So the younger one gets 3 and the older 4 kisses soon to be 5 kisses................... I figure by the time it gets to be excess # of kisses they wont want kisses any more At least not from me he he

And I have nothing but good news. My new elimination diet is working really well. Vitamins were fine, although I've had a headache since starting them back up. I left out the spleen detox today and feel better. I only had a few more days of it, so if that's causing the headaches, I might just stop.

I now have a list of 6 possible suspects on my list. One, some, or all of them were causing me to gain. I WILL get to the bottom of it! (you know me, when I get determined...LOL!)

Anyway, Without the problem foods, I've been eating tons, getting an obscene amount of protein, drinking my water, keeping my carbs below 20, and LOSING!!! Holy smokes, I'm 2 solid pounds below LIW!

Do you subtract fiber from the total carbs? If not, you should...

I got a MyFitnessPal app on my phone and set up an account. I bought a little digital kitchen scale. I logged EVERYTHING carefully for a few days. Now I just eyeball the meat, but carefully measure anything with a hint of carb.

I looked up lowest carb veggies. I like this list:
    http://kitchen-parade-veggieventure....egetables.html

I went shopping for the lowest ones. I got endive, chard, asparagus this week. More than once, I have run out of my carb allowance and had to have a big endive and tuna salad for lunch/dinner!

A tweaked my crack recipe to lower the carbs so I could still have it. I measure out my glass of wine to make sure I don't have more than I think.

I log them all and subtract fiber from my total carbs. I watch my carb totals all day long and make sure I don't go over 20.

I drink lots of water. If I'm still hungry, I eat more meat.

My next step is to see how I do at 20-25 carbs. I had 21 yesterday.

Fantastic Janeen............. So Do Tell what are the 6 Bad Guys???????
Well, I don't know yet if they are all bad. I just eliminated 6 things plus my vitamins and my weight immediately dropped by 2 lbs and has continued dropping by about a pound every 2-3 days. I didn't change anything else (except drinking more water) and my total calories are about the same, so I figured the culprit(s) must be in that list. Here they are:

    Aspartame (diet coke, gum)
Sugar alcohols except erythritol (sugarfree chocolates, Werther's)
    Eggs
    Cheese
    Cream
    Sour cream

Once I see if I can handle 25 carbs, I'll systematically isolate and test these, starting with HWC. I lasered it last night, and plan to try it on Thursday or Friday.

I hope I get cream and sour cream back. I'd like to get cheese - at least goat cheese - but don't expect I will. I'm not even trying cow cheese or yogurt. No Greek yogurt!

I probably shouldn't bother with aspartame -- that stuff is nasty. It would be nice to have a stick of gum now and then, though.

It would also be nice to be able to eat sugarfree chocolates, Werther's, but I can live without those.

I think the only things that would represent a big change would be the HWC and sour cream. Fingers crossed.

I have done a lot of thinking and a fair amount of research on this. At one point, I even posted that it was my plan to do exactly this, but I have backed off from that.

Those folks have lost up to 10 lbs with successive/pre-emptive steak days. Most don't seem to maintain the loss well. I read about one woman who did, though.

The primal guys over at MDA love intermittent fasting (IF), which is what a steak day is and do very well with it.

Dr Kruze (leptin reset) has a theory that IF works well for someone whose metabolism is functioning well and who is naturally at a healthy-ish weight, but only causes more problems for someone who is overweight. I have a theory that it might also not work well for those "recovering" from hcg. Don't get me wrong - I love hcg and it works. It is quite harsh, though, and most people using it were overweight to begin with, so it stands to reason someone near normal weight due to hcg might be in a different category than someone who was just naturally normal weight. I'm sure which category *I* fall under, though.

The people who really swear by IF have made it their lifestyles, and use it anywhere from once a week to several times a week to nearly every day. Really!

Now, I don't like steak days, but I do them if I need to. I would be willing to do them once a week for several weeks to get 10 lbs off, but only if I felt confident I could maintain it. I am not willing to make them my lifestyle.

What is working for me right now is being very Low carb. the weight is dropping off, and i have NOT cut calories. It is too soon to know how much I will lose or how well I'll be able to maintain it. The first round i ever did (about 20 months ago) I stayed very low carb after P3 and lost about 7 more pounds before my maintenance was interrupted. This did not happen either of the last 2 rounds. We'll see.

    AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!
A solid week of losses and I was so sure I had it all figured out, I even posted about it. This morning, I am up 2.2! Happily, that doesn't put me at a steak day, but still.

So yesterday I poked my toe at upping my carbs. I had 21! Same kinds of foods, same calories, same protein.

BUT - I realized last night I didn't get all my water in. AND TOM surprised me by showing up this morning - 2 weeks early! OK, so I did just turn 51. Things might be starting to change. At any rate, I cannot control TOM.

So today, I am back to 19 carbs and will make sure I get all my water. Then I'll start again.

I wonder if I'll ever be able to just eat again?

I gigged a little about the 21 carbs.

I have found that not all cheese are equal. I am good with white cheese, but when I have orange cheeses, I generally see a gain. Not so much now that I'm 3+ weeks past P3, but definitely during P3, which is where you're living these days, right?

So, is your plan to add back in one of these items at a time and wait a few days between to see how they affect you? If so, I would start with the dairy and then go to the sugars (if you are adding them back at all...)

I think it is great that you have put yourself on track. I know you have been working really hard at this for how long - 3+ months??? You are AMAZING!!!!!! Your determination is inspiring.

WOW Janeen I am so impressed As Fatty said your determination is very inspiring.... I agree on trying to get back the HWC and sour cream and in a bit eggs........... the Aspartame I would shun forever
BUT I know I am alergic to it as it makes my lips and tongue numb if I consume it........ went to dinner at a friends years ago and had Jello and my lips and tongue swelled and got so numb for so long so
I know it is evil for me.I did not realize till after the fact that it was diet jello ugh .. I still want to try to add back cottage cheese as I have no problems with HWC or sour cream so it sorta mystifises me about the cottage cheese.????

ON other note yes I will discuss when March 29th gets closer about the location of Sierah studio with my son he delivers Olive oil to the Dallas / DFW / Fort Worth area often so I am sure we can
enter Sierah Studio location into his GPS and will find it no problem WILL be a blast to see u all
