Yay for you Pearlie. To be under goal weight and NOT somehow dieting to get there is really awesome. I haven't achieved that yet. I've gotten to goal weight many times, but just can't stay there without doing too many correction days. Which stops working after a while anyway. So I've had to adjust my expectations. And recognize when I'm falling behind to the point where I need an HCG intervention again. This next attempt to hold the line will be centered around keeping nutrition high, and lots of protein early in the day to set the tone for the rest of the day.

I haven't been able to avoid that winter season extra padding that shows up in the fall every year. It seems to be built in. Body gets cold > Body adds fat around the core > Scale rises.

ok need help here. last year i bought some b12 hcg nasal spray. i remember someone here took it. so decided to start load today and bite the bullet. HOWEVER i read the label on bottle but no other instructions given. said 5 sprays alternating nostrils. then i decide to go online and read what retailer says. it says 1 spray each nostril twice a day and one spray one nostril at bedtime. not sure how my body will respond to taking all 5 at once. any ideas. well my plan is to load today and not take any more sprays till tomorrow. wish i could remember who did spray hcg? i have mixing hcg for injections but i struggle with mixing so figured spray would get me going sooner. wish me a prayer or two of success

rose, I'm excited for you to get started because I know how much better you will feel in a few weeks. Cheering you on.

gz9gjg is our resident expert on nasal hhcg. I think she gets her spray from InsideOut Wellness. I'm sure she will chime in soon with some good information.

An option while you wait for a reply is click on her profile name on one of her posts in this topic. A panel will come up that contains a link for "view forum posts". It will show all her posts. If you have time, you can sift through and find out what she has said about nasal spray dosing in the past.

Hi Rose, that was me. I used one spray per nostril in am, only one spray at noon, and one spray per nostril in the evening. I never took all 5 at once. Some days I only did 3 or 4 if I forgot.

Thanks, PearlyMae - I do have to back up but so what. It's still easier and safer than crutches.

Rose, if you are doing one spray per nostril, just sniff gently and it should not drip. I hope it works as well for you as it did for me!

Leez: ...to be under goal weight and NOT somehow dieting to get there...
Is that what I am doing? I am doubling down on protein when I go up, and skipping some of the things that make life worth living like berries, tomatoes, veggies, and nuts! I am back on all of those the last few days and have even had ONE Lindt Truffle a day and I am back up. So, I guess, maaaaaaybe it's just a steering correction. I need to get this under control!

I would like to know HOW to add more carbs in. I don't miss much as I have found respectable replacements for most: almond flour muffin instead of toast, mashed cauliflower (with cream cheese stirred in for texture fix) for mashed potatoes, Easy Peasy waffles and pancakes made of egg and cream cheese, mixed nuts or cheese chips instead of potato chips, (I tried pork rinds for the longest time, but realized I just liked the chip dip I used and not the rinds, so cut those out!) home made salads and soups, I am testing how to make a good pizza bowl, as I have not found a pizza place that makes on that is enough for a meal, etc. etc. etc.

But I would really like a white sweet potato once in a while. And more than two French fries! Maybe not the whole serving, but count out 10 instead of 2. An apple! I'd really like an apple! POPCORN! I take cherry tomatoes and cucumbers to the movies and it just doesn't cut it! I can't even think of what else but you know what I mean. I would like to add a little every once in a while without fearing the scale the next few days and having to go all fat and protein for a week.

Any way, good luck with that spray, Rose. It sounds convenient. Hope it works super great for you.

Ok, that was a me me me post. Happy Sunday to all!

PearlyMae, good luck. If you are carb sensitive, like I am, you will have great difficulty adding carbs back to your diet. I have basically cut out all bread-substitutes, all fruits except berries, and starch-substitutes. I have concluded they just aren't worth the gains, for me. Instead, I eat larger portions of fatty meats and add butter liberally to my eggs, and organic heavy whipping cream to my coffee. I eat salads with 3 oz chicken and whatever dressing I please for lunch: I particularly like Panera Asian Sesame and G. Hughes no-sugar Balsamic Vinaigrette. Those give me the sort of flavor that I miss from apples and other fruits, with crunch from the salad greens. When I want a latte, I use almond milk which makes a satisfying foam and needs just a tiny bit of sweetener. My snacks are a few roasted pecans or other nuts,
some cheese , or bacon jerky. My chocolate is 85% and low sugar. If it sounds restrictive, well, I guess it is but I'm seldom hungry and my meals are tasty. And I don't have a choice, unless I want to take T2D medications.

All of that is what I am doing. Hmmm. Maybe I will choose ONE and see how adding that goes. I think that I have been, as I am letting myself have the ONE Lindt chocolate a day. I also have very dark chocolate chips mixed into my nuts, but a small bowl of nuts may have 6 chips.

I have some fake noodles to try, angel hair made from hearts of palm. 6 net g of carbs per package and I don't think I could eat the whole thing at once. Maybe that will cover some of the stuff I miss.

I will think on what I really miss and if I can't find a good sub, I will see if I can have it at all and then figure out how often.

    Thank you gig! P

PearlyMae - another thing to watch out for is seed oils - canola, safflower, sunflower, soy, corn, etc. They are extracted with high heat / high pressure industrial processes, and contain significant Onega 6 fats, which mess up our Omega 3 /Omega 6 balance. (Olive, coconut, and avocado oils are cold-pressed fruit oils and less harmful.) With 75% of my calories from fats, I have to pay attention to the quality and type of fats I eat. Fortunately I love butter, cream, and bacon!

Trust me, I sympathize - not being able to eat stuff I used to love was a real struggle for me.

For me, my intense carb sensitivity was corrected by doing the FMD (fast metabolism diet as a 5 month P4 in between 2 of my later rounds. It was the only time I ever started a round at the same weight I ended a previous round. But the change has seemed to hold. I learned not to be afraid of carbs. Up to that point, if I ate a quarter cup of sweet potato, the scale could jump 5 pounds overnight. So much no-carb and fasting dieting had really messed me up.

Pearlie, if there are other metabolic things going on, it may not work that way for you, and it is not easy to do long-term. But you would know after a month if it was going to help you. My A1Cs have always been normal for instance. Mainly because you rotate 3 eating patterns, and you are not allowed to repeat certain items like fruit in the other 2 patterns. But basically, you commit to a month of 2 days high carb/low fat (carbs from fruit, veg and whole grains), 2 days low fat/low carb, 3 days proteins with some fat and some carbs. So you had to deal with leftovers that you can't eat again till next week. After a couple weeks, I lost more on the high carb days than the other two patterns. The creator of the plan was always tweaking it, so not sure what the rules are now. There's a short overview of it posted in my blog: https://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforum...ategies-21546/

As I've gone along, I've learned a lot about how to manage starchy or sugary carbs when I have them. Its about both portion and frequency. My history has been that I was out of control on bread...my binges were a half loaf of bread & butter, a pizza...whole sleeve of crackers. Pushing nutritious whole foods for such a long time now and healing other imbalances, I find don't have those same cravings anymore and actually am quite happy with one slice of sourdough rye with my poached eggs in the morning. I think its at least partly the effect of nutritional "saturation". And I gradually find better choices that satisfy the call of some of the worst of the baddies. for instance, roasted plantain chips work for me on the chip/cracker craving problem. And my body seems to like them. I make sure they are made with a good oil, or I don't eat them. What gz said about avoiding seed oils it really important. Really getting serious about that has made a huge difference when I consider what I might allow my food choices to contain. Because if you avoid those, you avoid pretty much everything pre-prepared or processed. Its pretty telling that when McDonalds cooked their french fries in beef lard with people eating tons of them, the country did not have an increasing obesity problem. That started after they were forced to switch to "healthier" vegetable and seed oils.

It sounds like you are working your way through the nutritious substitutions maze too. Its a tedious thing, but eventually you have an arsenal of what works for you. You may find combos that work for you. One of my favorites is a honey crisp apple and cheese lace. (1-2 oz shredded cheese thinly spread in a skillet and oils are mopped up with a paper towel as it browns. I like the mex cheese blend) It makes a crispy lace. You don't want it solid, because it will stay chewy instead of crispy. So yummy with the apple, and the fat and protein in the cheese blunts the blood sugar spike from the apple.
