    Quick poll: (for those of you who still hang out here)
    A guy who works at Starbucks and i were chatting and he happened to see this picture of RUBY the plus-sized Barbie doll (which is the screen on my iPhone.) He THEN proceeded to tell me that back in his college days he used to go to the mall and hang out outside of Lane Bryant so that he could meet girls! Was he hitting on me? Yes or No???

    P3....odd

    Yesterday was my first day of P3.
    and last night I was wandering around the kitchen saying to myself "I KNOW have to eat something, but I am not hungry and NON of thsi stuff looks appealing" (at that point I had only had 700 calories.)
    I am NOT used to that.
    So I made a fage/ cream cheese thing that was all protein and fat and has $%) calories in it.
    And this morning I had LOST 2.4lbs.
    Not that I am complaining, but it is odd...

    I've just returned from a mini vacation where I didn't bring my scale, I was a little anxious to get on it being I did have various things like ice cream, hot dog, rhubarb cobbler etc. and to my suprise I didn't gain anything. I did do a lot of walking but I was so happy to have maintained for the last few days. How is everyone else doing so far this summer. I think Teresa that you will find your stomach has totally shrunk. I know mine has I feel stuffed so much sooner and what seems to be overindulging is probably nothing compared to how I use to eat. I couldn't be happier. Anyway I hope everyone is having a great summer. Deb.

    I seem to be stabilizing in my very tentative P4. DH, not so much. Poor dear has been on Prednisone and it is known for causing a weight gain. He is been mostly above his LDW. He was up 5.4 lbs recently, but a steak day got him back to only 2.2 above. Then yesterday we went to Red Lobster for lunch and splurged on 1 chedder bay bisquit each and made greek moussaka for dinner that used 2 Tbsp flour in 8 servings. I was only up .4, but .8 below LDW, but DH was up another lb, to 3.2 above LDW. He is nearing the end of his meds, so hopefully he can get back down again. He ate P3 clean today, except for a few tortilla chips crumbles in his taco salad for dinner. We had gone to Black-Eyed Pea for lunch and he ate clean, but I had meatloaf, black-eyed peas and turnip greens (left most of the turnips and ate the greens). I had 1 taco shell and the rest in a salad. I have worked out the past 3 days, and he hasn't so maybe that is helping me stabilize. I am still so sore this evening that I will do a epsom salt detox bath and see it that helps.

    Hi all,
    Here is my P3 so far…How is everyone else in P3 doing??? Has anyone added regular exercise yet? Are you seeing reshaping?

    I am 6 days into P3... I try to do a LOT of protein and stay low on carbs! I am not really worried about “fats,” but am trying to use healthier ones with omega-3 or olive oil in them. I haven't really been keeping a "calorie goal" in mind, but it has been right around 1450 for the past 6 days.

    In addition to the foods added, I also began taking an excellent chewable multi-vitamin again and started using tea tree oil soap, so those factors might affect my weight fluctuations too.

    Foods added in Phase 3
    Day 1=cream cheese, cheese, higher fat hamburger
    Next day= -.8 lbs= .8 below LDW

    Day 2=half and half, broccoli, .25 cup canned pumpkin, Fage, .5 egg, small amount of cheddar
    Next day= -2.4= -3.2 below LDW

    Day 3=3 eggs, 2/3 cups of cheddar cheese, sour cream, almonds, chili that I had on P2, just meat and tomatoes and onion…but this MAY have been the culprit, I always went up a bit on it or 3 eggs might be too many OR too much cheese…lots of variables!
    Next day= +2.5lbs the next day! (Still -1.4 under LDW)

    Day 4=half and half, almonds (MUCH less than previous day!)
    Next day= +.2lbs (still 1.2 under LDW)

    Day 5= ricotta cheese, whipped cream cheese, blue cheese wedge salad from outback, almonds (small serving), starbucks blueberry pomegranate twists, crab legs
    Next day= -.6lbs = 2.8lbs below LDW

    Day 6 was yesterday and probably not good. I will enter that in later, since I do not think what the scale reads at 4am counts since it is not officially morning yet! I have started TOM, at a few new things that might be questionable and had my FIRST diet coke in over a month yesterday! (I have decided on a one diet coke a week limit from now on!)

    Still tomorrow might be a steak day!

    I usually still have an apple, grilled chicken and a spinach salad every day.
    I seem to do pretty good on fage and half and half.
    Larger amounts of cheese and large amount of almonds don’t work out well for me, from what I can tell ONE serving of each of these a day seems fine!

    Eggs are still in the questionable category. I think I can get away with ONE because I usually have one on my salads, but THREE WITH CHEESE---a LOT of cheese---? Might be a problem!

    My only hope for the morning is that I will still be under LDW. But with the whole TOM thing (a week early!) you never can tell!

    Although I REALLY enjoyed my movie, I am actually going to study tomorrow!!!

    I just need to vent for a minute.
    My BEST friend for over 18 years lives in Ohio, 10 hours away from me. I have been telling her for MONTHS that I am coming up the last week of July which is also her birthday week. She told me she was super excited bc all three of her best friends will be able to be at her party....I ALSO told her that I have tickets to go to a play with my mom and sister on July 23 which is PART of the reason I will be up there that week. (Her birthday isn't until the 27th.) She is a bit emotional and after a really deep conversation about love and relationships and me telling her that I am worried that she is isolating herself and losing herself in the (controlling and potentially abusive) person she is living with about a month ago...she hasn't really talked to me since!!!! She told me she was NOT mad about the conversation and has been thinking of what I said. But since then we have NOT had an actually PHONE conversation, just a few short exchanges via chat or text----and I have CALLED her and left a message for her EVERYDAY for the past THREE WEEKS!!! I have been trying to get together plans while I am home and something special for her birthday. So I sent her a schedule of what my obligations for the week already are....and she wrote me back saying she wasn't interested in the one thing I thought she would really like (a trip to Columbus and a hotel stay i offered to pay for) and that she and Megan (her girlfriend) have ALREADY planned her party for July 23!!!!! Which is the ONLY ****ing day I cannot come because my sister bought tickets MONTHS AGO!!

    I am so mad and hurt and about ready to just ditch this entire friendship! I don't know what to do and there is no point in talking to her bc she will get all emotionally reactive and it will just start a fight which will result in HER not talking to ME for even longer!!! I know what she is doing---we have been here multiple times before...She has made bad relationship choices and is embarrassed, so she hides it from me, thinking I will judge her. We have been through this route before. EVERY SINGLE PERSON (both men and women) she has been in a long term relationship with has been abusive and she wants love so badly that she lets THEM do anything and then isolates herself from the REST of the world including me! And when doing that, she loses HERSELF every time...her dreams, her goals, her interests...and she BECOMES the person that SHE thinks her PARTNER WANTS HER TO BE! (We have had THAT conversation repeatedly!!!) She feels that if the relationship is going badly it is HER fault because she isn't "good enough" and how could she have ****ed up so many relationships and been such a failure, since she is the common denominator? I cry over her heartache and lack of self-worth ALL the time. It hurts me so much.

    But then it ALSO hurts me when I LOVE her and she cannot see that and would rather choose abusive people who belittle her over me! That and she has REALLY upped the drinking lately and in combination with all the meds she is on...anti-anxiety, depression, muscle relaxers and percocet for fibromyalgia...all that drinking just CANNOT be a good thing!!!


    OK, I am thoroughly upset and exhausted right now. I am going to go cry and then I am going back to bed for a few hours. Hopefully the scale will be nicer to me when I wake up!

    It seems you are doing pretty well in P3 so far. Why do you think you will have to do a steak day tomorrow?

    All I can say about your problems with your friend is {{HUGS}}. It is really hard to know what to do, since she won't return your calls and planned her party in the only day you can't come.

    Hello everyone....

    I just got back from a vacation and I'm happy to report - NO GAIN! I pretty much stayed w/ my low carb diet, weighed daily & avoided deserts and I didn't gain an ounce. Yea! I'm going out of town again in a week and that vacation is going to be a lot harder but hopefully I can keep it up.

    Teresa - sounds like you are having fun in P3. Cheese & nuts weren't great for me at the beginning of P3 so I just took them out but I've been adding a little in here and there & now it's going fine. You might want to back down with those for another week or so until you get stable.

    As for your friend...that story was really interesting to me b/c me and my BF are not speaking right now either. Makes me wonder...here we are making life changes (weight loss), maybe we are unconciously reassessing other parts of our lives as well? I've been friends with my BF for over 25 years and we've been through so much together. Yet we have been fighting about everything in the last few years and very recently, we've just quit talking. I don't know what's happening with your friend, but I believe when we start to make major changes in our lives sometimes EVERYTHING changes. For you to decide to lose 150 lbs, you have to have a huge shift in your thinking. It's possible you've changed and things you would have tolerated in the past are things you just can't tolerate anymore. You are working on getting healthy and she is definitely not. It's frustrating for you but you are on your journey and she is on hers. Everyone has to live their own life. I hope you can work things out though.

    Deb - Congrats on vacay maintaining!! That's awesome!

    Kathy - Sounds like you totally have this under control too! I still can't believe how much you've lost this year - woo hoo!

    Melissa - I am glad you had a no gain vacation. We had to do a steak day from ours and we were staying with my sister and her husband who were doing Adkins. Hope the next one goes as well for you.

    We have an anniversery trip coming up in August to a resort in the caribbean and it will be much harder, but we will be in P4 (hopefully for life). We are getting a condo so can cook some of our meals, so maybe that will be better than eating out all the time in the all-inclusive we had considered. We decided that would be a recipe for disaster with my son's wedding coming up at the end of September and my size 6 dress already bought.

    Hi everyone, It seems like everyone is very busy with summer stuff, and I am too. I thought I would just check in to say that so far I'm still maintaining even with some poorer food choices, summer is sure difficult when you are hardley ever home. I do find however that my portions are probably still much smaller than they use to be and yet it seems like a lot to me. I'm sorry to hear about your friendship troubles Teresa, I hope the emotional stress this causes you doesn't throw you off track to much. Life happens. My sister in law is battlling breast cancer that has spread to her lungs (she is only 42) and it has been emotionally draining as well. She is trying some alternative therapies, basically to do with diet. She has started a strict juicing diet with a lot of fresh organic fruit and vegetables, as well as things like essiac tea etc. For the most part she is trying to remain positive, but it sure is hard. Keep up the good work everyone, Deb.

    I'm baaaaaaack! Sorry for the silence... but I've been out of town the last two weeks and really busy. I've been doing great with workouts and clean eating. My weight is staying the same but I'm still losing inches body shaping up much better.

    However... I finally talked my brother into doing HCG... and I figured as a show of support I'd do a 23 day run along with him. I guess I figure it would be nice to get a little more weight off quickly... so I'm partially excited but on the other hand wondering what I just commited myself to! Haha!

    Anyway... I'm glad to see a few of you left. Proud of the few here who are still making it happen! WAYYY TO GO!!

    Oh and Theresa... He was DEFINITELY hitting on you. Start expecting it more and more dear...
