Thank you Leez. I think it's my own inspiration as well. I think what motivated me in the first place to upload that picture was Rose and her pictures. Between grammy, her and you have all been my inspiration on this forum from way back.
I have always loved your avatar. It is very inspirational. I feel like I am on some tropical island when I see yours.
I agree that I feel best once I get back to being able to look good in my clothes. The last true time I felt good was 2019 . Then my husband got sick and I haven't been able to get back to it until now

Normal? Well, I've always been a little AbbyNormal, myself. But I get it. Divorced at 29, no kids, a little career success but not much money, yes, I am not the black sheep of the family, but maybe the spotted one with a dirty face that chases the sheepdog.

I was okay sized until somewhere around menopause, and have fought fought fought to get back to what I thought of as normal for 20 years. I'll never be that 105 pound 18 year old, or the 110 pound newly wed, or even the 120 pound 30 year old (although my ex thought I was fat!). Butat 70, I am not giving up. I FEEL better at this weight. I know they are a vanity size, but I LURVE putting on a size 4 jeans! (Hey, that's the way our sweet Cristy spelled LOVE and I honor her by remembering! I think it is a Texas thing.)

I no longer work in an office, tho, so have an entire closet of dresses from my "management" days that I have no where to wear. I also have jackets by the boatload that went over the dresses. If I get the expanded job I am waiting to hear about, I may have to travel a little and work a conference here and there (Uruguay!) so don't want to get rid of them yet. My cute little size 0 client wears sheath dresses with zippers up the back and when I am next to her in a dress with a jacket and probably boots, people come up me to ask questions instead of her. LOL not sure she is thrilled with that. What can I say. I have the face of experience. I have to dress it, though, because I can also get ignored as maybe her mother. I am only 5-6 years older, so just saying. It is all about presentation and maybe 'presence.'

Speaking of Presence, I used to have it. If I was in a room and wanted to speak to the crowd, I just stood there looking around until everyone got quiet and started looking at me. No tapping a knife on a glass. It was sort of psychic.

Some where playing third or fourth fiddle in the jobs I have had over the past 15 years has made me tamp down that frequency so I wouldn't outshine my bosses, and I miss it. I still have it some, but few situations to use it. hey, I coulda been a contender...

Anyway, Leez, glad you are getting your pollen under control. I love your avatar always. My favorite view: The beach through my toes!
Jayk, YAAAAAY for the new job. I know you have been wanting it!
gig, thanks for the advice on air filters!
Zoo, hope you are having a great day!
Mermaid, you eat a great diet. I am Norwegian American, and the cooking my Grandma did was really good tasting, but not as lean as your diet. But then, her great grandparents came here in the 1890's, so much has changed!
Mo, are you on your way?
Mrs.S. Shout out. How are you doing?
And all you lurkers! Come on aboard. We can certainly use your input!

Hope I didn't miss anyone! Rose, are you coming back soon?

    Onward all!

    Hey PearlyMae

Sounds like you are a contender and that you have had a great career. I can just picture you standing in the crowd looking at the people until they are all quiet. That's awesome. I am so happy your in a good place and feel good. I love reading your posts. This has been a great journey since December and I have enjoyed all of you and your journeys.

Wow. Am starting P3 with a 2 pound cushion. Took final measurements, and 3 inches gone in my waist, 2 in my bust. Both reductions appreciated. Still feeling a bit rocky from the mold attack, but symptoms remarkably better since running the air purifier for most of a day now. No more drainage, air passages feeling back to normal. That to say that I don't really have much appetite. I think part of that is normal for me. Hunger doesn't awaken right away for me after the HCG wears off, but it seems more depressed than normal this time. Breakfast was coffee with my normal amount of cream, poached eggs. a couple strips of bacon and a few grape tomatos. So I'm trying, but have no desire yet to "eat all the things". It may take some effort to get my calories up this time.

This has been kind of a magical round. Probably my best losses ever for the amount of injection days, peaceful scale progression, absolutely rock solid dose, and random periods of the HCG chill, but not the 24/7 type that hit me in my one other winter round. Very thankful for that. All regular clothes fitting again and skimming over what still remains of the bizarrely inflated tire roll around my waist. (thankyou menopause) The shape is still there, just greatly diminished. It will be interesting to see if that changes a bit during the P3 reshaping. Traditionally, that only goes away to an unnoticeable state 10 pounds or so lower than I am now.

Reading about your weight journey, Pearlie, reminds me of looking back at old photos. Isn't it amazing that in a decades old photo, you can remember exactly what you weighed on that day? Really speaks to the power of the obsession. But looking back at some of mine where I looked spectacular (to me now), I remember feeling fat at the time. Part of it was the culture....in the 70's I remember wearing those low-rider jeans that were so super-tight that they rubbed wounds over your hip bones. Spandex wasn't an option back then. Who wouldn't feel fat in those. Your flesh had to go somewhere.

    P4 Month 2

I got a lot done yesterday, and awoke feeling strong today. YAY. I think between gaining weight, constantly worrying about changing my thyroid med dose and actually roller coastering by changing it, then THREE eye surgeries that left me with less vision than I had before... I think I have been a leeeetle depressed.

The weight is gone, I have decided NOT to go back to that dr and find a new one so sticking to my regular thyroid dose, and finally have glasses for driving (oh holey moley, I only understood how bad my vision was when I put them ON) and computer glasses.

I have been praying nightly for strength to get stuff done! I still have not heard back from my client that wants me to take over some other projects. She was out of town all week.

It would help me enormously to have more work, as another stressor has been that my budget is so tight, I worry all the time about every penny I spend. I need to upgrade my computer system, I need a new water heater, I need to do some landscaping in my yard before all the dirt around my six mature maple trees roots has eroded away any further, soooo many things!

But! I feel I can ALMOST handle it all now. Six inches of snow Saturday but it felt like Sunshine! I shoveled my sidewalk as per city ordinance but was going to just let my driveway melt at its own rate, and a neighbor brought his two boys over and had that sucker clean in 20 minutes. It would have taken me an hour.

Big sigh of relief. Maybe because I can take a big breath without my buttons popping... There is a lot to be said of that!

Jayk, thank you for the kind encouragement. I feel I just blather on, so it is wonderful to hear that my blathering is okay.
Leez, I LIKED hip huggers, as my problem area was at my waist and hip huggers were more comfy, and I could cover my stomach by wearing all of my other clothes 2 sizes too big, which I did for YEARS. We had some dumb parameters to meet in the day. In my 20's (late 70's) I went to Weight Watchers for MONTHS to lose 10 pounds when I weighed 120! I had to get a doctor's permission which he gladly gave... It didn't do a thing for my stomach as it is more a congenital condition.

Ack! gotta go. Got a kid to pick up! EEk. Shoulda left 5 minutes ago!

Leez I felt that I still had a tire around my waist too, until that P3 reshaping. That's why I thought I may need another round. I sure hope it happens for you as well. I am so happy you had a good round and was not freezing the entire time.

I am not so hungry either this time around as I sometimes am. The waiting on the two days didn't seem bad this time for me into P3

PearlyMae your welcome. You are wonderful. Thank goodness for the neighbors boys, always a nice thing to have boys around.

We had snow as well and I shoveled it. I have a bad back today so staying home. I was helping lift my husband and must have triggered it. Then the shoveling.
Oh well have some paperwork and stuff I can get done anyway, so maybe it's a good thing.

I know what you mean about the cost of everything and worrying, it's crazy times we live in these days.

Like gz9gjg I am glad I am renting now instead of owning. So many costs, and I just had the vehicle front end done, and new tires.

    Zoo hope your doing alright,

Hello mo, mrsstrong, Mermaid and hope your all good as well.

Hi, You folks have so much going on, even besides the snow! My hat is off to each of you that is struggling with some very real life challenges, along with this diet and Mother Nature. I've also been experiencing back issues, sigh...We here in Northern CA just had our worst storm of the season. I think we all learned from last year, so not as many trees crashing down on cars, houses and roads. Flooding is truly epic down in SoCal, but we are fortunate where we are - we don't have flooding around the house, just some pooling in our olive orchard, but the wind and a little sun helps to dry things up. We lost power again, but since we did learn a big lesson from last year being without power for three weeks in Jan, we put in generators for the house and the well. They clicked on like a charm! Kinda sounds like I'm at a perpetual carnival, if any of you have been to one with large generators going all the time, lol. With our kids and granddaughter living here now, it's important to save our forzen and refigerated food, keep the baby warm, and take a shower now and then!

Anyway, I've certainly piled a lot on, what with HCG, Zepbound dosing, and Intermittent Fasting my last two weeks of R1P2! I discovered that I can't just do one big meal. Just can't eat that much protein and veggies at one time. So, the fast ends at 1pm, then I have my collagen (pure marine protein) in a coffee or something, eat a regular HCG lunch, and a dinner later, all before 9pm. I'm not sure I'm getting all my calories in, since I've had to eat on the run (7 cooked large cooked shrimp), and the couple of recipes I've tried just aren't my cup of tea. And, there's no starch or carbs, so no fruit nor Finn crackers, phooey. Boy, I can't wait for more variety!!! I miss my apple a day...

That said, I lost 2.8 pounds between starting IF last Friday and today! Yahoo!! Normally I eke out a half-pound now and then through the last two weeks, totaling a loss of about 15#. I'm anxious to see if this new trend continues through the end. My last week I'll skip the olive oil in coffee and see if I lose even more fat. I'm already down 15.6 at today's measurement. Losing lots of inches, too. The rewards of getting back to some of my more nice and fun clothes, along with pulling on any jeans without looking and having them fit, is almost exilarating. Just gotta ensure I'm getting enough calories in and not think about how boring the food/fuel is.

Best of luck to everyone this week!!

    Home stretch of P2

If I only finish the first bottle, I have 4 more days of P2.
A Total of 30 injections over 34 days.
(2 day break for TOM, two days of VLCD after final injection)
At 169.1, I am down 19.8 lbs as of this morning.

I'm debating starting the next bottle to get to the full 40 days and make my goal of 30lbs lost.

That would have me stopping the day my period starts (if it stays regular, crossing fingers) but it would also leave 21 days of unused HCG injections that would go to waste unless I could find a friend here who was interested in trying the diet. I'd give them away, it's less about the money and more about the waste when quality HCG is only available here through an OBGYN.

But I am also in home stretch mode and ready to power through into P3 as there will be a lot of seated dinner events coming up professionally where I won't be able to turn down a toast or just push food around the plate without it being more of a conversation than it already has been.

I think the fact that we have such a healthy diet to begin with makes the last few days of this diet more frustrating. And the "Mommy, are you done not eating broccoli/greenbeans/carrots/soup yet?" conversations are starting to gnaw at me.

But I also really want to make it to 155 and stay there. I'm capable of continuing to lose in P3, but it is definitely more difficult. I also need to get back to training for the Birkebiner https://birkebeiner.no/no/ski/birkebeinerrennet-54-km and that will be a big hurdle if I add another 8 days of P2

    I guess I'll decide by Friday 🤣

This round has definitely made me aware of my age more than I was expecting. I needed that to remind myself that if I want to be as fit and strong as I've always been in the first 42 years of my life, I need to work harder at it now. And that's not a bad thing, it's just something I have to be an active participant in more now than in the past!

I just ordered a new set of compression garments too. They will be a nice reward since my skin hasn't caught up and P3 rebalancing makes me feel squishy. http://nouvelleinc.com/ And this one: https://02c7837.netsolstores.com/ful...f-1-1-1-1.aspx or this one: http://nouvelleinc.com/zipperedconto...thigh-1-1.aspx Dawn runs the shop and can make them shorter as longer as needed. She's wonderful!

Congratulations to everyone on the new jobs, vacations, clothes fitting, snow shoveling, charging increased prices, and intentional recovery you're all succeeding at! It's early and I'm tired so I hope I didn't forget anyone!

Wanted to add that for the mold issues - I became an unintentional expert in mold recovery and treatment last year... multiple hospitalizations... long story. highly recommend https://balanceone.com/products/balance-one-candassist to help get rid of the residual clingers. It's also an excellent follow up for any anti-fungal pills you have to take. Mold toxicity is evil.

So glad I jumped up from lurker status on this forum.
I look forward to seeing how everyone is doing! Onward!

Mermaid, if you do mix up the next bottle, you can fill your syringes and freeze them. I lay mine out on a tray in the freezer overnight, then bag the syringes in a ziploc bag or two. They keep as long as they stay frozen.

    P4 Month 2

    Good morning everyone!

I tried to make nachos last night (cover your ears P2ers! La La La La!) Disaster! I made cheese chips in the microwave but since I made a bigger than usual batch, did not quite get them crispy. Then its been a long time since I made guacamole, 'taco meat' etc. and I didn't get the spices just right. The taco meat (hamburger) had too much cumin and the guac didn't have enough garlic salt and too much salsa. Ugh. I used to just throw stuff in by sight, using my palm as a measure. Out of practice! But even worse the slightly saggy chips got soggy fast, so only ate about half and threw the rest away. I am VERY careful not to waste food so you know it had to be awful! Still.... not a terrible idea.

    Needs tweaking.

I almost fell for an email scam yesterday. I think of myself as a smart enough person, not naive at all and never thought I couldn't tell a scam when I saw one. I rec'd an email from the chairman of the board for the association that I have done a newsletter for, for over 10 years. He wanted me to go get Amazon cards and send him the numbers, and he would reimburse me the next day. He wanted them quick because he wanted to send them to the rest of the board as a thank you. Well, that was a little weird but he is kind of a big shot and while I have only met him to say hi to maybe 3 times in the past 10 years, he is an older guy...even older than me, so I realized he probably did not know how to buy Amazon gift cards online. Then it started falling apart because I noticed his email was gmail, it had his business name in it, but a gmail?

Then I asked him, just to make me comfortable to call me so I could know it was him. Oh, he was tied up with meetings and he was counting on me and I had nothing to worry about. Well, that was a bunch of red flags! I wrote back and said that was exactly what a scammer would say! Meanwhile, I am calling my contacts at the association management company and they are on plane flying cross country. I texted then and did not go get the cards, telling him I would go first thing in the morning after he had time to contact me or I heard from my bosses here.

Finally, my boss landed and immediately said NO IT IS A SCAM! Whew. Why would I fall for that, or dang near? Putting $1600 on MY credit card? Because he is a well known, important to my job, well respected senior. I didn't want to say no and have him grump to my boss. And how could a scammer know me and him, since we have no contact with each other?

Then I remembered I am listed as the Communications Editor on the website with my work email. He is listed as the Chairman of the Board. Both of our pictures are up there.

So take the name of a big shot and send it to the most underling person you can find on the website and then take them for as much as you can!

Whew! I'm sharing so you can pass this scam info on. It is pretty complex.

Re-reading the emails, if i hadn't been dazzled by the Big Guy asking little ol me for a favor, I would have seen a lot of clues it was a scam.

    Well, NOTdiet talk. Sorry.

    Onward!

Those scams can be very sophisticated. Good for you for checking it out before doing anything. The first suspicious thing I saw in the story was that he didn't give you HIS credit card number to order the gift cards. That's a full stop right there.

P3D3 today. Still at LIW minus 2 pounds. I finally woke up hungry enough to enjoy breakfast. Had made some flax seed granola which I like to have with almond milk and blueberries. But haven't been to the store yet, so had some pineapple instead. The store trip is much needed, and I'm finally well enough to go. It will be fun to get in some good P3 stuff like avocados, sausage and some fresh fruit. I'm not ready for the salads yet, but will see what I can creatively manage...maybe will make some eggplant dip, and a big pan of peppers, onions and mushrooms to plop on pretty much everything.

Also today my whole midriff area went squishy and lumpy and a little shrunken. It was the oddest change because it literally happened overnight. Hopefully the start of reshaping.

Good for you, PearlyMae! Anyone who wants Amazon gift cards is likely a scammer.
