My body is being beyond stubborn. Nice loss on day 7, but gains ever since. Going to get rid of the Melba toast and reduce my fruit to one a day. Also going to eliminate beef and stick with chicken and fish. Then, I’m skipping a dose tomorrow, hoping this will all propel me forward. Based on how I feel during the skip day, I’ll know whether I need to adjust my dose. 175lb to 178lb is a previous set point for me. I want my body to push forward so bad, but the memory of this weight has a hold on it. Based on today’s weight, I have only loss 6.2 lbs. at VLCD 9. Trying not to sweat it so much, but it’s hard not to.
Take an Epsom Salt Detox Bath to get rid of the remaining inflammation. I do this even in the other phases, and it seems to add at least 1-2 to my loss if it's from inflammation.

I was so fit last summer/fall and now Iím wearing my fat pants again and avoid going out.

I got laid off in February and i turned into a food/alcohol junkie, recluse, etc. depression and low motivation to get another job. Luckily unemployment insurance and savings have helped quite a bit. Iím finally getting my confidence back and am determined to get these 30 lbs back off. Thinking of doing a long round with a PI for my bday mid September.

VLCD2 and down 4.4 lbs. I feel lighter already. Abstaining from wine and vodka will be difficult but Iíve done it before.

Hereís to kicking this round in the butt! Cheers!

    P.S. Where is Christy?

I was chatting at work in the cafeteria and I think my gain was from the few bites of chili I tasted yesterday. No beans but I bet they put some flour in there to make it thicker

Sounds like that was the culprit!

Pearly – How’s your arm doing? Like others have said, I’m sure your loading weight gain is mostly inflammation. Don’t give up just yet! I’m sure the losses will move forward before the end of the week.

Blue – Thanks for the support! I’m definitely rooting for you over here – you are on fire, another pound down at VLCD10! 15.6 total loss! Keep up the good work love! But I heard the fascia blasters aren’t good while on P2, because it’s like a form of massage. But you’re losing so well, it might not even affect you.

Charlie – Congrats on your 14 lbs down! I know it has slowed down for you, but you’re still doing great, love! Enjoy your PI! I’m sure when you come back, you’re weight losses will speed right back up! Sorry to hear about your dog! Hope she gets better soon!

Natalie – Hey love! Welcome to the August thread! Sorry to hear about your depression earlier this year, but so good to see you picking up the pieces and getting back to it. You’re doing great already! Keep up the good work!

Took one today with your advice. I take an Epsom salt bath daily, but this time added the baking soda and ginger. Hoping to see a difference tomorrow, which I'm also planning to do Grammy's Inflammation Smoothie first thing tomorrow morning. Also drank 100 oz. of water today.

I usually don't see losses the next day after skipping a dose (which is what I did today), but my fingers are crossed that I will.

The Baking Soda always helps me with losses. I've also recently begun adding pink himalayan salt sometimes when I find it cheaply at stores such as Big Lots. Let us know how it goes.

Sorry that you have had a gain - the crappy part with being a women is that our bodies do weird things and fluctuate strangely. It can be a simple as not having good sleeps. Have you tried ACV before bed? That helps me when I feel like I am retaining water, I just take a shot of it (approx 1/2 ounce) in water and at some point I will wake up and pee for what feels like hours .

Hi, Natalie! Good to have you here

Diesel, that's good to know about ACV. I'll put a note to self for future reference!

lovely, the Detox bath always helped me. I get A LOT of inflammation from my "stuff". It feels wonderful and helps rid the inflammation - win-win. Thanks, too, for the congrats. Perhaps that's why I'm losing as much as I am so quickly, inflammation? I do notice a much smoother silhouette, especially through the middle. Also, I'll probably be way too chicken to use the fascia blasters during P2. IF they do what they say, I'm sure it'd cause too much inflammation during P2!! But, it certainly gives me something to look forward to in P3. I'd love to smooth my thighs and upper arms a bit.

What is the benefit of adding Himalayan salt to your bath?

AFM, down another .8 this morning, VLCD11. I'm at 181# even, thinking I'd LOVE to drop another forty more. GEEEEEEEEZ, that sounds like a ton to me, but it is what it is. NO intention of trying to stick in this round to do it, though. If I can lose the max this round, I'd end at 162.8 and require "only" a second round. Plus, I haven't been THAT low in several years now. I'm just glad to be losing right now.

    My R2 Stats:
    VLCD 1: 183.8
    VLCD 2: 179.2
    VLCD 3: 179.2
    VLCD 4: 177.4
    VLCD 5: 178.0
    VLCD 6: 177.4
    VLCD 7: 173.4
    VLCD 8: 175.8
    VLCD 9: 177.6
    VLCD10: 175.8
    VLCD11: 174.4

    -9.4 lbs
    -1.5 inches waistline

9.4 lbs down at VLCD 11 isnít bad, but Iím used to losing more.

Still one pound up from the end of last week, but happy my weight is coming back down. Yesterday, I took the detox bath, a series of high volume enemas, drank 100 oz of water, and skipped a dose. Also took Melba away and only 1 fruit daily, no beef ó just fish and chicken only. Keeping my meals between 12 noon and 5 pm (intermittent fasting). Going to take Grammyís inflammation smoothie at noon and see how that goes. And do another detox bath over the weekend. All of this would be giving it my best effort and I really wouldnít know what else to do, so hoping the loses rev up or stay more consistent.

My weekend job has me on my feet, walking back and forth, carrying heavy trays for 5 hours straight. I always leave with sore feet. Makes me wonder if that has anything to do with it. I always take an Epsom salt bath when I get home, but my losses have still fluctuated. That along with the fact that Iím at a previous set point has to be whatís slowing me down.

But Iím pushing past it all. Not letting anything stop me.

Everyone elseís losses are keeping me motivated. Keep up the good work everyone!!!

    Hey Nat! Welcome!

Lovie, 9.4 in 11 days? Whoo hooo! I always hope for 10 in the first 14 and then I think I am AWESOME. LOL. Yes, set points, unusual exercise on weekends, all of that is going to make you flip flop some. But, good attitude! Get 'er done!

I wanted to take a detox bath last night, but was so tired I was afraid I'd either drown or have to call the fire department to get me out of the tub. So, finished a new James Patterson book instead. (It should have been for the weekend, so I got it on a Thursday and finished it in one night. NOW I don't have a book for the weekend!) Then took my muscle relaxer pill and not sure I even turned over all night long I slept so hard.

Kind of a whoosh! 3 pounds down over night. That does not quite put me back to where I was before loading, but it is a nice step in the right direction! I have one more pre-filled syringe for tomorrow and then I will have to mix on Saturday. Any loss tomorrow and Saturday a.m. will keep me going. Any undeserved gain... we shall see!

NO ONE coming in today. whoot whoot! It has been so busy it has been ridiculous. So, no new b&b guests, no prospective resident tours, no luncheons, no board meetings, no socials, no nuthin. Maybe I can actually get some work done!

IF it doesn't hail.... Did you see on the news about the zoo in Colorado Springs getting hit by hail earlier this week? We are down the hill about half a mile from there. I will have the roofers come and walk the roof, but mostly we just have piles of shredded leaves and broken branches. a I do mean PILES- a foot or more deep. I was at the drive-up window at the bank --a mile away- making a deposit when the hail started, and it was golf ball size to START. I just sat there under their steel canopy and waited it out. Talk about blessed. Over 400 cars at the zoo were not drivable because of shattered windshields and they are still sitting there. Takes a while to tow 400 cars. The zoo is still closed, cleaning up the mess. We had special needs kids night we always go to tomorrow night, but, of course, it is postponed!

    P
    stats Part II:
    P1: (+1.6) (+1.2) VLCD1 SW 136.6, VCLD2 137.4, VLCD3 134.4,
    PearlyMae (AKA Polly Pocket)
Live Like You're in Love & You WILL Be!
Ticker set for + / - 2 pounds from 130.8 LIW from Fall Round

Jan 2013: 173 to 126.8. Multiple rounds since then to stay there! Back Again!
