Today is definitely the last of the drops. I ended up treating myself to a steak, some broccoli, and a salad at Longhorn today... first day and last day. Seemed like a good way to wrap things up. Probably have some eggs here in a bit and call it a day. I doubt I'll be ready to jump back in before September. But I also don't want to push it later than that bc my mood starts to dwindle in the fall with the shorter days. Is P3 2 weeks or 3? I can't remember. And then a minimum of 6 weeks after that before we can go again? Is that right?

    Hi Jenny

P3 is 3 weeks, then 3 weeks of P4 and you should be able to start P2 again. If I am wrong someone can chime in.

PearlyMae, sorry about your eye. That is no fun. It had not been a great time with first your toe, and now your eye. I have had eye injury once so can relate, it is very painful.
I didn't do too much today, yesterday I did quite a bit, but all is good.

Rose, good choice you have made, and congrats on more loss.

Hello everyone else, glad to hear from you gz9gjg

Been drinking my lemon juice each day, taking extra fiber as well.

Been pouring rain all evening again.

Maybe that's where I was remembering the 6 weeks from. I need to just go back and read. Starting my transition to P3 down to 182.3. maybe I'll make it below 180. We'll see.

Sending everyone lots of well wishes for good health and a happy weekend!

That's kinda what I was thinking... with as long as this round was, I was thinking more time between this long round and subsequent ones lessens the possibility of immunity. I know people say you aren't supposed to have that issue with the drops, but I don't want risk losing the option of using this effective tool later. Plus, I'm just really tired of dieting! Kinda like having kids... I need a little time in between to forget how awful childbirth was, lol! Maybe I'll shoot for another round starting the beginning of September to finish up the summer. My birthday is the end of Aug, so I will be able to enjoy my birthday without messing anything up.

Good to see everyone who is posting. It makes my day. It is also a break in my day that I so enjoy, so thank you for sharing, each and every one of you. I love following your lives and adventures!

Jenny, don't lose us now that you are in P3. It helps to keep checking in!
Jayk, glad you are getting some down time. You are amazing!
Leez, you are still traveling, I think. Can't wait to hear your stories!
Gig, what are you up to? Is your leg getting stronger?
Rose, you are the little engine that could! You never stop!
Amy, Sweet Pea and Brick! Are you lurking? Missing you.

I think this afternoon will be quiet and I can get some stuff done and then maybe take off a bit early. I FINALLY have a hair appt this evening. I had a stylist that actually got my color right after suffering through a lot of hair that turned orange, and she moved away. What NO! You can't GO!!! I started going to my sister's stylist, who told me she didn't think we could do that color with my hair, even though I had just shown her pics of me for the year and a half the runaway stylist had done. She got it mostly right by the third appointment. So I had hopes. But then she closed her shop when she found out she was pregnant.

Start over. Find someone new. O Joy. I am going just to get my bangs cut today and have a consultation. I can't pay $250 bucks to be blonde. Well, I would if I could. I LIKE being blonde. I was white blonde until second grade, like many of us Vikings. Then went full mouse brown until I was almost 30. Then, miracle of miracles, they invented highlights and I have never looked back!

After 3 eye surgeries, four broken toes, a ten hour a month contract turning into a 100 hour contract and a partridge in a ... no, wait, that's "steroid drops in my right eye," there is starting to be a little WHITE at my temples. Well, at least it will blend with the highlights, unlike my roots. Boy do I need a weekend.

I was a bit afraid of the steroids, as that's is what got me here in the first place. It was after steroids for two different things with two different doctors at the same time (what? I'M supposed to tell them this stuff?) that I gained almost 20 pounds and ended up on hcg. Believe me, I was already ready before that, but it certainly pushed me to find SOMETHING.

Putting steroids in my eye does not seem to be a problem. Whew. But, come to think of it, I should THANK those doctors. How else would I have met all of YOU?

I am going to sleep until noon, or at least 8:30 tomorrow.

    Onward!

I forgot the actual GOOD news. I got another puppy! My white-furred Miniature Schnauzer just turned 18 months last Sunday, and I have been worried about her being an only dog. I actually have another teeny old lady Schnauzer, Piper, but she plays....not.

Piper was either from a puppy mill or a hoarder situation, and just likes to hang in her donut bed all day and sneer at the puppy if she walks by. She is loved and cared for but I admit she is a bit... odd. She has a tendency to let out a scream like a baby pterodactyl--- or at least what they sound like in the movies. I'm thinking she was from a royal family and it is her way of saying, We are not pleased!

So, Daisy has been super bonded to me, which is wonderful for me, but not so much for her. She needs to PLAY and RUN and have someone to do zoomies with. She needs to chase balls and play tug of war.

So, I have been waiting for the Colorado Miniature Schnauzer Rescue to find me a dog young enough to play but old enough to be gentle with Piper, who needs a home but doesn't need a mental health professional on call.

They found Capri! She is a silver MS but with a white face, just 2 months older than Daisy. Oh how they play! Oh how they run! Oh how they take up most of my bed!

I am calling her Pria, or Pri (Pree) and losing the KA part. I've had Pearl, Penny, Pepper, Poppy and Piper and my sister and I are both P names. I could not come up with a P name for Daisy until yesterday! I just thought of Paisley, but not sure I can changer her now or if I like Paisley enough.

So, we are a bigger family and much more fun. Pri is slightly taller and chunkier than Daisy but gentle. She sits when asked! Piper is not afraid of her at all. In fact, Pri was standing sideways in front of somewhere Piper wanted to get to, and Piper ducked her head and just walked under her. (I said she is tiny!)

Anyway, thanks for letting me share!

Hey PearlyMae, my ankle and knee are improving. I've been working with a contractor to tear out my old deck and rebuild it with Trex. Not surprising that it's gotten more expensive than expected, but it's looking great. We raised the deck level to eliminate an annoying step-down. Next, he's going to remove the hinged exterior door that leads to the deck, and install a 6' sliding glass door with a sliding screen. Everything is coming together: I ordered the door a month ago, and it was delivered today, right after we got the new deck surface installed.

Oh, and at the same time, we needed to.solve a drainage issue. My mobile home home is on a slab, but the dirt fill on the lot was too high and water got onto the slab. That caused the metal pier supports to rust; which we replaced last fall. After tearing down the old deck, my contractor dug a trench next to the slab, then filled it with crushed rock. That should redirect water to drain there instead of getting on top of the slab.

July Thread: July: Perfect Summer Days and Perfectly Lovely Losers

Gig! Thanks for surfacing. I know you have been here from your likes, but glad to hear you are doing better. My yard overhaul is almost finished, too. So much money but so fun to see your ideas happen!

Jenny, welcome to the roller coaster called P3. It is NOT a steady ride. Mix metaphors and get out your surf board and enjoy skimming the waves.

    Here is the July thread:
