Confused. Stalling, no cheating, but never felt better on HCG

I am at a total loss here. I have done Rx HCG successfully for the last 5 years, with each 23 day round losing approximately 10-15 pounds. Because my weight has crept up due to age (I'm 36) and hormones (low progesterone) and it's become harder to lose without HCG.

I did a 6 week round back in September and successfully lost a good 15 pounds. Unfortunately the weight cam back, and this time I started my round on April 23rd at my highest weight, 149 pounds. I had no choice but to start during my TOM, so I started with a lot of excess water weight (I usually gain 5 lbs during my TOM).

My starting weight during my first VLCD was 143 lbs and what's fascinating about this, is that I have no hunger and I have more energy then I ever have had before on any previous round. My losses and stalls look like this:

Day 1 of VLCD: 149 (first day of my TOM)
    day 2: 143.6
    143.4
    141
    139.8
    139.8
    139.8
    139.8
    139.8 (apple day)
    139.2
    137.2
    138.2.

The only supplements I take are probiotics and tumeric capsules.

I have not cheated at all, and have had no desire to. My cravings are in check, and I can't understand why my losses are so tiny compared to what I am used to. I got my blood work done on Thursday so there might be some clues there, I should find out the results by Monday.

My fear is that HCG is losing it's effect on me, which would be terrible. Any thoughts??

But you've lost almost 11 pounds in 11 days so that's a fabulous average! Your apple day likely hurt you more than helped you. Those really don't do much as you can see. Things actually looke just fine. I wouldn't call those tiny losses. Every round is different too but you just look at your averages.

When I was younger and did my first round of HCG, I also had low progesterone and high estrogen which caused my weight to keep rebounding. My GYN (a woman who had originally introduced me to the HCG diet) took my labs then prescribed natural progesterone Prometrium capsules 1- 200 mg at night to get my level back up. Those capsules were the best thing that ever happened to me. I slept like a baby every night, and also easily maintained my weight for quite a while.

if you know your progesterone level is low, have you been prescribed or recommended anything to fix the problem for you?

When I have a stall, I take measurements. You usually see those shrinking which is encouraging!

Thank you for this. No, nothing prescribed as I am not trying to conceive right now. Does that matter? I'll talk to my doctor and see what she says about Prometrium.

Yes I agree with this!!! So many factors can change rate of weight loss but like grammy said, 11 pounds is awesome for 11 days. Fat loss shows alot more in inches than scale weight.

Honey No - lol! Progesterone isn't just for conception, it provides so many good benefits to your body. I had a hysterectomy in my mid-30s but kept my ovaries. My hormone levels were fine for a few years after that, but then my progesterone plummeted in my mid 40s to a level less than zero, yet my estrogen was super high in comparison. Prometrium helped level off some of the estrogen.
