Cool Follow YOUR plan, and KEEP IT REAL!!! (ANY round, ANY phase, ANY start date)

Let’s face it. This diet is HARD. Doing it right requires a lot of mental preparation, focus, and commitment. Every single step of this process involves thinking, planning, waiting, considering. No matter what stage of the plan we are in, every step requires groundwork and follow-through. Any change we want to make on this plan can’t be a simple impulse decision. It has to be a well thought-out choice. Whether the choice is to be one-million percent on protocol as per Dr. Simeons’ Pounds and Inches, or to deviate to one of the billion available options, I am convinced we find our best success when each of our actions is performed with forethought and consideration. Also, when we make these choices, it helps if we are fully clear about our reasoning, and unwaveringly straightforward about how these choices might not have been in our best interest.

My aim is to have a group of people who are making a PLAN and following it, with a strong sense of brutal honesty with themselves and each other. Don't tell yourself you "had" to cheat, admit that you were unprepared and you made a poor choice. Move on, make a promise to yourself to be better prepared next time, and KEEP THAT PROMISE, or hear from us.

Unlike in the large majority of the groups on this forum, which seem to be segregated by round/phase/start date, I want to hear from members in all stages of the game: from people simply researching the program, those of us who have just mixed our first vial or are waiting on our first bottle of drops, to long-timers who have done multiple successful (and some unsuccessful) rounds. Just because you haven’t done several rounds of HCG doesn’t take away your experience in the game of life.

Likewise, differently from the threads focused on followers of one way of eating versus another, I want to hear from people who are choosing to do all sorts of different plans: protocol purists, rogue HCGers, round calendar sticklers, and cyclers.

The common ground is that we acknowledge that this path is seriously challenging, and that we are entitled to celebrate our successes, no matter how small. Also, we believe that sugar-coating matters when we make mistakes is going to get in the way of our success more often than not.

As my tagline says, no part of this journey is for the weak. We have to be tough on ourselves and on each other, so as to see success in our path to our best selves.

    Any takers?

As I gear up to start Round 2 next week, I have to admit that I'm scared of mixing/injecting. My plan was to do at least one round of RX, to see what the differences are with homeopathic HCG.

I'm thinking of ordering a bottle of pellets, just in case I hate RX...

I am totally in! I failed on this diet previously - after spending a lot of money - simply because I did not research, develop a plan and hold myself accountable.

I am just starting and appreciate your post. I am on day four, two days of loading and second day of hcg. I need help with the actual diet itself as far as the phases etc. I will stick close to the boards to keep in touch with you all.

    Thanks so much

I am really excited about this. what I need is to make a plan to hold myself accountable, before I move into p4.

Yeah, I think failing to make a real P3/P4 plan and holding myself accountable is the reason why I'm likely to end this round 3 pounds above LDW. I was rather loosey-goosey entering P3 and P4.

Next round, I will draw up a more specific strategy, especially when it comes to developing P4.

Another step in the accountability game: I will edit my ticker to reflect my current weight, not just the lowest weight at the end of R1P2. If I'm gonna keep it real, well, I have to suck it up, LOL.

Here's the deal: I believe there is a HUGE difference between support that's based on tough love, and coddling/enabling. You can be gentle and tough at the same time. Honesty may hurt, but it is like a surgeon's scalpel: it is meant to be used as a sharp tool with the purpose of healing.

As long as our mutual honesty is respectful, we can have a seriously kick-*** support group.

I edited my ticker. Man, that hurt. Giving back nearly 4 pounds to the gods of reality was harder than I expected.

Becky, my best advice for entering P3 is to get your calories up as fast as possible. I know that's hard because you need to be careful adding your foods. Still, the easiest strategy is to eat the fatty versions of the meats you were eating in P2: chicken wings, ribeyes or beef ribs, fatty fish, and cook your veggies in tons of fat like butter.
