P2D24: no loss, sitting on my 138 setpoint.

The sailboats painting is amazing in its freedom of brush strokes. Love that. My painting style tends to be more constrained. I've tried to get that release but never quite attained it. So since I wasn't good at it, I move on to other things.

Right back up. So, not a loss, just a fluctuation based on volume of what I ate and drank. Sheesh.

    Still working on it!

I have 5 days left to break through my setpoint. (If I make it that long.) Not confident it will happen, but we'll see.

In the meantime, enjoying wearing all my clothes again that are no longer too snug for comfort. I think todays project may be to pack up a few of the nice too big stuffs and make a donate bag for the rest.

Do you keep a range of sizes in your closet for the ups and downs? I would love to get back to a point where I only have one size with a couple of bigger things for floaty days. Right now I probably have 7 different sizes of clothing in my closet. I have cleared out a lot of smaller things after holding onto them too long, and I've "loaned" some to my daughter, so some are in her closet and at least being worn.

I try not to keep anything in my closet that doesn't fit or almost fit. So the way oversized or way too tight things that I still like get boxed up and labeled for when they are needed again. I do keep some bigger things out for those "floaty" days. But I find if I keep too small stuff visible, it tends to make me feel dissatisfied with where I am. Id rather wear something that just feels a little looser on a skinny day.

This time I think I may get rid of all the too small stuff...especially bottoms. its been really hard to buy jeans since ko vid because all the stores where I shop (mostly thrift stores) still have not opened their dressing rooms. So have a collection of try on at home jeans that didn't work for one reason or another. They'll just get donated back.

at age 81 i like comfortable clothes. not even stretchy jeans. i have a couple of yoga pants that are very comfortable but wear under a longer top. must admit i’ve seen some very skinny ladies that still really don’t look great in yoga pants from the rear. lol.
That being said i weighed this morning against my own advice snd first time in 5 or 6 weeks i am over Liw by .4. Have had a cpl days eating differently and larger calories so not surprised. today is more P3 and will try to wait till Wed before i weigh again. my appetite back to normal. i sure do feel a diff when i ate sweetened sweet potatoes with candied pecans. i was hungry all day after that. good lesson right?

Hope you all have a great new week. New beginnings !

Leez, that's what I was wondering. Do you store clothes in various sizes for "just in case?" I got rid of the really small stuff-- like the 6s and some 8s ages ago. I think I have one dress my daughter is still holding onto for me if the day ever comes that I can wear it again. I also went through last year and parted with most of the 8/10/12s, with a handful of things left... a dress or two, one or two pairs of (expensive) jeans, and my favorite work clothes. now the 14s are too small, but I have refused to get rid of anything else bc I want to get back there, and I don't want to have to keep buying more clothes! Even thrift store and eBay shopping is expensive these days! That has been the hardest thing. and I try to go through and move the smaller stuff out, but it's hard to keep it all separate. And you're right: it just makes me feel bad about where I am, and ultimately about myself.

Rose-- I'm still wearing stretchy jeans, lol, but I definitely lean more toward comfortable than not. The last thing I want to fool with is something ill-fitting or having to fiddle with my clothes. I have also noticed that when I eat sugary/carb-y things, I am hungrier. Especially at breakfast.

Happy to report I am finally moving in the right direction this morning-- down 1.5 to 192.9. Gotta get my dosage straightened out, though. I can't do this if I'm hungry!

I kept all my small sizes for years and through several moves. When I finally started losing weight, I shopped Goodwill and Ebay for fill-in sizes, and began donating stuff that I was determined to never wear again. Then I started shopping my own closet. When I packed to move last summer, I donated almost all of my work clothes, and the stuff that was too small / never gonna fit again. Fortunately my ski clothing fit again, so all I needed was new gloves and a season pass.

I don't keep a range of sizes. I stick to keeping only one size up from where I want to be. I've gotten rid of everything bigger than an 8. A 6 in jeans works for me most of the time. By the time I get to the 8's, I'm motivated enough to do something about it.

At my most skinniest, 4s were still tight, so not even going there. But as you all have discovered I'm sure There is a lot of of size variation between brands. So I need to get rid of the sixes that are really 4's or were made for toothpick legs.
