Thread: Anyone doing a round in June?

I've not done a planned interruption but I know many on here have so hopefully someone will come in and answer you. Lynne thanks for the bread tips. Thing is I like bread that tastes like bread so Im gonna have to find a recipe that does that. I will try the herb bread. I seem to remember making it before but it came out pants. Get this: today I haven't eaten at all and I'm just not hungry. Go figure!!

Good luck to everyone who will be traveling!

Food pushers are the hardest to deal with, my Grandma is a food pusher. I couldn't imagine going to her house right now!

I've been 197.8 for 3 days in a row now, urg! Hopefully those inches are coming off I think I finally figured out my happy dose, 115 IU. I asked for help in another thread and that's what was suggested after my skip day...so happy to report that the thought of eating food is absolutely repulsive right now!!! I managed to choke down some salad with only lettuce and walden farms dressing on it, I usually add chicken but I don't think I would hve been able to make myself eat it. I knew I had to at least eat something tho, I was tarting to get shaky (I'm hypoglycemic).

If you are still hungry, I really suggest a skip day! I was so hesitant to do it, I didn't want to gain. I didn't gain tho, stayed the exact same.

    Hope everyone is doig well!

It would mean I have to start weaning myself off the drops Monday or Tuesday at the latest. I'm a little freaked about that. ....and trying to weigh myself daily will be another challenge. I will have to hide a scale in the car and go out every morning. LOL
I have done it. You stop injections and eat low carb (you will pack back on the pounds if you don't). The PI needs to be for at least 3 days off otherwise it's really not a PI. Once you get back, start injecting and go back to VLCD. If it's longer than 7 days you may want to do a mini load the day prior concentrating on FATS NOT SUGAR.

My herb bread came out similar to real bread, just a little flat, lol. There are alot of recipes on the Tropical Traditions (coconut) website. The low carb tortillas I get are whole wheat, and they taste better than the white ones. "it came out pants"? I'll assume that means "not good", I had the same experience yesterday, where I was busy all day and didn't get around to eating until around 7 pm. I just was not hungry, and it was great. But today I ate lunch around noon, and now I want to eat more and more. Maybe I missed a dose of drops yesterday, but I don't think that would be the cause. I think eating just makes me want to eat more. I used to love it when I had no appetite in P2. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I'm happy for you!

Krista, sorry you are up, but it sounds like you have a plan. I weighed myself but refuse to admit how much I am up today. I hope it is water and is gone tomorrow.

I think doing something active sounds like a great idea. Think of yourself as a lean young spud who perches on the edge of the couch raring to go, (not an old baker, full of eyes, that has sunken into the cushions), and get going, girl! Just think, the more you exercise, the more you get to eat. The exercise helps your blood sugar not go toward diabetes, because it uses up the stored glycogen, making way for new glycogen storages, so your body won't keep producing more insulin, trying to store the glycogen. if you exercise a little every day you will be able to eat more. And if you get a real work out every day, you will be able to eat whatever you want, and no more dieting. You also get endorphins that will make you feel good, and help keep you motivated to exercise.

Myself, I am trying to get back to more exercising by moving a little everyday, and build up from there. Today at 8:00 am, it is 81 degrees in the shade and pretty humid so it is not a great day to exercise outside. I think I'll ride the exercise bike (in the AC) this morning, then if it's nice out this evening I'll take the bike out. Have a great activity day!

    Love the spud talk. LOL

Down 0.8 today. Today is the day I'm weaning off the hcg so I can go on the food pushing holiday later this week. I won't lie...I'm kinda excited about my menu options to break up some of the monotony. Wish me luck! LOL I know water is still going to be my best friend, along with my Watermelon stevia.

Not much to report...I've been at the same weight for 3 days now. I think I might have to do an apple day tomorrow if the scale doesn't move. I have no clue why it stalled I hope to see at least a pound gone tomorrow. I only have about 10 days left and I really wanted to get another 5 lbs off before it ends.

I'm having a lot of headaches - almost to the point of a migraine - over the last couple of days. I know TOM is right around the corner and I'm already PMSing pretty bad - tired & irritable. Maybe that's the reason for the stall? I didn't think about it because I'm not due for TOM until the 5th. Maybe HCG is messing with my cycle a bit.

I hope you all are doing well and seeing some losses this weekend

Joneesy, I was just struck with a headache the size of Texas! It started out with some funky fuzzy peripheral vision (only happened one other time, I swore I was having a stroke, then discovered it's an aura for a migraine). Blood pressure and blood sugars were fine, though blood sugar was dropping a bit. I panicked...this hasn't happened in over 10 years. I ate 1 oz of walnuts...won't know if I'll regret it or not, but I was just afraid of my blood sugar dropping to a point where I'd need sugar.

Wonder if it's my TOM. HCG messes with my cycle and it becomes completely unpredictable. Going to lie down now...headache still lingering. Hope you feel better soon!

Good luck with your PI. Watermelon stevia seems so appropriate for 4th of July. I've been cheating so much, so hopefully I can stay on the program for the 4th.

I agree hcg messes with my cycle too, but I can't put my finger on what it does. But of course if you retain water it will seem like you are not losing, but you likely are. Hopefully you will be down 3 lbs from water retention. Good luck.

AFM: I went to see the movie "The Heat" this afternoon, so that helped me to skip lunch. Made crock pot pork roast for the family, so I did pick at that a little just now, but didn't go crazy on it by any means. Planning to cook a burger, a cucumber, and strawberries for dinner. See you tomorrow!

Repurposed the remainder of the pickle juice from a jar of pickles this evening. Shredded some cabbage and an chopped an onion and soaked it in the juice...then made my 100g of pork loin as per usual. The homemade sauerkraut was awesome! This was rounded out by an apple cut into julienne strips. YUM!

Happy Sunday evening, everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!

Sleepy, good idea repurposing the pickle juice. I sprinkled my cukes with ACV, water, salt, pepper, stevia, garlic powder, and let them sit for 15 minutes or so before eating. Glad to hear you are eating pork and it is working for you. I picked at some pork yesterday, and was thinking how pork is so much leaner these days than it was in Dr Simeone's time, so maybe it would work.

AFM: I had gained 5 lbs from my cheat, and dropped 4 lbs since yesterday, so I have one lb to lose to get past that cheat. Hopefully that will come off today.

Krista: I waited until evening to eat, yesterday, and it seems to be a good option. Today I am going to go off protocol and have coffee with coconut oi. I'm thinking going all day without eating is not a good idea for everyday, but the CO doesn't trigger a blood sugar response, and is at least a food. I'll let you know how it works. Good luck to you.
