Many people don't eat a lot of them during P3 and really they are the foundation of a good diet!

I am an avid gardener. My garden is 1000 square feet and includes lots of raised beds. My Mother's Day present was a new water line exclusively for my garden. We are also organic gardeners and my husband is building a new chicken coop for me right now. If I thought I could get away with it, I would get a goat...do you think I could convince the neighbors that it is my pet "dog"? he he he I love Mother Earth News and recommend it to anybody with questions about gardening and a more sustainable planet. It has great ideas!

Today is my last week of P3 (day 14) and I feel great. My weight is a full pound below LDW and slowly going down every day. I think that is okay because I have been doing a lot of reshaping exercises, eating well, and drinking lots of water. I think my body does know what its own set point should be and will get there on its own. I honestly believe this diet helped reset my hypothalamus and metabolism. I am thrilled! Almond butter on apples is like a piece of heaven...just ate it for breakfast!

Well, I am a homeschooling mom, so I better go do that! Hope everyone has a great day!

Next week, I am returning to training for my first 10K.
Thanks for the tip. I love my veggies thank goodness and hope nuts are ok. Watching my garden is very exciting. That is a lot of raised beds. Someone recently gave me the magazine Mary Jane's Farm. It had a whole section about raising your own chickens. A goat? I don't know.

I thought I read we weren't supposed to start exercising until P4 (I like to do weights/ cardio circuits)?

Hello All! I posted this question on another thread too but I thought I'd see if any of you have this same issue or if not some suggestions.

I am on R1P3D10 and started TOM yesterday and woke up 4 lbs under my LIW today. I am eating enough calories and I have added in cheese, ricotta cheese, more veggies, olive & coconut oils, nuts, hummus, egg yolks & greek yogurt.

I am just concerned because I know you are not supposed to lose more than 2lbs from LIW. What can I be doing wrong?

Also when I was on TOM during P2 I had high losses as well. Any ideas? Should I be concerned? If I were not on HCG I'd be thrilled but right now Im just confused.

Thanks in advance for any help

    Hey all!

Busy day today so trying to check in real quick. Read all the comments though. I tell ya, our bodies are such magnificent complicated things. It's amazing but talk about frustrating! So hard to know which is causing what exactly. The guessing can get irritating. Sounds like everyone's handling it pretty well today though. Those who had good weight, congrats. Those who had gains...thank goodness we can figure out how to fix it.

I woke up .02 over my LDW so I lost .06 ounces. Who knows how or why, lol. I have been keeping a food diary. Gues I'm gonna have to break down & enter it into an online site so maybe I an figure out what it all means. I hate counting calories & figuring up how much fats, carbs etc I'm eating. But I guess it may be necessary for a few days.

Check back in later. Hope you guys are having a lovely day!
    Blessings!
    Jen

    Hello all,

I just discovered this wonderful thread. So much useful information. So many wonderful women. So much success!

I'll be on p3 about a week and a half longer. In r1p2 I shed 20 pounds in 29 days. I'm down 3 pounds from from ldw, but I'm not sure if it's a problem as my ldw just happened to be the third day of a stall. Typically in p2 I would stall 3-4 days and then go down 1-2 pounds. I went down 2 pounds right away and then a third. It's curious to me because I've been eating a lot, mostly low carb, but I've also had 1-2 apples every day and some strawberries. Tons of cheese and dairy. I also got TOM at the end of the first week. I keep expecting to wake up to a huge gain. So I don't know how I lost. Maybe it's the TOM water loss. It's also possible that my scale is acting up. I really don't trust it, even if the numbers are going in the right direction! I suppose I should buy a new scale...In any case, I choose to be happy about the loss, and I'll try to not lose any more.

I've ordered the supplements that Julie and others recommend. I haven't ventured into any desserts, as I'm pretty sure I'm sensitive to sweeteners. This diet has helped me break a nasty diet coke habit. Aside from the horrible diet coke, I eat almost entirely organic, so that really had to go! But I have to admit that cocoa crack sounds great. Maybe once I feel really stable...

I forgot to buy coconut oil, coconut flour, and almond flour today at the store. My kids are home on break and started acting up, and I decided to hightail it for the door. I'm feeling stressed (what with the kids being home 2 weeks and all!), and I really want wine. I did have a glass at a restaurant, but I'm afraid if I open a bottle that I won't stop at one glass. Have any of you had wine?

Thanks again for this wonderful thread. I can't wait to read your updates.

Oh yeah, would be sad if its the cheese. I love cheese. But Sunshine is probably right its the sodium....at least I'm hoping. Fage day sounds like a good alternative for you!

Man, I'm not sure. I never lose weight on TOM always lots of gain. I would ride it out for now and see where you are when TOM is over. Then re-evaluate.

Welcome! Sounds like you have a good hold on things. I've heard others have had wine on p3, none for me. I don't want to risk it. But I've heard red wine ( a glass) is ok but stay away from white wine (or is it the other way around...anyone else heard this?).

Oh and go buy a new scale! Really need a scale you can depend on, its worth the investment

Hey P3'rs hope everyone is doing well....last time I was on here I was feeling awful but Im doing well now. Eating dairy, eggs, chicken with skin...lol without problems. I have been staying about 1.8 lbs below my ldw I am not complaining. One thing I didnt want to do was become obsessive on this diet...because this shouldnt be just a diet but a new way of life. I am very conscious now of what I put in my body but if I am hungry I eat. I also notice that when I drink more water throughout the day I either am more stabilized weight wise or I will lose a little. Hope all is well with everyone and hope you all stabilize well

Sounds like you are lucky to me I wouldn't worry unless it gets to be an ongoing thing.

I hate entering it too, especially because alot of the sights have pre set amounts and makes it difficult to make it correct.

Yeah, I am trying to drink a ton of water..Doing a steak day today..I made it back to within 2 pounds of LIW today, but want to nip it in the bud, and see if I can stay down, and actually eat.

Started at 179 (5'3") June 5th 2010. Lost 40 pounds eating no sugar, flour, wheat, rice, or dairy, and eating 2 times a day breakfast and lunch. Stalled at 138 for 4 months then decided to do HCG.

Jamees, how many days have you been on P3? Did you drop any weight after your last dose or injection? Are you more than 2# above your stabilization weight?

Yesterday I did have a lot of sodium, but I also had a lot of water and pee'd pretty much all day. Also was up three times for BM thanks to smoothaway tea (the only way I can have a BM in this diet..and I do take probiotic, a good one, and a digestive enzyme). I thought I'd be back to LDW after that not over

Yesterday I introduced cheese....BUT I was still hungry and went to mac nuts at the end of the day. Could have been either or just time to gain (or that salt, I suppose..probably the nuts).

I did have have a net carb of 21.7, try to stay under 20 but should be ok. Calories were 1728, the most since I started p3...and sodium was off the charts (especially since I made chicken thighs drenched in franks red hot and butter for a chicken wing taste).

I have a big NY Strip defrosting; my steak day should get me down. I'll avoid nuts and re-introduce cheese tomorrow and the next day to see if it was the cheese or not. Crossing my fingers.
Good luck with your steak day!

I have had some wine, and it hasn't hurt me worse than the restaurant food I had ovet the past couple of days, as I was on a road trip.

As for coconut oil, almond flour, coconut flour, they aren't NEEDS on P3. I am not using any of them. I eat meats, veggies, eggs, drink coffee with cream, have some cheese, and rare fruit. The more "real" my food is, the happier I am.

Bah. Too many rules. Who has time to keep track of all that?

AFM, I just came home from a road trip. Yesterday, I was 1.6 above LDW, from eating restaurant food twice in a row, not having enough FOOD, and drinking wine twice in a day (once IN PLACE OF dinner). I was a bit hungry, but didn't want to eat crap that would make me gain more on the way home, so I decided I would survive on coffee and cream from highway Starbucks (I-95 between Baltimore and NYC) if I didn't find anything suitable. Fortunately, the rest stop in Maryland had hard boiled eggs, real cheddar (Cracker Barrel) in one-ounce packages, packets of mayonnaise, and Starbucks with heavy cream. I was able to put together a breakfast pretty equivalent to a cheese omelet made at home, except that the fat was mayonnaise instead of butter.

As soon as I got home, I fired up the grill and cooked a HUGE dry-aged ribeye and had that with a salad. Happy tummy. Hope to drop back to LDW in the next couple of days.
Started my HCG journey on March 16, 2011

Just for the record, no part of this journey is for the weak.

glad you are home and eating your own cooking again carolina..I bet it feels good after all the restaurant food..

I just finished my steak and apple, and feel so very good. I was hungry all day, and was literally counting down to 4:30..I eat early I eat breakfast at 8 lunch at 11:30 and dinner at 4:30.. I had a t- bone, because it was on sale. Should have probably had a rib eye the t bone felt really fatty. Hopefully I see a drop tomorrow.
