miserable. Stiff neck is now so bad I cannot lift my arm past my waist. Getting to a lying down position is almost impossibe because it hurts so bad. Getting up is not good either. At least the dogs slept through the night. i've used everything over the counter and done all the exercises on YouTube by chiropractors. I finallly found a massage place with an openning but I told them several times I need someone who can do deep tissue, theraputic massage. I went there years and years ago and the lady just rubbed my back, barely touching me. Weird. That is not a massage! So cross fingers I get someone who knows what they are doing.

I'm up.4 today, but all things considered, that's fine.

    Onward.

PearlyMae, I pray the massage helps!

Last week, I traveled for the first time in 5 years, and spent a ridiculous amount of time in the airports. I dragged my little bag, walked all over, and ended up with stiff sore legs and back due to the hard surfaces. I took lots of Aleve and ibuprofen, and was able to sleep. When I got back home, a hot bath sorted me out.

But OMG, Denver airport security has become a nightmare! I had a 4 hour layover and made the mistake of going to the main terminal - so had to go through security to get back to my gate. Won't do that again!

Thanks Ladies! I was really a mess yesterday. The massage --she did a really good job -- actually made things worse. I went to Urgent Care around 4 pm. Since I have no idea what is causing this, the lady Dr. didn't know what it was either. Probably a muscle spasm, but where? I hurt so many places, it's hard to narrow it down. I swear, the slightest movement in the wrong direction causes a wave of pain from head to foot, like I'm being electrocuted. When it was time to leave, I couldn't get up from my chair and the dr. couldn't figure out how to help me. Finally got to my feet and stood there with my head hanging down sideways until I could catch my breath.

I took the rx over to a close by pharmacy and they said it would take an half hour. I wandered the aisles, waiting, and an HOUR AND 15 MINUTES later, they had it ready. To get into my car, I've learned to push the open door to the barely closed postion because once in, I can't pull it closed. I got home and this strong muscle relaxant had a CHILD PROOF CAP. ARe you kidding me? I spent all that time walking around looking like Igor in Young Frankenstein, and they put a child proof cap on the muslce relaxant?

I took a hammer to it. Problem solved. I was able to sleep last night, propped up with a travel pillow to keep my head from moving, and this morning I can see improvement. I can also tell the stiffness in my neck, back and arm are still there, just tamped down some. But I'll take it.

I am only up .2 which is cra-cra. Makes me think pinched nerve instead of muscle cuz it would seem a muscle spasm would generate enough inflammation to show on the scale. IDK. Just glad it is not as bad as yesterday. I scheduled another massage for Monday and I'll tell her to watch for a muscle knot somewhere in my back instead of concentrating on my neck.

I did comfort myself with a small sleeve of Lindor chocolate and I am not sorry. I deserved it. I could have done worse, I still have the Dominoes app on my phone.

Now, what for breakfast? I usually get groceries on Fridays and did not. I really don't want to cook anything. That leaves plain yogurt but I'm all out of berries. I may be able to stand a hard boiled egg and a tomato. It's not like I want anything particular, I just know I need to eat.

I will put the May thread up late tomorrow.

    ONWARD.

Denver Airport is insane! I've been there when the line to security was all the way down the hall of the shops and out the front door!

    Ooooh, that sounds ouchy!

I had problems with my sciatic nerve a few years back, driving my stick-shift car made me moan with pain every time I had to push on the pedals.

I seem to remember alternating ice and heat, and using Aleve to calm down muscle spasms.

Plus stretches: I still do those periodically, whenever I feel any hip stiffness.

Pearly, I'm sure you've already tried a heating pad but that has been the only thing that has helped when I've pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve in my back/shoulder/neck. Of course, mine also hasn't been so bad that the heating pad didn't fix it so I feel for you! I hope you can rest up and stop the pain!

As for me....decided to do a couple of super clean p3 days, which means no Greek yogurt, fruit, or Lily's chocolate (Intensely Dark is the BEST) and I'm down almost 2 lbs after 2 days....so now to find out which one is the culprit....sad cuz I want to eat all 3 every day. At least I don't have to go back to p2 now...didn't really want to anyway.

Thank you, everybuddy, for your concern, your advice and for letting me vent here. My aches and pains are not exaclty about weight loss, but boy, do they interfere with it! I have used a heating pad, a microwavable pack with beans in it, ice (ok, actually frozen pkg of corn) and bio freeze over and over. Also, stretches, etc. The dr. gave me stretches to prevent this but I'm not to do them until it is a lot better.

As for weight loss, I've been up a little bit most every day all week, so now a whole pound up total (another .4 today) so it certainly does distract from healthy eating. Had popcorn for dinner last night. Cooking was not possible, and I didn't want to hit a drive through or order out. I am better, but not back to normal by a long shot. But I am trying to eat P3 style as cleanly as I can for the next few days. I may not lose, but would like to stop this up up up trend before I get too far.

So, See you all in MAY!

    Onward!
