Hey PearlyMae - how are you doing? Have your thyroid issues settled down?

AFM, I have stabilized well, I'm not weighing much but my clothes fit. I just had to have my furnace replaced, argh! and I'm getting other work done in my new place.

Ugh, furnace replacement! So Sorry to hear that, Gig. But glad you are maintaining at a good place! Hurrah!

Personally, Not so great! After returning from my reunion the first week of August, I was super tired for several weeks--not sure why cuz not that strenuous! I just sort of dove face first into bad foods because I had no interest in combining ingredients into actual cooked food. I have been gaining steadily and still tired since. I have resumed my previous thryoid dosage, and that did help a bit but since I was so far down, it is taking time to get all the way back. i have an appointment the end of this month after waiting and waiting, but not sure if this is the right person to see, either. I did find someone else I'd like to see, but they don't take insurance and cost $400 for a first visit. After spending $200 on a Quack who told me to just breathe through my nose, I am not thrilled to see someone else that does not take any insurance, let alone mine. So I am still looking.

Meanwhile, the Covid Longhaulers thing has struck again. Evidently three years ago I was tested for a leaky heart valve and the guy never sent the info to my primary care dr and never followed up and told me. WTF? My newest PCP caught it in some paperwork that was sent a year ago (guy must have finallly got caught up on his paperwork) but I had two PCP quit and have bounced around with nobody, getting by on Urgent Care, so nobody told me. I had to have tests over again, and first one came back as very mild and something to follow, but not a problem afterall. However, having one more test to be sure. THEN, I had cataract surgery on one eye, doing monovision. My left eye can now read with no glasses at all, but I don't get the other eye (which will be for distance) until later this month. I have a pair of glasses that I broke the left lens on a while back, so that worked out well! LOL. I just wear them with no lens on the left and use the right lense to see. A lot of adjustment.

However, can't use the pool until both eyes heal completely, and since my nephew's schedule change, i haven't been able to find any Y classes I can take and still get him where he needs to go. I have been super tired, anyway. Right now, to top things off, my sister and BIL went to London for a fancy wedding and came down with Covid when they got home. We have all had all the shots and boosters etc. but were told that none of them are 100% protection. Sheesh.

So anyway, my body looks like a 70 year old woman, exactly what i have fought and fought NOT to look like (even though I Are One!) I jumped on the drs scale yesterday with all my clothes, shoes and evven holding my purse and let it say it was in the mid 140's. When i weigh at home, naked, I'm hitting in the 136-138 range, which is ~ ten pounds since last round LIW. I am not ready to do a round yet, and not sure when I can since i did so much in the spring.

Also, I need to get that ingredient combining and adding heat thing going again. So much easier just to eat a cookie or toast.

So that's why I have been MIA. I don't THINK I have given up, just on hiatus. I think.

    Onward! P

So sorry to hear you are struggling, Pearlie, but glad to hear you are not giving up.

It seems so unfair to have to keep fighting the same battles over and over again. I talk (translation: complain) to God about that regularly. Its like house-cleaning... In my view, surely once you do it, it should stay done. But no. It doesn't work that way.

The lesson in all of that is life is not fair. But thankfully, there is always the opportunity for redemption. I find that being intentionally thankful helps me stay positive.

Hi Tmott! So glad to hear you are doing well in P4!

Leez, you are a sweetheart! Yes, life is NOT fair. If I had a nickle for every time I've had to explain that to a young person...

I just ordered 2 boxes of Ovidac 5000. No idea when they will arrive. It sometimes takes 2 weeks, and sometimes 4-6. Doesn't matter. I will start when it gets here. I may have to take a PI over either Thanksgiving Or Christmas, or both, but I am determined to get back to my fighting weight.

I have been eating so badly! At first it was fun, but lately, not only has the weight gone up, but my energy is clear down, my use of Tums and Gas X has gone up big time, and I can't think of anything I want to eat.

I need to get back to P2 and reset my habits once again.

I re-read Pounds and Inches and looks like I can do another round after 40 days, and my last round was in ..(had to go back and look up in old threads1) March and I started P3 April 1st. So if I can start around Nov 1, that will be 7 months ago so I should be okay.

I had all the heart tests and came out clean and green and cleared to go back to exercise. Slight leak in one valve, but nothing to slow me down. Just gotta check it every year or two.

That is the good news. The bad is then WHY am I so tired, out of breath and can't get rid of this cough that I have had for 3 years now? Tired is probably still thyroid, out of breath is lack of exercise, as I was doing well earlier this summer, and cough...? Gerd or post nasal drip? IDK. But I am looking for a yoga class that I can do until I can get back to the pool in December so I don't get any weaker, I have an appt with Endo dr next week, finally! and the cough. Well, I'll just buy Halls Sugar Free honey eucalyptus by the family size bag for now.

I will be checking in so everybody BE GOOD!
    Onward!

PS: Here is a question for all of you Wise Warriors who have been here a while. Our Dear Christy once recommended an appetite suppressant from an online place that I thiink also sold HCG. I got it in drops form and while it was not an appetite destroyer, it did help a little those first few days when getting used to the routine. I am always restless until midafternoon on day 4 when everything clicks in. However, I don't have them anymore and can't remember where I got them and Christy is no longer around to ask. Bless her! She'd know in a minute. Anyone remember? I want to do everything I can to get back on the wagon. Thanks in advance!! (And they were not expensive as I would not have paid over $30 for a couple or maybe three bottles.)

Hi, I'm trying again after several years of putting it off. Right now my life is a mess -- I'm likely facing a divorce and battling crushing treatment-resistant depression. For the depression I've tried all the SSRI and SNRI meds, Wellbutrin, Ability, talk therapy (searched for a therapist for years, tried virtual too), TMS (Google it) and God - none of it has worked. The therapists only ask how my week went, it never goes beyond that, and God is like a boyfriend who never calls me back.

I finally said, something's gotta give and this morning I mixed up the HCG that I have been keeping in the fridge (not expired). Also I'm going to talk with my pill doc about trying something new -- I don't know if any of you have tried Spravato? It's going to be rough because my new job just went permanent this past Monday and I'll need to leave early several days a week for treatment. Maybe he'll go for it, since I burst into tears on the phone on Thursday.

I've done Hcg before, so know how it was before (in 2015). Mostly I'm needing emotional support because I don't get much of it elsewhere (no family & only 2 friends I trust). I'm also very sensitive to criticism -- this bee won't fly to vinegar!

Anyway that's my current situation, and I'm all for jumping into this. I hope we all can "get er done!" and come out happy on the other side!

Glad you are reaching out for help and support, Blue Aura. I'm glad we can be here for you at such a stressful time.

HCG is still working in 2023, so you at least have that going for you. Success is pretty much guaranteed if you follow the protocol.

You can help fight depression with replacing seed oils with omega 3's and getting more sunshine to help your body produce vitamin D. Small spurts of exercise can help too, especially if they are outdoors. I know the effort it takes to do anything when under that dark cloud, but taking it in small steps can help you get through that.

This is a great thread with lots of veterans checking in, so I'm sure you'll get the benefit of their wisdom soon.

There is another thread where those starting a round can gather to get more focused support, This months thread: https://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforum...sts-74207-new/

So, I did cut my round short due to unexpected plans and such. I did 31 dose days, then transitioned off of the hhcg and now on D6 of P3. I really only lost about 7 lbs, but since I was in a stall for about the last two weeks I'm doing pretty well on P3. Eating more, and "good" things, like avocado - YAY! Planning another round in January once all of the holidays and festivities are behind us and I can hunker down and focus again. I'm happy with where I ended up and comfortable in my clothes again, so that's a nice place to be. It's pretty quiet here, but I will try to check in now and then to keep myself on the straight and narrow. Hope y'all are having a nice week and have some fun plans for Halloween!

I have been putting off doing yet another round of HCG after gaining weight last Christmas. Your success is such an inspiration to me. Wow is all I can say. Thank you.
