Morning all! Down .6 today! I was surprised after my 2 hour gym session and extra protien(confession and a scoop of protien powder-off POP). I am sore as can be today but I love that feeling of actually feeling my muscles. For some odd reason I also decided to experiment today and see if I could run the day after a hard workout. Usually I just veg because I am so sore. I managed to do 3 miles but it was VERY hard. I was very weak. That could also be from running in the morning with no food first though. But I managed through it, now it's time to veg

Amy-hang in there, the losses will pick up. Like driver said time of day for weighing makes a big difference. Even today I weighed at 5am then went back to bed and weighed at 8am and lost .4 more. If you aren't getting enough sleep it can effect it too. Just try to stay as close to POP as you can, and then you won't have to wonder if you could have anything more, you'll know you did all you could and it is just your body doing it's own thing.

Driver-congrats on the big loss! 6lbs in 4 days, you are off to a great start! We will always be here for support. The mental game of losing weight is so hard, we all go through many bumps along the way. Controlling our own mind is half, well maybe 3/4 of the battle!

Welcome linda! 74 lbs! you have had great success on hcg! I can't help too much with options. I tend to eat the same thing. Chicken with salsa on either a lettuce wrap or salad. Hamburger with onions sauted in cinnamon and stevia on top. Cinnamon apple and strawberry sorbet are my desserts. I did experiment with cabbage for the first time last night. I made chicken with cabbage egg roll. It was very filling and not too bad.

Welcome Linda and Sipwine (that is a great name!!)

Donna and PB great losses! PB how can you work out so much on so little calories??? I think I would die if I did more than a brisk walk in Ph 2!

Amy..hang in there...that is so hard to make 2 sets of meals...especially when baby wants to give you taste tests!

AFM up a little the AM .4...not sure what I did, but meh...I ate on protocol. I had 2 very small apples last night since I was out of normal sized apples....sometimes me and Dr. Simeon have to part ways in Ph 2. I try really hard to stick to all protocol foods, but sometimes I eat a bit more protein and larger pieces of fruit. I am never "not hungry", but rarely do I have "white knuckle" hunger either..so I guess that is ok.
TOM is almost over and today I worked out a little at the gym...treadmill walking and sauna, so life is good.
Hard to believe 5 days are down..25 to go!

Dinner is done so now I am drinking tea.

    Hope everyone is great!

    Hang tough

I loved protein powder post exercise,
but it usually has some soy in it
and that's a MAJOR mess for my thyroid.
After trying several brands, my endocrinologist & I have agreed
that my body is better off without it.

I am sore as can be today but I love that feeling of actually feeling my muscles.
    I love that feeling too!
I have to get back to the YMCA.
In my first round I was prepping for knee replacement surgery
(running is not an option for me ater knee repairs)
I was going to the YMCA 5 times a week,
    PT once a week,
and Sunday's off with no exercise.
I alternated PT days with swimming days.
I had to swallow my pride & get my hefty body
into the water in a skimpy 1 piece - but it worked!
I had consistent & easy losses
much more quickly than I expected would happen.

Thank you, it's good to know that there's people here to count on.
My loss is slightly more because my net loss
does not count load weight gained.
    My numbers are always big
    unfortunately that's both ways
    gains as well as losses

    Welcome Linda.
So glad you have joined our group.
    Great losses!

I pan fry my chicken in chicken broth
to get the flavor of the fond
    created in deglazing.

Egg whites in broth sounds great!
    ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I am not a strict protocol only person

    I use my 1 lemon a day
for a hot drink evey morning
    before I eat/drink anything else.
in a coffee cup I add:
    a pinch/shake cayanne red pepper
6-8 drops of Sweetleaf liquid stevia
(depending on the size of lemon)
the juice of 1 freshly squeezed large lemon
    hot water

    And I eat:

1/2 (ruby red if possible) grapefruit a day

One Pink Lady apple a day
usually in my purse for "emergencies".

    I usually skip breadstick altogether
but when I do eat them
they are Schar Italian Breadsticks which are gluten free

A gallon of water a day, at least

    Fallback vegetable = asparagus

To try & bust a stall
(I do this before I try an apple day)
    Miracle Omlette
    Saute together:
    Spinach,
    onions,
a tiny bit of coconut oil,
When the spinach is wilted but still green add:
    2 egg whites,
    and 1 whole egg.

But I bet you know all these tricks
and I'm "preaching" to the choir.

    YOU are LOVED!

Tracey-I am actually not too sure how I am able to work out so much. For some reason this round I have had so much more energy(maybe it is because I am exercising). I hope to keep it up as long as I can, depending on losses and strength. It is so hard for me to get back into exercise routines ones I quit so I really want to keep it going.

I do have a confession though. I had a cheat Kind of. I really felt like I needed protein powder for my muscles so then I decided if I was going to have it, may as well have it in my cocoa cookie made with coconut oil. Some people use protein powder and CO in P2 without problems so I went ahead and did it. Curious to see the scale tomorrow.

I can't wait for my videos to get here...my arms are flabby...ick!

yeah, I kind of rationalized the cheat with "some people do fine on CO and protein powder".lol Also rationalized that it was ok because I exercised and my body needed it. These are probably just two very big excuses to cheat. The good thing after all these rounds is my "cheats" are never really that bad. I keep it to foods I love that are still good for you.

I cheat when I'm absolutely famished
    I'll have a quick filler-upper of
    4 oz 2% cottage cheese
    with 4 oz natural applesauce
    sprinkled with cinnamon
and sometimes I'll add some stevia

I'm one of those annoying people who can eat hamburger on protocol
although I've recently been turned onto bison (much less fatty & tastes great)

Occasionally, I'll have a tiny bit of coconut oil for cooking
but that's only to break-up my food routine
when I get bored with/tired of it.
