We're ringing in the mid-90s now, too. It would normally have been here several weeks ago (we've had lots of rain/storms), so I can't complain. But I did want to finish some things up outside before the more unbearable parts of summer in the South rolled in! Guess I'll be doing more working on the inside!

JayK, as someone who wears contacts (or did when my eyes weren't so dry all the time), I have to get them dilated once a year. I don't love it! Hopefully all was good!

No change on the scale this morning.

Hi Jayk, I dilate hard & fast with the drops, then it sometimes takes 2 days to get back to normal. But my eye Dr told me to use a drop of Lumify - it gets the dilation to reverse within a few hours.

Yesterday, we had 99 degrees - this is about a month early for northern Utah, and the heat won't break until Sunday. I'm having my deck rebuilt to raise it level with the door, and it will be done in Trex for low maintenance. It was sad seeing the redwood cut up, but they PAINTED it then didn't maintain it, so it had water damage and unsound structure.

First day of P4 and in a few days I'm on my way.

Ending P3 at 139, one above LIW. Yay and celebrating all my goal clothes fitting again even though I didn't make it quite back there. Scale started to come back down when I added in some beans this past week. Had some black bean salsa and some hummus with plantain chips. My body seems to need those slow burning carbs. i could tell a difference in my energy levels as well.

Thanks Jenny. It took hours but I bounced back. Much better today. I decided to wear contacts again as well, but just once in a while, as I have progressive lenses.
The contacts are good, except for real closeup, I need to put on reading glasses.

Thanks for that tip gz9gjg. I will write that down so I remember for next time. Yeah that would be sad about the Redwood, but not much choice. I bet your new deck will look good.

Congrats Leez. Always exciting when everything fits good. Sometimes the scale and what actually fits are two different things. So as long as your clothes fit, that's a good thing. So glad you did this, and can enjoy your trip.

    Rose you are doing great.

Last year we had really hot weather all the way to fall. So guess we are paying for it. Supposed to rain this weekend, which we all need since the Main Water break, and now they found more damage, and could be a few more weeks before anyone can use outside water.

JayK, that's where I am. I've worn glasses since I was 20, but aging/hormone changes plus saw school (with the 100+ pages a night of reading plus screen time) ruined my eyes and I stepped up into progressive bifocals. That was a fun transition, lol. I'm near-sighted, so driving with contacts is fine, but I have some "reverse" readers to push my vision back out where I can see up close if I need to read while wearing them.

Rose, you are holding the line and keeping things in balance, as a whole. That's all you can do!

Down .4 this morning. I was hoping for a little more, but down is still down.

    P4 Month 6

    Good morning all,
I took a moment to catch up on reading and as usual, everyone is inspirational. Thank you!

We had the shortest longest trip imaginable! LOL. It's drive drive drive, fly fly fly, drive drive drive. We have to drive to Denver airport, fly to Minneapolis, drive to small town in Iowa where the wedding was, then drive to my sister's other small town, then reverse. We did about 6 hours of driving and 3 flying, each way. We were only gone 4 days but packed a lot in. Bride was beautiful, groom happy, all good.

Our flight was delayed a couple of hours due to thunderstorms. We also drove through heavy heavy rains. But glad to be home. Last summer, we flew Frontier and they canceled our flight back on Sunday night. They only fly a couple of days a week from there, so it was Sorry, come back on Wednesday! We could not do that, so drove the rental car home --crossing Kansas is for. ev. er. This time, Southwest had a 2 hour delay so instead of landing at 10pm we got in just after midnight and still 2 hours drive drive drive home.

We have decided Iowa is the original Hotel California. You can check in anytime you like, but you can NEVER LEAVE.

I was crazy bad on food. My great plans went out the window the first night. I hadn't eaten all day so ordered two plain fish sandwiches at airport McD's, planning on just tossing the buns. Got on the plane and no sandwiches in the bag. None of us got what we ordered. All I got was a Diet Coke. By the time we reached MSP, I was ravenous and we hit another McD's and all bets were off. And you better believe when they passed out those little crackers on the plane, I snarfed them down and practically ate the bag.

I am up .2 over my window, so gained about 3 1/2 pounds, but I am also really tired, so will see how things go this week. I could go up more the next couple of days, but I am determined to get back to eating healthy. I enjoyed very bad bite, but I am done.

    Onward!

Yes I can drive with contacts as well. I can see close and pretty far. So lucky that way.

@ rose... Thank you, and your still doing good. Your very close to LIW

    @PearlyMae

Yes that sounds like an awful lot in a few days. All the travelling can tire one out, even though it may seem exciting at the time. That's a lot of driving and flights lol. Glad the Wedding went well.

I think you did okay considering what choices you had and delays in finding food. And when your hungry it's hard not to eat whatever is there. Give yourself a week or so to see how it all goes and don't be hard on yourself.

I ended up working all weekend, didn't sleep much then back to work this morning, and then they ask me to stay an extra 5 hours. Pay is good, but tired tonight now.

So I know I am up and down with weight lately too. Just can tell by the way my pants fit. I actually don't even have a scale lol. But I seem to even out, and just drink more water, plus making the Good Girl Moonshine, since I ran out of my Lemon sips.

I agree with PearylMae, it's just nice reading the inspirational posts and hearing from everyone even if it's not a long post.
