I'm not a complete vegetarian, but I don't like most meats. I'm going to try the Jay Robb isolate vanilla whey protein and see how it works out for me. I'll let you all know!

I just went out and bought my protein powder - found it at GNC!

I mixed about 8 frozen strawberries, a dash of skim milk (I was worried about the potential chalky taste), 1 cup of water, and only half a scoop of the protein powder. It is absolutely delicious! It really does taste like a strawberry milkshake!

I'm so excited about this. I think I'm going to continue the rest of my diet all vegetarian, with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 servings of meat per week.

I ADORE SUNWARRIOR! I just finished a 2.2lb bag (i was doing a different diet - Smoothie Shakedown/fat flash). I just ordered another 2.2lb bag of the natural flavor and I love it! Other plant based protein powders I have tried are chalky and gritty. NOT THIS STUFF. I have been mixing w/ berries (usually strawberries and blueberries), flaxseed oil, chia seeds, cranwater, lemon drop Stevia, frozen spinach. YUM!

I do have vanilla Jay Robb powder, but I am in love w/ the SunWarrior. yes, it's expensive, but worth it. Plus it has a full panel of amino acids. 82 calories per scoop, 17 grams of protein. I am just starting VLCD again, so I will see how my losses are w/ this, I am hoping I'll do well, b/c I do love it so and the smoothies have become a daily ritual.
So I plan on replace one hcg meal w/ a smoothie: 1 scoop of Sunwarrior, 1 cup of frozen strawberries (no probably 1/2 cup because my magic bullet can only hold so much, maybe I should start using unfrozen), 1/2 cup of frozen spinach, Stevia, and as much cold filtered water that can fit. That should definitely keep me full until next meal, and if not, there's also my Melba if needed.

If I remember we CAN mix our fruits w/ our meals/proteins, right? I don't remember Dr. S saying anything about that. I need to go re-read P&I.
