Yay! It's August, and our new home is available for the month! Thanks Coco (sdwis)!!

I am on R3VLCD27. Down a little over 50 pounds since January 2018, and going for ONEDERLAND.

I am not weighing in for a few days as I have a badly swollen leg from a nasty spider bite. Not poisonous, but a severe allergic reaction. It's a LARGE hardened area on my inner thigh with a HUGE swollen red area around that. The whole thing itches non-stop for 3 days. Due to my MCAS, I already take 3 H1 and 2 H2 anti-histamines daily, and I am allergic to benadryl, so there isn't much I can do except apply ice, use topical (non-benadryl) creams and alcohol wipes help while out and about! I went to Kaiser today and they said it is looking as expected and to keep monitoring myself for reactions to anything, as I seem to be overly sensitive to things righI hat now. My body is releasing way too many histamines in response to minor things. HEAT is a major trigger for me (even cooking can cause an "allergic reaction" sometimes), so I am just keeping it cool as much as I can, and the P2 diet keeps the food monitoring simple.

I am gearing up for returning to working a few days per week, and hubby has started working 2 days/wk at his new part time job. He kept his 1 day/wk salaried side job, and then finally received a full time job offer today. Decision time because the new job pays considerably less than his previous job... So, if he keeps ALL the jobs, we will make enough to make ends meet, and catch up on bills/rebuild a very modest emergency fund by the time we move next year. If he hasn't found a better job by then, we would move out of the area for him to get the job he wants/deserves. Until then, he would be exhausted! The new job would also come with MANDATORY overtime during spring and early summer, so it would change our move time. We would want to move before the mandatory overtime began in 2019, or we'd have to wait until it was over with. There will be a LOT of discussion happening in the home this week. I have been crunching numbers as I can't sleep. One leg is aching and the other is itching. Not sure which is worse.

Roni: hope that spide bite feels better soon..wow 50lbs that is awesome keep up the good work
Nothing like moving stress, job stress and financial stress to hinder losses, so stay on course, find time to sleep and take care of yourself Job and financial stress with my son's illness and the 5K deductible we make in the first few months of the year to have impacted my gains for sure. I am up right now at 3 am working, because I could not sleep thinking i have several reports to write before Friday if I want get paid for them all when I am in NYC next Friday. (it would be fun to have some additional spending money).

    Here are my stats
SW 178.6 (I was like 176.6 before load)
    VLCD 23 160.8 (LIW)
    (VLCD) 160.7 (VLCD) 160.7
    P3 week 1 160.7, 160.2, 160.7, 160.7, 161.0, 160.7, 162.4
    P3 week 2 162.4, 162.4, 163.9, 161.9, 161.9, 161.1, 161.1
    P3 week 3 162.6, 161.6. 160.3. 160.3, 161.4, 162.0

Ok..would have thought with that clean eating I would have gone down...not slightly up. But I am good. still within in my window for P4. I will do my best to eat as clean as possible today and tomorrow as I have a seafood (all you can eat lobster thing) on Saturday. I am not huge buffet or all you can eat food person. I do them, but never go overboard, maybe it is my old eating disorder thing coming out ( I used to not eat at all for days in high school) or my having grown up in Las Vegas where buffets were all over the place. They kind of overwhelm me and I find I want to minimize what is on my plate. I am playing tennis tonight and going for some wine afterwards. If people order snacks to share..I will pass and order my salad with some protein in it. I just need to be better about saying no to sharing those things.

I am up working, it is 330 am right now..maybe I would have been down .5 if I slept longer. It is ok. I started to think that I wanted to get my assessments written and turned in before Friday and I know I will not do any tonight, so thought get up and pound one out this morning, two Thursday night and if possible wake up early on Friday and do the last one.

Thinking more about P2 in Sept. I will order my injections at the end of August. My original date for loading had been sept 9th, but now maybe the following weekend as I am trying to plan a little late summer brunch/wine tasting thing and that maybe the only weekend we can get together..then plan is to do 23-25 days again and see where I am..maybe take a PI...maybe not. Maybe go a little longer. I guess I will know it when I get there.

I am more about clothes and how I look and feel this time around rather than a number on the school. 135 would be good..but I am ok with 140.

Roni - not sure if this would help you, but I got a bunch of mosquito bites a few weeks ago and it was suggested to me to put Vicks VapoRub on them for the itching. It worked! Apparently the menthol in it stops the itching. I know you're extremely sensitive to so many things, so I'm not giving medical advise here. Just putting it out there in case you weren't aware... Hope you feel better soon!

Sdwis, thank you so much for starting the August thread.

However, since the July thread is just closed, anyone who does not know how to search for this thread is going to feel bit left out. Kind of a "Boom: Closed." effect. Can you please put a last post with a link to this new one? Thanks! P

Sorry to hear about the spider bite. Hope you get better quick.

Congrats on hubby’s new job. Hope you two come to a quick resolution regarding the upcoming move. Moving and the plans thereof can be so stressful.

Hi Ladies I am on day 9 of VLCD injections and am down 10.8 lbs. I am using frozen syringes and should get my fresh shipment from Nu Image on Friday. I added in the Lipo shots as well so hope to keep this momentum going.

I had a few start/stop failed rounds late last year and early this year when my momís illness took a turn for the worst and then she passed in May. Depression and heartbreak didnít help so I am taking this round by storm and feel great.

I will have a PI Aug. 15-19 when I take my boys to Central Oregon for one last summer vacation.

I then have Mexico planned in November with my boys and want to knock off as much as possible so I will be doing multiple rounds.

I love seeing familiar faces on here and reading about your successes. Keep up the good work!!

    My R2 Stats:
    Pre-load: 180
    VLCD 1: (After Load) 183.8
    VLCD 2: 179.2
    VLCD 3: 179.2

Woke up to no loss, which is super weird for week one. But, since I had such a big loss from day 1 to day 2 (4.6 lbs.) I won’t think too much of it. I’m sure I’ll have a nice loss tomorrow.

I do wonder about my dosage, though. Currently, it’s at 125 iu and I’m tempted to bump it up to 150. Worried that maybe my frozen syringes have lost a little potency. Plus, I’ve experienced a bit of hunger, which I attributed to me getting used to week one. I thought eliminating fruit and Melba toast would accelerate my losses, but I don’t know.

My new batch of HCG came in today, so I think I’ll test it out tomorrow.

Even though I saw no progress this morning, I sure feel smaller and lighter already, which counts for something.

Hi, everyone! Mind if I join in? I'm a veteran, have done more than a few rounds of hcg, and am back for yet another Lots of medical issues these last several years helped put the weight right back on. So, here I go again.

Today is VLCD3, I'm doing injections, 150IU. My losses so far are GREAT, 8.2# gone, that includes load weight. I know I'll be doing a looooooong round, so I'll be here for awhile I tend to stay pretty dang close to the original protocol as well, I'm afraid to stray very far from it, hee hee. It's worked great for me so far so I'm leaving things alone right now.
