It could very well have been the almond flour, Pearly. I had some yesterday and am up 2 pounds, right at my window edge.

    Hi everyone!

Doing well over here but at the top of my window after trying almond flour. Made a microwave mug cake. Not worth it. I am also ditching the NuTrail granola I have been using. It didn't affect my weight but I think it makes me super gassy. All the keto granolas seem to but this one had been ok until this P3. I think I am sensitive to coconut anything.

Always a good idea to weigh when introducing a new food. Plain dark chocolate is good enough too instead of baking stuff anyway. Back to my normal for a few days.

It is my birthday 2/10 and I will technically be in P4. I will reserve this date for a nice treat of whatever I want and give myself a couple of days to get rid of the gain I suspect there will be. The things I look forward to haha.

Great to read about everyone's progress and victories! Move through the set-backs with gentleness. You deserve it!

    Thank you, MrsS! Probably right!

Am I even in charge of gains and losses? Yesterday was perfect and I am up .6 today. Sometimes feel like I am waving my hands in the air thinking I am making magic spells to make stuff move and the wind is really blowing things around. Sigh.

Onward! That avocado is still too hard, but is showing some promise. Maybe tomorrow. Instead, I took one little Compari tomato and cut it into wedges and zapped in the microwave for 30 seconds. Tastes just like broiled tomatoes they serve for breakfast in England. I have been eating these little tomatoes through P2 and P3 and the last almost 4 weeks of P4, so hope they are all right. First time to zap them, tho.

My client is actually offering more work. They know my rates are going up, but I have held off until I see what the are offering for this next stuff. They have been using recent college grads and it has them driven crazy. (They are not as old as I am, but almost!) It is social media, and that age is more plugged in on that than I am, but I am not a troglodyte! They have expected news releases, graphic design and editing of blogs, too, which I suspect is a little much to expect from a newbie to the field with no background in ag or sustainability. I've been working with them for 10 years, and I'm from Iowa, so I am thinking this will not be a problem. My main problem from them is meeting deadlines they set and then don't give me the info I need to meet that deadline unless I harass them. And then they complain that Millennials have a poor work ethic! LOL. This last one called to say she couldn't meet a deadline, tho, because she was in another state at a conference to try to get more clients. Uh. Not something you tell the client you HAVE!

    Onward!

Well, I think we will naturally fluctuate 1-2# up and down easily so I hope that you are not thinking that you will be at the same point every time you weigh in!

My rates have also gone up significantly but people keep coming. I think that there is a risk of being undermarket too so I put myself on the mid to highish end without being highest.

Last week of P2 starts today. So if my calculations work out, 6 more injections and then the stabilization balancing act starts. This round has been completely drama-less. No hunger, no long stalls, visible progress, plenty of opportunity to make my standard .5 pounds per day loss. A little food boredom, but now I'm just whining. ^_^

Wow, I've missed a lot of action on the Thread! So good to hear everyone's news. I've been so busy with family stuff I haven't had time to check in! It's been fun stuff, and I've had no trouble keeping a pretty strict P3. I'm on day 7 and have been stable at around my LIW. I think this is the first time I have been so strict in P3 and truly impressed with how stable I am. The only thing I am concerned about is that I've only managed 1200 calories one day and the rest have been 850-1000. I have not been hungry except at mealtime and I've been getting around 75gm of protein each day. My BMR is 1330 so I know I need to up my calories to at least that but I admit I'm a little afraid given that at 850-1200 I'm stable (and not losing). I leave on Saturday for AUS which will be P3 Day 11. After that I won't be able to track my weight except on an old spring scale at my FIL's house, which weighs in Stones! A Stone is 14lbs so there is no nuance once I've converted to lbs. I've been weighing on that scale for 42 years and it's kind of fun to see that although I weigh more than I did back in the day, it's not by a ton. Still, it's very hard to see small gains so I'm going to have to be super careful. Which won't be the easiest thing as there will be family meals where I will have to pick the least damaging thing to eat.

I learn so much from everyone who posts here. I always pick up something that makes me think. Thank you!

    P4 onward

MrsS, TWO good points. I don't expect to be the same every day, but I do expect not to go UP every day and that is what gets me stressed. Sheesh. And yes, I should be in the middle high level$-wise. I have 45 years of experience and do soooo many different things under the canopy of marketing. I've won prizes, had my own agencies, etc.

    So, thank you for that!

    Leez, just I feel ya!

Mo! Have a little fun! Just try to keep below a half stone up, and you can clean up the rest when you get home. I was going to say 1/4 but there is travel, lack of and bad sleep and altitude that all contribute to about a quarter stone, so cut yourself some slack When you get home, get rested, get back in a routine, you will get back in your window, maybe with a few days of Keto.

I AM up, but only .2, so will hope that is just fluctuation. I was Perfectly P3 yesterday, just protein and fat, no apple, no almond flour, only mashed cauliflower, raspberries and tiny tomato. So, eating good in the neighborhood, but at home.

Sorry P2ers: Today, I made myself a yummy P3 pancake: 1 egg, 1 oz softened cream cheese, .5 tsp vanilla, stir forever..(I usually put it into my mini Cuisinart chopper, but I was lazy and paid for it!)

Then cook on the stove in a frying pan like a pancake. (Not worth taking out the griddle for one pancake!) I made ONE pancake, and I wanted another but held off. The recipe is originally for 2 eggs, but since it is a 1 to 1 to recipe, pretty easy to adapt. (1 tsp of vanilla for two eggs) Oh, I do put a TSP of Bisquick in it which makes it puff up some and makes it a little sturdier, but it's not necessary. I usually make 3-3 at a time (1T Bisquick, 1.5 tsp vanilla) and keep a few left over for other days. Or eat them all! LOL. I use the same recipe in my mini waffle maker, too. The Bisquick helps with those so they come out of the waffle maker better.

    Onward!

    Hmmmmm.... a Pearly Blog again.

Up again! Still under LIW but barely. It was so fun last week going down down down, but this week, uppity up up. Not as much fun. If I knew I would gain .6 today, I woulda had a donut! Ah, it is what it is and tomorrow is another day.

I am eating healthy, so there's that.

    What's up every buddy?

    Onward!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

You're almost done, Leez! Feels so good to reach this point.

Pearly, I hope your uptrend stopped! That is indeed nerve-racking!

    Great stabilizing, Mo!

I am down one of the two pounds from the almond flour jump so it's all good. Onward!

Yes, almost done and even closer after a dose mishap. Apparently, when I was drawing a dose from my mixing vial, I somehow must have run into another hole next to the one my syringe needle was making. Since the vial is pressurized, as I was withdrawing my dose, some of the solution leaked out next to the needle. I lost a couple of doses. So I withdrew what was left (those draws worked fine) and it looks like tomorrow will be my last injection day. I'm not unhappy about it, as I was starting to get weary, and I'm pretty close to my expected loss. I'm at 13 pounds down right now, and realistically could have only hoped for 14 from a 28 injection round. After tomorrow, I'll be at 25 injections, and could possibly drop that other pound anyway. So I'm good with that. That will also put me at starting P3 on Sunday instead of next week mid-week, so will celebrate by doing lunch after church with friends.

The best part...all my favorite clothes fit again. Sweet.

    Another crazy week!

Every time I tried to get on my laptop for anything other than work, something came up - and something with my VPN won't let me respond normally on the thread when I'm on my iPhone (Not an issue with the forum at all, it's on my end) - I'm not just reverting back to lurker status, i promise, haha.

I was down to 170.5 when I got back on Monday from a weekend of XC skiing in Lillehammer - the water there is sooooo much better than Oslo! And grabbing a SISO cabin to go skiing here is so much less expensive than it is in the states. Snow is a part of life from November through May here, so we just embrace it.

Then on Tuesday, after being home 12 hours, my husband and I were both up three pounds, even though our family always eats incredibly healthy and no one needs to lose or gain any weight except me. I'd be going nuts if he hadn't also gained weight, because I've been ridiculously strict on everything. 173.5 was not my friend. 172.5 today was nice to see, but I should be back in the 160s by now.

We already filter it, but I'm going to buy bottled water for myself for the rest of this round if anyone doesn't have a better idea?

Positives, my clothing is almost fitting me again, but I am definitely getting food repetition fatigue and missing my more intense workouts. I've got another 2ish weeks before I get to the 40 day max for P2. Depends on when my 5000 iu bottle runs out at the 170-175 iu per day rate I've shifted to.

    Original weight: 188ish.
    Today's morning weight: 172.5
Lowest Weight so far this round: 170.5
Total actual loss so far: 16 lbs
Goal for this round: 155 (I don't think that's feasible anymore, but it is still possible if the water issue is solved)
    Pounds to goal: 17.5

@LEEZ - That sucks about losing the doses, even if you spin it in a positive way, its unplanned and irritating. I'm sorry!
@MrsS - almond flour is such a staple in our house! I do NOT want to have to avoid it in P4!!! Did you try the defatted ones?
@Pearly - Don't apologize for rocking your round and enjoying the treats!
@Mo55 - That scale sounds crazy, but worth such a great trip. I hope your fam is supportive of your food goals!
@gz9gjg - Amen on the protein - I usually try to get 120g per day and it isn't easy. I don't like eating breakfast either, so I just keep high protein snacks within reach all the time.
@Jayk - Wishing you luck on the new job!

(I think I got all the regulars, right?)

I think I'm going to try to check in weekly with all you lovely girls, instead of feeling guilty for not having time every day to respond, even if I'm reading!
