I looked at the unopened HCG, and it says good in powder form until 2024, same as bactosteric water, so I am okay. So far working out 60 to 75 mins 6 days week (7 weeks now), has got me to lose a lot of inches and lbs, plus be stronger, so it's not so bad. I could use 20 lbs off though for sure. I am just going to keep trying to get at that 20 lbs, for 4 more months of working out (and adjusting my thyroid meds), and when my levels are even, then I can re-assess where I am at, what my weight is, etc. I do like working out, the only part of the diet I do not like, otherwise, it's always been good. Keeping it off has been the challenge, I gain 20 to 35 of it back a lot. At least not the original 80. But I'll drop 10 myself, then do my diet, drop 17, usually goes on every year, or I also just have to be happier at a 15 lbs weight higher than my lowest hcg weight. HCG is amazing, because results are so fast, where as the way I am doing it right now, slow. I always keep my muscle with hcg and energy. I am pretty strict with the diet so it's a little boring to eat at times, but usually I'm not hungry so it's okay. Anyway, I'll check in later.

    -80 pounds!

I keep gaining 20 to 25 of it back, I take off 5 pounds myself and then I do a round and lose 20 lbs. So I have done a total of 7 rounds. I am on my 8th round, taking the SAME 20 lbs off. ugh. But at least I don't gain 80 back!

Cupcakesoaps, Working out that many hours, what exactly do you do? I prefer a short, but more intense workout a couple of times per week, with walking on the "off" days.

During the hcg diet, I don't think you have to stop working out: you just shouldn't start a new regime.

Also working out that much, are you gaining muscle? If so, you ought to be seeing smaller measurements and increased weight. So maybe your target weight should be higher, to account for the increased muscle mass?

I do around 35 mins of some type of cardio, and 30-45 mins of weights; weight lifting, strength training, free weights, resistance bands, kettlebell or weight machines. I find that I got rid of my plantar fasciitis that was there for 2 years finally by strength training and it overall helps my mental health and arthritis. In the past, I would just do a lot of walking and haven't done any real weight lifting in many, many years. So I'm getting back into it.

I find weight work done very slowly, with fewer reps, stresses my joints less and is very effective 1 x per week for each body area. I generally like to do split workouts - upper body one day, legs and butt another. Walking on the off days. Ref, "The Power of 10" book, can't remember the author.
