    today day 5 p3. 147.0. up a bit. yesterday was a workout unloading my truck early morning as my helper had flat tire and no spare. he was able to help me at end of day reload and tear down but i’m feeling my muscles burn today. i’m weighing every couple of days to make sure i stay in range on p3. so far .2 under LIW but would prefer that be a 2 with no dot in front. today after church we pick up Jamaican food so going to try their jerk chicken hoping no sugar in their spice or very minimal. Wed morning will be the end of week 1 so that’s prob a better gauge as to how i’m doing.Pearly sounds like you are on a sweet roll ( no pun) staying solid for 4 months in p4. that’s a super win!

    Thank you, Rose. I need to see it as solid as it feels a little uppy downy to me, but I need to remind myself that IS solid as long as it has matching downies! Thank you for giving me perspective.

    I am down .6 today, so back where I was on Thursday. Still above my sweet spot, but like Rose, I have a few stiff joints that came from lifting and carrying, so I should not panic. I ALWAYS panic when I go up but will try not to.

    I tried a different 'tupperware' to make my 'bread' today and it was not a great success. I tried to slice the 'normal' way and got one too thick and one two thin. Toasting was not pretty. I liked the thicker one better. I usually try not to eat this two days in a row, but I had to see if I could recreate it

    My 'boss' is back in town tomorrow from being overseas. Let the battle begin!

    Thanks for the input to my last concerns. You really helped me figure things out.
    Here is a new question.
    CAN I STAGGER MY FOOD INTAKE THROUGHOUT THE DAY? Has anyone done this?
    WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS�� I spent the first 2 days of P2 passing a kidney stone. Needless to say, eating has been an issue and I’m very well aware that adequate food intake is vital to success. I still haven’t been able to get enough needed……so maybe I could stagger my food.
    What do you all think?

    Yes, you can arrange the P2 meals however you wish. You just can't eat both portions for the day at one meal.

    I usually have a protein and veggie for two of my meals, and the other two I consider snacks..... a fruit and a rye cracker (with the same macros as a melba toast). You can split it differently as you wish.

    no change 147.0 p3. no change is ok during p3 so no complaints. had Jamaican jerk chicken with cabbage. the cabbage had specs of corn snd carrots but i don’t think enough to affect starches .

    Welcome Trinket! You've come to the right place for the best support ever!! These ladies are lovely and all willing to provide excellent advice.

    I am officially 10 days into P4 and still holding steady 2# below LDW. Been slowly incorporating new foods, but still scared to go too far.

    Doing good with nuts and dairy, which makes me happy!!

    Hope everyone else is doing well and we all get through this eclipse!! I'm right in the path!

    Congrats on P4 SimplySlim, and glad you can enjoy nuts and dairy. We didn't notice the eclipse much here in Calgary AB. I didn't have glasses so I didn't look either.

    Sorry about the kidney stones trinket. What a time to have that going on.

    Your doing good PearlyMae, love reading about you trying out different recipes. Hope all goes well with your Boss today.

    Not much news here. Just working and trying to maintain. Doing good so far. I guess I am 3 months now P4.

    Thanks for tip on Essentrics Classical Stretch workout Leez. I see on Youtube, there are quite a few different videos depending upon your age by Miranda Esmond-White.

    Hope everyone else is having a good day
    Maybe I will try that first and work my way back into things.

    There is an Essentrics TV that you can buy a subscription for and use whatever series of her videos fits your needs. I would use the free YouTube videos if I could project them on my TV. I need a big screen to be able to see what she is doing. My TV is on local antennae, so I would have to figure out how to use some device to mirror or cast the videos to my non-smart TV. But that seems like a lot of fiddling around I'd have to do and knowing me, by the time I picked out a video and then did all the button pushing to get it on the screen, I would have lost the urge to do it. ^_^ So just having it pop up when I turn the TV on is way better for me. And Miranda can pick my video for me. Its also good that I can't put off doing it. I either do it at 10am, or wait till the next day.

    I got my session in today, and I'm just amazed at how much freer my hips were moving afterward. Its funny though.... Im looking at her doing the lateral leg lift movement with her leg almost even with her hip and feeling like I'm doing the same thing, and then I look down and realize my leg is literally 4 inches above the floor. O well, lots of room for improvement!

    P4 Month 4

    Ooops.

    Yesterday was a terrible horrible very bad day. Ha. Nothing bad happened, so that is a little over the top. I just felt lousy. Woke up with a headache and ached all over, especially my back. Took my nephew to a video editing class at the arts center and the fumes from a painting project outside just about did me in.

    I had some plain yogurt and blue berries for breakfast that held me for about 20 minutes. By the time I got to arts center at 9 I was already starving. My nephew drank my Diet Coke.

    He wanted to go to Micky D's for lunch and I was all in. STARV ING. I ate the beef, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes feeling pretty virtuous throwing away the buns, but raided his French fries more than my usual 'just 2.' Got a cup of coffee there that was really strong, hoping it would push away the feeling of being off center from my body.

    Came home and I needed to work but my head was screaming and my back didn't want to bend. So I drank a huge glass of water and took a 10 minute nap. It was going to be a 30 minute nap, but between dogs wanting out and emails dinging... got 10 minutes. Also took half of a muscle relaxer that gave me a small amount of relief on my stiffness.

    That's when I ate the rest of a package of white chocolate chips from the back of the pantry.

    I got through the rest of the day --made a 'pizza bowl' from a recipe on line but it was more like a bowl of spaghetti sauce with some cheese in it.. It looked awesome but not very good.

    Today I am above my LIW and that is somewhere around a 1.4 gain. I am still tired after a good night's sleep but I think I am better. I am wearing jeans I wore two days ago at 2.2 pounds lower, so it is some sort of inflammation, yes much of it carb sensitivity.

    When I am tired or I am not feeling well, I DON'T CARE. Protocol goes out the window. I know this about myself but that perfect storm hits, well, I don't care. I think I said that already.

    Honestly, part of the problem was that I was eating very lightly the past three or four days trying to get back down to my 3 under and I think I was sort of starving. Closer to P2 than P4 so my body rebelled and said FEED ME. I will try to find a conservative balance.

    The boss emailed that they were staying in Italy for another week after the conference. Of course she knew that before she left so weird that she never told me. More fun for me.

    147.2 so just at liw this morning. tomorrow will be end of week 1 P3 so while nothing much going on i always am hoping to go down a little in P3. so far that hasn’t happened. however i normally don’t eat low carb snacks till P4 but this time i am. eating 1250 to 1500 cal daily. guess the good news is im still at liw

    Sorry your feeling lousy today Pearly. Hope you get feeling better.

    I keep saying I need to get some meal prep done, just haven't done it yet. I did cook up some homemade burgers and beef sausage the other day on the BBQ, so that was good. It's not so much my protein , but my sides that I want to work on. I have some meal plans wrote up, just need to get the ingredients etc and make them.

    I hear you Leez, having it scheduled on the TV is good, saves you the headache of trying to get it on the TV from your computer.

    My new laptop is good that way, that I just have to plug in the HDMI and its on my TV. I don't even have to go to settings like I used to. So I did her set today on YouTube. I do like it. Such a nice change of working out.

    Weather is nice again today. Starting to feel like spring.

    PearlyMae, I'm sorry you have been feeling stiff and sore. Didn't you mention doing lifting and carrying a couple of days ago? I find it takes me longer to recover than I used to, and I retain inflammation longer too.
    I'm in my 50% load week so I'm standing on two feet! Woo hoo! My left foot is still swollen and stiff, so I'm not yet ready to actually walk. I started using my Knee Roller on the other leg, to start pushing with the left leg and foot. Onward!
