    Don't give up!

I know that David has posted some great suggestions earlier in the thread about this. I just can't recall exactly what it was. LOL. Are you drinking enough water or getting enough sleep?

I never knew that Dollia--it makes perfect sense. I haven't read "pounds and inches" but I guess that's why the book is named as such. I agree not to tinker with the diet too much. I was just saying it's good to explore other HCG foods on the diet because I know I, and others, will get in a rut and eat the same thing over and over when we really need to eat from the ENTIRE list of foods (per the diet instructions) for nutritional variety and to avoid boredom, which leads to cheating.

My tinkering is to eat beef sparingly and a little less fruit. Having said that, I ate beef tonight for the first time on phase 2. It was fantastic. I bought 95% lean and steamed it a strainer over a pot. The remaining fat drips into the water and it comes out nice and juicy because of the steam. I ate it with some lightly steamed onions, ground mustard and red hot. Best. meal. ever. lol

For stalls, the best advice is to tough it out. Review the diet plan and make sure you're doing it all correctly, like: using the right cosmetics, drinking enough water, getting enough fiber/use smooth move, weigh your food and count the calories, get moderate exercise (1 hour walk per day). Too much HCG is as bad as not enough and likewise too little calories (under 500) is bad too.

I was tentatively planning to be on maintenance for the next 6 weeks which would take me through the holidays and than start Round 2 Jan. 1.... I would love to get in another round before Jan. 1 so am wondering if a better plan is Round 1 21 or maybe 30 days and than only 3 weeks of Maintenance than Load on Thanksgiving as you are thinking Doila and get a round in before Christmas? Is that doable or considered not part of the protocol. I also have about 60-70 more pounds to lose.
    Hi Tracy,

I plan to do 21 days of Phase 3, which is what I did before. I stablized really well on my first round. I did about 3 weeks of Phase 4, which is really just going back to eating "normally". That's the recommended timeline. At the end of Phase 4 is where I had my gains but that was purely my own fault. I had some personal issues going on and fell off the wagon pretty hard. In fact, I was surprised I didn't gain MORE. I think if you do Phase 2 correctly and get the right amount of HCG, you can stabilize fine. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do this time. For me I like to plan the time I do Phase 2 so that there's no major conflicts like vacations, holidays, or other events that make it difficult. For women starting soon after TOM seems to help. Subsequently I might just wait until Jan 1 to start my next round.

I'll probably need at least two more rounds. I think it will take me a whole year to get to the weight I really want. In the beginning that's a daunting task but just focus on the week ahead and don't worry about it now. You can certainly loose weight between rounds by the way--just eat healthy and get exercise!

hello everyone... Congrats to everyone on their successes and on staying the course!!!

Yesterday I was dealing with a lot of STRESS I wanted soup so bad. My comfort food. Don't hate me...I went Panera bread and had a bowl of their low fat all veggie soup(150 cal). Not the creamy soup I normally get but it was SOUP. green tea as my beverage and an orange. And the scales didn't spank me this morning. I had a .6 lb loss.

I am ready to send TOM a packing and looking forward to some more consistent losses. hope everyone has a relaxing evening... ROSE

Well I am down 1 pound this morning, but I started TOM so I am a little relieved that I am down, but I am not expecting much this week as I tend to fluctate 5 pounds during my cycles normally. I am not going to let it get me down because I had a huge NSV that will hold me all week. I was able to easily slip into an outfit I haven't worn in 5 years that at the time would unsnap if I bent over even though I was at 25 pounds lighter than I am now. It not only fits, but it is actually loose, so even though I weigh more now, I must be thinner than I was. Which is a better tell for me than the scale anyway.

A David, I didn't know you could still lose on P3 and P4, I thought you were supposed to keep it within 2 pounds up and down. I read all about the steak day to help adjust if that happens. But now, reading your post it make sense that you would only do a steak day if it was a 2 pound difference up or down in 1 day because it means you are not stablizing. I think than I am going to do the 40 days now provided I am still seeing results and than do the full 6 weeks through the holidays and start Round 2 Jan 1. Maybe I will throw in my Slim in 6 or 6 weeks of Turbofire while I do P3 and P4 so that I can gain a little muscle. I used to get so discourage doing those video because I would work my butt off for 3 weeks and my body wouldn't look much different and maybe I only lost 5 pounds. Now going into it knowing it just a temporary fix while I wait for Round 2 and anything I lose during the time would be a bonus yet I would be still slimming and gaining muscle may be the motivation I need, not to mention allowing me to indulge "smartly" during the holidays!!! I think I have a plan....

Rose, I think you chose your food perfectly. I had to eat out all week and it is a gamble everytime so all you can do is make the best choice available. Normally I crave chocolate, so I think your were right to "smartly" indulge and get rid of the craving and at only 150 calories with the nutrients in all those vegetables, I am sure it was a good thing. Do you still take HCG during TOM? Are you on drops or injections?

I hope everyone sees a loss tomorrow morning!!!

    Tracy,

The goal of Phase 3 is to stablize and not gain or loose more than 2 lbs. My "loose between rounds" comment meant you could eat healthy and exercise towards the end of Phase 4 or after the round but before starting the next round.

It's good to plan these things but I also like to take the wait and see attitude too. Do as much as you can now but you do need to give yourself a break so at the end of this round reaccess and make the decision. You don't want to start a round and not be able to commit 100%.

@ Tammy...I am taking SL drops. And yes I continued to take them thru TOM. I read if you are taking the injections that you are not to do them thru TOM but the drops you can.

Eating out is tough...I just got a call from my sister, and because my bother who lives in VA is in town, all my siblings ( 5 of us) are gathering for dinner tomorrow nite. I told her I would love to come but please don't be offended if I bring my own food. She is such a great cook. BUT I will be good and take my grilled chix on a bed of lettuce topped with strawberries.

Hoping for a reward for my good behavior in the morning!!

tam -- make sure to check everything you put in your body or on your body for oils and sugars, and i mean sugars of any type. Be sure to measure your meats raw. Sparkling water can sometimes contain a TON of salt and will cause you to retain water. OH and don't forget... drink TONS of water! If you are in that 20+ day part, more than likely you are losing inches if you are doing the food part right. Measure yourself to see if there are changes happenening that the scale can't see.

rshenk - eating out can be tough especially with family. I take my food to restaurants all the time and haven't been kicked out yet. I ususally order a side salad with veggies only and no dressing or cheese or anything else and then add my meats and bring an apple with me. That way I dont' feel guilty that I'm taking up their table space but they are still serving me a salad. The "i'm allergic to everything" will keep them from adding things that might send you to the hospital on their dime.

Today was exciting for me. I'm getting the family ready to do our annual Christmas card picture and trying to get everyone to semi-match is always difficult. I was going to go out and shop for a dress that would fit in but remembered I had bought a goal dress 4 months ago. At a size 24 it was a daunting idea to ever fit into a 14. However, it zipped right up and was loose. I told Hubby that if we didn't take the picture soon, I'd have to get a smaller dress. He laughed at me and was very pleased.

Today was a milestone for me too, I have lost a total of 70 lbs as of this morning. It's very exciting!!! Hubby is rewarding me by taking me to my favorite store, Goodwill. I think they love me as much as I love them. LOL! I'm taking them two huge bags of too big clothes too. I feel much better knowing that I'm exchanging clothes for new ones that I will wear for a couple weeks and then get to come back and get new ones. It amazes me how much more fun it is to shop when there are more options to choose from. At size 24 I took what I could get, at size 12-14 I can be picky. The lowest size I can ever remember being is a 16 and that was in 7th grade. VFT (virgin fat teritory) is awesome!

Well I am middle of TOM, so have been up and down between two pounds since Thursday, so no scale victories to report, but I am happily wearing size 14 jeans comfortably. I have an 18 month old and have been wearing 16's and maternity clothes since she was born, so I am happy in my 14's right now. We are headed to Yo Gabba Gabba, and I feel like I am stylin... Whoo Hoo! I don't think I mentioned, but I have 4 daughters ranging in ages 21, 18, 3, and 1!!! I know, crazy!!!!

Yay Doila!!!! I know exactly how you feel, I would never guess that at around 195 I would be in a size 14. I used to be in a 14 at around 160. I love this diet because it truely goes after the fat!!! I just feel like I look like I weigh so much less than I really do. I bet your family photos are going to be beautiful!. We haven't really gotten professional family photos done since our baby was born. My goal is next year I should be at goal and I want to get a big family picture I can be proud to display on the wall.

Tam, according to protocol, I think it is 4 days of a stall where you can try the apple day which you probally know is drink water all day and have 5 apples throughout the day. I have also heard it may just be a placebo or psychological thing, but some people swear it helps kickstart the metabolism. I have also heard it is common especially for women to experience a stall between weeks 2 and 3. I love Doila's explanation that your body loses pounds first than inches. You may be in a "inch" losing week. Pounds should follow. I notice on your ticker you have lost 15 pounds already, that is awesome! What day are you on? How long do you plan to stay on?

David A, thank you for the explanation "between rounds". My 21 day ends Monday, I am planning to go 40 days as long as I don't going into "immunity" and continue seeing changes. And than I will stay in Maintenance and start Round 2 Jan 1. I am going to start Couch to 5K next week. I figure since it is so light in the beginning, mostly walking it won't be too much of a cardio while I am in p2 and get more intense around the time I am finishing Maintenance. I will just do the heavier cardio after P4 until Jan. 1 and it will help me not fret too much during the holidays if I am working out. I think it will be good for my self esteem or willpower if I can stay disciplined during these holidays as long as I go into it with some kind of plan.

CMarissa, Rshenk and everyone else, since most of us are at or coming up on day 21, what is your plan? Are you going to P3 or are any of you going to keep going on P2?

    Have a good weekend!

I cant decide if I want to send p2 after 21 days or continue on to 6 weeks. My first round I did 6 weeks, then 21 days p3, then totally failed p4. With the holidays coming up, idk what direction I'm taking...

I also have this weekend trip my dh planned a month ago. If I end p2 after 21 days, It works out to where I'm on p3 & can eat alittle more while in vacay, but I'm worried about the potential weight gain...
