day is rogue for me, but I won't compromise my values to lose weight. I'm on day 3 of VLCD and I feel great! No hunger whatsoever so I know I've got my dose right. Doing RX injections this time after using hhcg drops my first round. Sources for hhcg have changed quite a bit in the 4 yrs since I did my first round so I decided to try injections. Love the convenience of once a day -- and needles don't freak me out.

Maybe with this post I'll shake a few vegans or vegetarians out of the tree. Would love to connect with anyone that is going rogue in this way.

    Cheers!

Started a vegan HCG round on January 24, 2015

    Hello!
I am happy to see at least one other vegan attempting the HCG diet. I lost 30 pounds 2 years ago and wound up gaining everything back. I have changed my life in dramatic ways including switching to a plant-based diet. I started Phase 1 on Saturday, and Phase 2 (VLCD) today. So far so good. Would love to continue to post here and read successful posts of anyone else doing this at this time.
    Beginning weight - 165
    After loading - 168 - day 1 of VLCD

For my protein, I chose Pea Protein twice a day and raw veggies to go with my protein twice a day. Orange for breakfast and green apple before bed. I also am drinking Yerba Mate tea 3 times a day, coffee, and plenty of water. I am ok with sticking to this specific daily diet for the duration of my round.

    Will post more stats tomorrow.

    Cheers,
    Monica

    Hi Monica!
Nice to connect with someone else doing vegan style. What pea protein specifically are you using?
    Congrats on your big loss!!
I'm on VLCD10, in a mini stall, I'm going to shake it up tomorrow if the scale doesn't move.

Great news is I'm experiencing no hunger whatsoever and I feel great. Yay!

    Hello there!
I was very happy to see your current postings regarding your vegan hcg experience. I too am not hungry or craving anything at all. I am currently taking NutraSumma Pea Protein. 100 cal per serving, 1 g fat, 1 gram carb, 20 g protein. I am so far eating raw veggies with my protein but will eventually add some cooked veggies if I feel the urge for something warm. Good luck shaking up your stall. I'm sure everything will work out just right for you.
Have a great afternoon and I will see you here again tomorrow.

Yay! My mini stall broke this morning with a 1.4# loss. I need to mix up a new batch of HCG tonight. I'm using 2000 IU vials. Everything is going well so far. Have plenty of energy throughout the day for both work and school. Minimizing my social calendar right now so I can focus on being successful with the diet plus I'm taking two grad classes that are keeping me busy, but not manic.

I'm working with a team for our big capstone project and we had a team building potluck/hangout party on Sunday and I didn't cheat. Although there were things there that I LOVE -- guacamole and chips -- I didn't indulge. I brought beer, wine and seltzer and didn't drink any alcohol. That's how serious I'm taking this diet. I'm determined to get to my goal. I've never been this heavy in all my life. And never will be again!!

Hope all is well Monica and maybe we'll see a few more people join in before this round is over.

    Cheers!

I'm really happy for you that your stall is broken! 1.4 - that's awesome! I think that is cool that you mix your own HCG. I am taking the oral drops and they seem to be working fine. I know way back when my mother lost weight using the injections but for me I just can't afford it! I also have energy throughout the day but I do have moments where I feel weak. I am just starting so I know that the weakness will pass. I had hunger pangs last night while trying to fall asleep, but when I woke up there was no hunger! I also know that any hunger I feel will also go away. That was the first time I have felt hungry since beginning. That's funny you mention being manic as I am bipolar. LOL When I switched to a plant-based diet, however, many of my symptoms either disappeared or lessoned. I strongly believe that all the hormones and chemicals only aggravate an already imbalanced brain.

I am having a birthday party here at my home tomorrow night and quite frankly I doubt I will be tempted. I am preparing all vegan dishes and one that I actually will be able to eat. It's a stuffed tomato, stuffing is cooked quinoa and spinach. That will probably be the only time I have quinoa on this diet. I am so serious about losing weight this time that I refuse to cheat. I am like you, very determined! I am not afraid to fail on phase 2, but phase 3 scares the crap out of me. I am still trying to determine what I will be able to add to my diet that is not carb/starch rich. Before the diet, I was on an 80/10/10 eating plan with 80 being the percentage of carbs, 10 being the fat and proteins, so I am a little nervous about getting back to my normal eating. We will see.

Anyway, today is going spendidly so far. I refrained from any type of exercise for the first 2 days, but today I will be taking my 3 dogs on a nice walk.

I lost another pound so I am at 163.0 now. I really need to drop this weight so I hope the scale keeps moving!

    Have a wonderful afternoon~!

Down another pound! No hunger but last night started craving beans and avocado! LOL I stuck it out and I'm glad I did. The walk was great yesterday and I will go for another today, weather permitting. The birthday party is in a couple of hours and I have been cooking all day. I feel strong and determined.

Hope you are doing good as well.

Urggh!! I just wrote a lengthy post and I got an error message. Hate that!!

That's super cool that a plant-based diet gave you such noticeable results/improvements with your symptoms!

Is today your birthday? If so, happy birthday!! Have fun tonight -- my dishes are pretty much always a hit at parties. People are surprised at how delicious and satisfying vegan food can be. I'm kinda craving avocados too -- they're on sale now because of super bowl Sunday. Guac is a popular thing at a party! Can't wait to have it in P3.

I'm cycling so I'll be on P3 for three weeks between rounds. Not too worried about it or P4, when I get there. I think weighing in daily is key to staying aware and seeing when minor adjustments need to be made. Vagueness is a killer for me -- it played a huge part in my getting to my heaviest weight ever.

I lost 1.8lbs this morning. So that's exciting. Started a new batch of HCG today and got my weekly B12/fat burner shot today. Feeling good. I'd like to average 5lbs a week on this round and so far I'm on track.

Have fun tonight! And congrats on dropping another pound. You're on fire!!
