Hey y'all. It's been a crazy past several days. I'm see-sawing the same half pound up and down with hormone stuff, but still sticking it out. Back at 185.0. (184.9-- stupid scale app rounds up) That's about the extent of my positive today! Meeting a friend for lunch today. It'll be nice to get out for something that isn't an errand or chauffeuring.

Jayk, I hope you can get some rest soon.

Pearl, I don't know about you, but traveling, and especially driving long distances makes me retain fluid. That could be a lot of it. I bet once you are home and settled for a day or two, that will level back off.

Rose, you got there! I can't eat evening snacks. It always shows up on the scale the next day. I try not to eat past 5:30-6 if I can help it, and I don't eat anything at night unless I'm so hungry I know I won't sleep. Usually that would just be like a handful of nuts or spoon of peanut butter or something that is small but will pack a punch. Of course that's when I'm not dieting.

    I hope y'all have a wonderful day!

Rainy and cool today. Hope everyone has a great day.

I am down today, back into my window and only 1 lb over my LIW. Yay. I worked all day and half the evening to get stuff caught up, but cooking thighs and wings over lunch time paid off with a nice meal at supper time. I had Walmart deliver a small amount of groceries so had tomatoes and cucumbers, too. Wings dipped in good blue cheese dressing is way better than MickyD's.

Not sure if the drop will hold, as I am still draggy tired, but am grateful. I will just eat clean as I can (and nap when I can!) this week and see where I end up. I think my clothes fit okay.

I haven't unpacked yet, my house is trashed from two 20-year old boys taking care of dogs (they THINK they cleaned up, too!) and my puppy kind of went feral while I was gone. She will settle down now that Mom is back. The little lady dog was sooooooo glad to see me. She was really mad at me when I got home at 2 a.m. and kind of growled/screamed at me every time I went to pick her up. I finally grabbed her and took her outside and that was what she needed. Then she was delighted with me and has even followed me around the house some. She usually sticks to her little donut bed.

    Onward!

Uh oh. My posts are two in a row. Somebody come tell us about you, so this does not turn into the Pearlie Blog.

I am down another .6. (Snoopy happy dance!) I am still over my liw, but much closer. Everything fits, so I while I am still concentrating on getting UNDER my liw, it is not because I need to be in the below part of the window, but because I need to not go UP AND OVER the up part of the window. There lies creep. I really want to MAINTAIN at long last. I have been playing this game for far too long.

I sure love the money I am getting paid for this new gig, but boy my age is making me so impatient. The admin from the office emailed me she had some 'optical improvements' on my latest media advisory. 1. It's already been sent to 3000 people. Too late now. and 2. I don't think there is anything we can do to improve any one's vision through email, and 3. NOT HER LANE. There, I got it out of my system. Thank you.

    Onward!!!

ACK! Somebody post. I feel like a post hog.

But---I am DOWN 1.4! Now under LIW and only a smidge over where I was before traveling.

Am I NORMALIZING? What IS normalizing? What is NORMAL? I don't know but I like it!

I am not doing anything new or different but not adding anything 'bad' either.

    Onward!

I posted earlier but somehow it never made it up!! Congrats on the 1.4! I am down 1.1 today. I have about a week and a half of drops to go, and about the same til I hit my period, so hopefully the timing will work out. And hopefully I'll drop a little more before I get there! Hope you ladies are doing well and staying cool! It's hot here!

Congrats to you both for your losses.

I meant to post yesterday but got busy with other things.

I feel I am back where I was. I ran out of my vitamins and haven't been drinking my bone broth. I feel the Arthritis in my hands and knees more lately, so need to get back on track with that.

We are finally starting to warm up. Seems so weird when there is Heat wave in the East and you guys in the states. Strange year for sure.

Still busy with organizing when I have time for it.

PearlyMae, after traveling, getting dehydrated, eating unplanned foods, I generally drop a couple of pounds when I'm back home and in my normal routine. Seems it's happening that way for you too -

    P4 Month 6 post travel

Thank you, everyone! Gig, this does NOT happen for me, normally. Maybe if it is only a day or so of unbridled sugar eating, but not for 4 days and exhausted and no chance to catch up on sleep. If I go up, I stay up.

Which is why I am so adamant that I have to stay UNDER LIW. It is a mind game thing. When I get over 130, I give up. That number is really hard on me. At one time, when I was 29, my then husband said I was really getting fat. 130 was the highest I had been in my whole 29 years. Up until then, I stayed around 110-115. Of course, I was YOUNGER, and even just YOUNG. And of course, that number is not the highest I have beensince, as I lost ~ 47 lbs my first hcg time. It took a 47 day and a 30 day round to do it , but I got back under 130, barely. I was turning 60, so it was hitting a big birthday all over again. (I was under 130 when I hit 50 but it was a tough ten years!)

But, looking back, when I get to 130 again, next thing I know I am at 135 and then in the 140's. Only one time in the past ten years have I gotten up into the 150's. So, I have not regained all I lost, but I have been a serial P2er.

I am seeing that number makes me say, Whattheheck, and start eating off protocol and start the Creep. I-I-I-ME-I-Pearly start the creep. I DO IT to myself. And have not taken responsibility for it.

So, it is a (false) mind-set that I am fat over 130. I know, of course, that it not true. I could not wear my 4's and 6' anymore, but really, who cares? Most women my age have settled comfortably into 10's. But if you think getting past a weight Set Point is tough, try getting over a MIND SET point.

Also, it is absolutely true that over that set point my joints ache more, I tire more easily, and when I don't eat as healthy as I should, I hit the Tums and GasX constantly. So there are more benefits than just what size I wear. Also, I have much, much more confidence in myself, which I am in need of all I can get on that score.

So, rather than settling comfortably--maybe in my 80's, we will see, but I have Rose to inspire me!-- I will keep at it. To create a lower set point, according to the doctors on Google, I have to stay at the same weight for ONE to SIX years. I was in the 140's for about 3 and in the 150's for another 2, so no wonder my body keeps wanting to go back to those.

I have not maintained under 130 for more than about six months at a time. I was only in the high 170's for about six months, after several rounds of steroids for two different things. (I once asked a doctor how do I keep from gaining weight while on steroids and he said, maybe don't eat much?) But that was how much my FATHER weighed and he was 6'2 and I am 5'4 so it was a wake up call!

Anyway, my plan is to be mindful and not let myself go over this self appointed Barrier. Since my experience is once I take my eye off the plan, the higher set points kick in and I let them, I just need to stay on it. If I go over for an extraordinary thing, I need to not GIVE UP, but get back down. Seeing my body cooperate for the first time is awesome.

Hence I am still here. I am at 6 months, which is usually when I think I am safe and let go of the wheel and find out I am not safe. One year, maybe 7 years ago, I tracked my weight every day for a year and gained and lost 100 pounds, up 1 down 2, up 2 down 1 etc. ending up even. However, I did a round of P2 at the start of the year, gained 15 pounds five months in, did a round again and so the up and downs included that 15 up and 15 down.

All that to say I am thrilled that the Let go of the wheel weight did not stick this time and that I did not say Whattheheck and keep going, but went back to the foods I know keep me healthy. Admittedly, I was only at 130.2, and if I had been at 134, I might have succumbed to the power of unhealthy thinking.

Anyway, I hope someone gets something to think about from this. Nobody has to weigh under 130 but me, but we all have our Nasty Mind Sets to conquer.

I have not conquered mine, but I may have won a small battle.

    Onward! P

Great plan, PearlyMae - and I agree with you about giving up mentally if I go over a magic number.

Since I broke my ankle in February, I have lost muscle mass and gotten less strong. I feel squishy but my clothes still fit. I am walking a couple of miles every day, concentrating on making my walking gait more fluid and lengthening my steps back to my normal. Healing is a slow process at 68 YO.

I am starting PT Monday, wanting to get advice on safe exercises to build my leg muscles back up, and to regain flexibility in the foot / ankle, which are still swollen.

Meanwhile my builder's wife had her thyroid removed yesterday: using semiglutide injections pushed her into thyroid cancer. If she starts regaining weight, I'll point her to this forum - IMO, hhcg is FAR safer than the GLP-1 inhibitor drugs!

P4 at 2 months 149. up .4 over liw. @pearlymae. i usually succumb my mind at 150 to quit weighing. always a mistake. i?ve been creeping up albeit slowly and hope to stay in my window till my second short round in July. It has gotten a bit harder as i age but i started hcg in 2011 when i was 68 at an all time high. hcg helped me recover to a more healthy weight but of course lots higher than when i was in my 30s and at 118-125 i dont aim for those numbers i aim to be at a weight that shows my bmi amt normal.
