@Iinkless - for me, the salvation is paleo/ primal. Unless I completely disappoint myself, that's the way I want to continue eating. My body soooo appreciates not having any sugar or gluten anymore, it is unbelievable. And yes, still losing weight on P3 didn't hurt my enthusiasm.

Inkless: Yes me too Primal/ Paleo is my life now as well. I felt incredible and do believe the leptin reset took place last round! So yeah!! :-)

I only put on 2 pounds between rounds (on P4 for a few months) but my inches started creeping back up. My waist, chest and thighs started measuring closer to my P2 start date size than the last drops date size. I could feel my clothes getting tighter. All 100% my fault though. I did it by eating bad. I'm not a fried food or fast food person or anything, but any chance I could shove chips and salsa in my mouth (or even just plain potato chips) I would. I ate lots of good fats and used oils and such, but I really think it was the chips. Some people do good on low-fat diets and some good on low-carb. I'm a low-carb person. But I promise you I will be eating them again, just in moderation and not 5 times a week! LOL!

As far as post HCG, I don't think I can handle the paleo life but have been very interested in the eat-stop-eat theory where you take 24 hours off of eating once or twice a week. I couldn't do 2 days, but will definitely try 1! I've read that several people after finishing HCG have done it and have been able to avoid counting calories and eat almost whatever they want and that they stabilized. I am also hoping that I will get back into workout out more and help keep the fat/inches off this time. :-)

Hey for me I fluctuated between 187 - 174 while i was off protocol, and for me, I realized that after this exercise will have to become a part of my life. I absolutely positively love food. So I will make this commitment with hcg to reset the weight. Then I have to make a commitment to myself to exercise and workout to keep it off once I go back to my normal eating habits.

I have found that if I do my 3 - 5 mile walk in the morning at least 4 days a week I will not gain a pound no matter what I eat throughout the week I actually lose hence the 174. The 187 came during vacation and when I got back procrastinated on getting back in the workout groove.

I state all of that to say this. If you know yourself and you know once protocol is over and you have full intention on going back to yes unhealthy eating habits figure out now how you are going to incorporate exercise into your life.

Emcee: On my Paleo ( because I'm not truly Primal) I didn't do the skip eating for 24 hours thing and I still maintained beautiful in P3 - I also have a serious weakness for chips - any chips. So I have to be very careful around them. I did find some gluten free ones that I really liked Beano's. So I do understand the whole chip thing...
Your the first person that I've ever heard say I didn't gain the weight back but my clothes did get tighter. So that could only be from fat gain - how interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Hi everyone, well I didn't get a chance to weight myself this morning, I got called into work at 3:30 this morning, so I just rushed out the door and didn't take anything to eat, so I think I'm the same, I don't feel any lighter, but I did manage to get most of my water in, so Im hoping for atleast a stall tomorrow, I haven't ate anything, so I guess I'll wait till dinner and have a chicken breast and cabbage and see what happens tomorrow morning. Does anyone know what happens if you don't reach 500 calories?

When I did this for the first time last year I was getting the 500 calories a day, but not anymore. I am between 350-400. Honestly, I don't eat much but a typical day will include 1 cup of skim milk in a Shakeology (from Beachbody) shake and a boiled egg (whole). I am trying to work in more, like fruit or veggies, but this works so well for me I hate to mess with it. Of course, if I were to add those items I would add some other source of protein and skip the shake for the day.

Michelle: Lisa is somone that has posted on this thread on July 10th, I know her from another round/thread we were on together too. She is very cool.
It is WAY too hot here. This is the rainy time of year, though, so that really helps a lot. We have great thunder/lightening/rain storms and they are just amazing!

Regarding the name Lisa, I only asked because you copied my quote, responded to it and said Lisa. I was just giving you a hard time.

Well, this time last year I went from 178 (I think) to 153 (I think) and right after I only spent 10 days in P3 (not whole-heartedly) and followed that with months of vacation. I knew full well what I was doing and what I was eating, but I didn't stress about it and gained most of it back. I will say, it was interesting because our first vacation was two nights at a Ritz immediately followed by four days in Vegas. Obviously I ate and drank everything in front of me and when I returned from vacation I had only gained .4 pounds - somehow! (I had my scale with me but it didn't cause me not to eat.) Then we had a 20-year reunion (DH's NOT mine!) weekend and then two weeks in Disney World followed by the holidays.

After my LOOOOONG round ending this past May I 'sort of' did P3 (and maintained) for 10 days and went on an 18-day vacation. Again, eating everything and anything. I gained eight pounds. I think most of it was because I was always drinking regular Pepsi. Pepsi and chips/dips are my weaknesses.

So, this time around I have already planned to transition properly and then start exercising with INSANITY, then probably P90X. I won't be going back to regular Pepsi and I won't pig out everyday, like I tend to do. I bet this will help a TON and keep me where I want to be. My friend recently went through P3 and is now in P4. She has done amazingly well, but she also hasn't gone back to eating a ton of carbs. She has been baking and cooking everything under the sun that is low carb/low sugar and has found some really good recipes (she's a sweet junkie). I believe she is still slightly below LIW. However, I don't believe she ever really increased her calories much, I think she is around 1500/day.

The only reason why I don't work out in the summer time is because I have a serious phobia of bugs. I actually use them as my exercise sometime. When a bee is buzzing around me, you can find me taking off down the street like Flash from Justice friends! XD That's how terrified I am. One time my best friend left the screen door open and I was on the computer right in front of it. And a bee got in, she said one minute I was on the computer, next second I was in the kitchen. she said she never seen a person jump so fast in her life. haha I was screaming the whole time. Luckily it went right back out the door. But you can see how I get that little exercise in every now and then.

    Sweets and Carbs gotta go
Nicely done on the first day of losses! You made me laugh about the bug thing because I do the same thing (but probably not as extreme). I TRY not to freak out because I don't want my kids learning to do the same thing. But why are they so darn creepy?!

[QUOTE=sweetiepie;721909]I had *the* most stressful day in the office today, plus my colleague brought ice cream... and I didn't even care. [QUOTE]

Wow, I am sorry you had a crappy day today, but good job not caving into the ice cream!

Great job keeping the weight off. I really don't think it will be hard to keep it off, I just have to actually try this time. Interesting about the inches without weight gain. I noticed that with the 10 pounds I gained before this round that I was bigger in the middle than I was previously at the same weight and now I feel like I am bigger at this weight than I was last year and earlier this year at the same weight. Actually, I can almost guarantee it because I haven't even thought about putting on my size 10 jeans (which I previously wore when I weighed 153) because my 12s are not loose. Crap, this is all messed up! Now I have to go try those 10s on.

I am not a paleo style girl either and also think that IF is an interesting idea. I think that coupled with exercising and moderately watching what I eat could work out really well. I am not willing to give up my carbs completely, though (with the exception of the soda).

I think I might have to go to bed REALLY early tonight so I get a lot of sleep in to make sure that the scale is as low as it will go in the morning! That's not going to happen, but I am so excited to see 149!

The kids have their school open house tonight - I am really excited for them! (We have year-round school so they start on Monday.) My DD will be entering 2nd grade and DS will be entering 1st grade (and then we have a 20-month old).

Might also be buying a boat tomorrow, which would be amazing! DH grew up boating and I got to experience some of it before his parents split, but haven't been on a boat in... well, I think it was 2002?! That is terrible considering I live in Arizona. I don't think it is right to live here and not have either a boat or a pool (don't have a pool).

Just blabbering... Hope all your days were amazing, you were strong-willed, excited for your journey to looking/feeling awesome, and you have great losses tomorrow.

What is your career? I would be one ANGRY lady if I was woken up in the middle of the night. I LOVE my sleep! There has been a lot of talk about the number of calories we are getting and you might see that some of just don't/can't do it and others are. I don't and I do pretty well it.

Phew! The jeans I thought were 10s are actually 12s and they DO fit! Good, that makes me happier. Another five pounds and they will be falling off. I was able to get into Gap size 10 jeans when I was 145, so not long!

@michelle: Lol I don't know why they are so creepy. I've always been scared of bugs. But I am trying sooo hard to stay outside for bit longer then 2 minutes. Soon as I see a bug I'm walking right back into the house. The only time I might stay out is when I need to get some things from the store. But I'm so in a hurry to get back home. T____T I'm working on it though.

I've never tried the shakeology drinks before. I've always wanted to. I have indeed tried the instanity work out. When I did the fit result thing, I was sweating bullets. When I did the first work out. I was working out with sweat pouring down my face. It felt like someone poured a container of water on me. Sadly I had to stop because the work out didn't do well on my knees, I wasn't use to jumping and all that other stuff. I think when I loose some more I'd give it a try. I think I'll be able to handle it then.

    @Sweetiepie
I'm sorry your day didn't go so well. But at least you know because you said no to ice cream your going to melt a pound away tomorrow

I'm still trying to figure out what the paleo thing is, I've never heard of it.

Sweetiepie - Thank you for the reminder. Living off of the 2000+ Calories stored in my fat cells is a lot easier explanation to people not on HCG, who think 500 calories doesn't work. Also how is your FlavorWave working out, I looked it up and from the picture, I saw I have one of those in the garage, mine's a NuWave, same picture.

What a great Win for you. That's Great!

I love this first week of P2. I started at 307.5, and today am at 297.5. Love being in the 200's. I just can't believe I had seen 300's twice in a year. My intention is to NEVER see the 300's again. I'm on HHCG and seem to be doing well, have a few late night cravings/munchies which have nothing to do with hunger. I like the thought of doing different length rounds over 23 as a minimum, if you do one this short, how long are you in P3, before you go back to P2? Anyone? I would like to do 43, but will keep my options open as they excess fat melts away.
Thank you for everyone who is sharing.

That's right, you said that you work at Denny's before, sorry.

That is terrible your co-worker's dad, I hope he is doing okay.

I have hypo also but, thankfully, don't have insomnia. Actually, it is only 8 and I'm thinking about going to sleep, but I can't until the kids go down in a bit.
