Vegan (rogue) journal starting with P2

    Hi all!
This is my third round of hcg, and second as an active poster in the forum. In 2019, I ate seafood due to the fear that I wouldn't be able to lose without animal proteins. As someone who has been on a strict vegan diet for 11 years now, this was emotionally painful, and honestly, I was so grossed out that I could barely choke down calories through the 30 days.
I am doing this round 100% plant based. If I lose less, so be it.
I stabilized with a 14 pound loss in 2019 (starting weight - 168 and end weight 154). *I did have several tofu and vegan shake days in the mix at the end.
However, my mom had passed away in an unexpected and traumatic way a few months before this round, and it was terrible timing to do the protocol.
I started this current round at 162, and yesterday was my first day of p2. I loaded over the weekend and even though I ate all of the things, didn't gain!
Yesterday, I had air fryer tofu marinated in braggs aminos and cabbage soup with both meals. I also ate a few pickles right before bed (no sugar added). Woke up to a .6 loss this morning, so pretty happy about that!
I plan to eat lots of tofu (sprouted is my first choice but for some reason, it is sold out everywhere at the moment) and beyond meat burger. The latter is completely rogue; it isn't the crumbles and is the 'packaged beef' version. I feel ok with trying this due to pea protein being the main protein source, and the fact there is zero gluten. Also no soy, but my body is so used to tofu at this point, I don't think it would cause an issue. I will bake and pan cook it, then rinse any fats that are visible, since it does have a higher fat content.
I plan to stay with protocol for veggies and fruits, but like last round, I'll allow myself a tiny bit of wine a few days a week.
I'm excited to see how this all plays out!

Yesterday's loss was .6 pounds. Woke up to a 1.8 loss this morning!
Tues- beyond meat and cabbage then tofu and onion soup and melba toast for dinner. Also, had a grapefruit right before bed. I went over calories for the day, but my dog and I went in a giant walk and I also have been cleaning our apt. building for reduced rent. (When unemployed, you do what you gotta do..)
So, it felt necessary to eat a bit more. All I did was add a bit of tofu protein plus the melba with dinner and this satiated my hunger.

Good job on your 1.8 lb wake up loss, Chawna!. That's awesome! Sorry to hear about your mother, I'm sure that was difficult. How long do you plan to be on P2? How much would you like to lose? We are here, and hope the best for you. And absolutely no shame in services for reduced rent! Respect you for willingness to work, hope employment opportunities open up soon. The last year has been difficult for a lot of people! You hang in there, and good luck with your round. I won't be able to give any guidance at all re tofu or vegan protocols, but I'm sure some others are in the know on all that.
