My TOM is being forced out by the doctor with the progesterone pills since after two months, it's about time for it to come. Should be here in a few days. Or so the cramping and weight stall say so.

And ladies, I am telling you. I am MISERABLE

Went to yet another medical practice to get a second opinion; one that specializes in metabolic problems, etc. etc. and they took out EIGHT vials of blood for yet more tests and I get subjected to ultrasounds tomorrow.

On P3 now and it's been difficult not to go overboard because of cravings. I'm still scared to eat too many calories. There's something about VLCDs that I'm terrified to let go of. I only had an apple and peanut butter at work (busy, busy) so for dinner, I had a zucchini bake and almond meal crusted flounder for dinner. I was satisfied but still craving dessert so I made a protein bar with my whey protein and some almond meal, ate some of the batter and now it's sitting in the freezer to set.

I don't even know if we're allowed to eat nuts on P3. But I lost .8 yesterday while snacking on macadamia nuts and almond butter throughout the day. Eh. Too late for regrets today since I just ate a crapload of almonds due to my dinner and protein bar. Lol. I'm a rebellious PMsing woman!

I want to experiment on almond meal, peanut butter flour and coconut flour sugar-free baking. I'll let you ladies know how it goes and which combination of nuts make me gain weight. Lol!

My two cheat days were right before TOM. Something happens and I just lose control, like the Incredible Hulk or something.

Let us know if the doctor's find anything. We all want to make sure you're ok.

I have almond flour, coconut flour and coconut oil all sitting in my pantry waiting for p3. I can't wait. The almond flour and coconut flour smell absolutely delicious. I don't know why I haven't been using them all along.

We just got a dehydrator and I'm excited to try making some chips or something. I'm thinking of doing apples, bananas and cucumbers today. We'll see how it goes.

I also just started a blog that rates and reviews the HCG recipes. A lot of folks seem to want to know which recipes to turn to so hopefully this will help out.

Wait. We can have pork?!? I would love pork if we can have it!

I seem to always lose weight when I eat shrimp. I eat it for at least one protein each day.

Congrats on your weight los BevN! That's a huge loss! I'm down .8 today. That's pretty big for me since the losses are usually .4.

My blog is just starting out so I don't have very many posts but it will slowly grow into something fab with persistence.

I just bought some coconut flour, as well as xylitol. The cheesecake I made was pretty good, I think if I use xylitol instead of stevia it will be even better.
Tomorrow I am going to attempt to use coconut flour for the first time. I will be making apple pancakes using flaxmeal, coconut flour, eggs, milk and apples. I will sprinkle them with xylitol and cinnamon. Hmmm i want to make them NOW!
I've been having a hard time with working 8 hours in a restaurant and finding time to eat at normal times. Usually I'll have time to eat between 9:30 and 11 pm at night.
The chef made me an awesome mui thai curry last night. No sugar no carbs, it was delicious. When I asked him how much cream he used, he grinned and said " ooh, about a cup. " I just about died. I though to myself " defenitely a steak day today" Lo and behold, -.4 on the scale this morning.
    who would of thought.

Almond flour and almond butter overload day result:
    0 pounds lost.
    0 pounds gained.

Evidently, neither good nor bad for weight loss but it was soooooo good going in. Lol!

Do you ladies think low carb whey protein is p3 approved? Because there are awesome recipes out there for low carb stuff made with whey protein. And protein always fills me up so it might make for a good p3 crusader against cheating.

    Also, ladies on P2:

Have you gals tried seafood days?

I always lost the most when I ate fish for one meal and shrimp for the other or fish for both meals.

Maybe it's because the fish has much less fat content than other protein choices?

Haven't tried seafood days, don't really like seafood.

I bough some coconut flour and some xylitol today. I will try out some baking recipes.

    Wow, Bev! Good job!!!

So.... after a long, long quest for a protein snack/bar to help me feel full longer and give me energy, I finally found one I can live with. Or rather, one I actually can't stop eating! Yum!

Anyway, here's the recipe. Thought I would share. James (my fiance) wasn't very excited about it since he's highly allergic to coconut

For those of you who have not discovered the joys of coconut oil and MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oil, you must read Bruce Fife's book on this topic. His works are always backed up by evidence-based research.
    Anyway, the recipe:
2 oz. cream cheese (room temp)

    1 tbsp. almond butter

    1 tbsp. coconut oil

    2 tsp. cream or milk

    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    Mix above ingredients then add:

2 packets Splenda (or other preferred sweetener)

    1 tbsp. coconut flour

1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (I use Jillian Michael's - it's lower in carbs and sweetened with Stevia)

    4 tbps. dried coconut flakes

Mix dry ingredients with wet ingredients. Form into patties and freeze!
If you love coconut, these are addicting!

If you're uncomfortable about using whey in P3; maybe it's a recipe you can use in maintenance
